This hotel offers a banquet room and food for a phenomenal deal. We had a dinner buffet for 100 guests with 3 meat entrees, two vegetables, potato, rolls, and sald for $18.95 per person. The food was outstanding.
The rooms were spacious and clean- with a discounted rate for guests who booked early.
All staff members were professional and courteous.
I would HIGHLY recommend this venue to anyone looking to host a Grand Rapids function. The hotel is on Ann Street, north of downtown, but has great views and FREE parking.

We used the Grand River Hotel for our wedding hotel in August. We chose them mainly because of the location, ½ mile away from our wedding venue, The Cheney Place. They are also a newly renovated hotel and not right downtown, making the price a lot more reasonable for guests. The block rate was initially $149/night but since we had so many guests book, it ended up being $113/night! Which is incredible for Grand Rapids area! The only problem with this hotel is the lack of organization. I had to be on them constantly to make sure reservations were not messed up and that everyone was in the block. They are all very friendly though and I would definitely recommend for wedding blocks due to the cost!

Let me start off with the wedding people you deal with are very friendly and helpful. Now let me let you know what to expect if you do your wedding there. First off, when we arrived, after asking for early check in, we were not able to get it. We got there after check in time and our rooms were still not ready. Not even the brides room.
We were told the brides room was done and went into it and it was dirty! Towels on the floor etc. Other people in the wedding party had dirty sheets after check in, we had to wait for rooms, and others were given the wrong rooms. Also, at checkout they tried to charge guests the wrong rate; not the wedding discount rate.
The food was very good and we were pleased with that, but there was no one assigned to the head table to so one of our wedding guests had to get drinks for the head table because of it. Next, the morning of set up. The tables were set up wrong and there was an argument between staff and the bride to make it right because they didn't have it set up as directed.
We got past all of those mistakes and tried to make the best of it. However, the icing on the cake of this whole experience was getting the call the day before our honeymoon to let us know they were charging us for items they claimed we stole. We clearly were not going to steal petty items from a place we just dropped a lot of money at. Bottom line after several phones over several weeks we were called got to speak to their head manager Todd R. who not only interrupted my husband, when he was trying to calmly tell Todd about our experience. Todd rudely cut him off and tried to tell us what a great time we had at the Radisson and we should be happy with what received.
Bottom line, the service we received at this venue was a joke and the customer service provided by the management was also a joke. Would not recommend the headache.
