While the space can accommodate up to 500 guests, it allows creativity within the layouts to give a 150 person event a unique and intimate feel. When you reserve The Grand Hall, you’ll have access to our beautifully furnished Suites and plush seating areas on the Mezzanine.

10/10 Wedding Venue!

I highly recommend booking The Grand Hall for your wedding! The team there was so helpful leading up to the day and they made sure everything went perfectly. It was the perfect amount of space for our 250 guests and we got a ton of comments during and after the event from our guests raving about the beauty of the place and how perfectly set up it was. I am so happy that this was the venue for our big day!

It was a Fairytale!

The beauty of The Grand Hall at Power & Light will speak for itself! Its beauty paves the way for those fairytale type weddings you’ve always heard about but have never seen, and that’s exactly what happened for us. Our wedding was an absolute fairytale and our photos at The Grand Hall prove it! But what made us decide to choose this venue wasn’t just the aesthetics of the space or extraordinary bride/groom suites, it was the incredible, one-of-a-kind staff! Our wedding planning lasted nearly two years because of Covid and throughout the entire process, Tyler and Dom were the most patient, kind, and helpful people we could have hoped for! They answered endless questions and helped make decisions we were struggling on making on our own. They treated us (and all of our vendors) like royalty!
Fast forward to the day of our wedding/reception, and the entire staff of The Grand Hall was just as amazing as Dom and Tyler! They all worked together to help get us our incredible photos, made sure we felt comfortable, and made sure all of our guests were taken care of.
We had the best day of our lives and The Grand Hall & staff played such a big part in that. We can’t recommend this venue enough and hope to use it to renew vows!

Best venue in town!

We booked the Grand Hall as our reception venue within two days of being engaged! After seeing photos on social media and reading reviews, there was no question about booking with the Grand Hall. The space itself is one of a kind and so unique to Kansas City. Because of this, we knew our guests would also love it and they did! The mezzanine level was perfect for our cocktail hour and guests had plenty of space to enjoy themselves. The ballroom is so spacious that it allows for couples to have the room set up in various ways. We spent most of the day getting ready at the Grand Hall and utilized the space for our pictures. By the time the reception began, we really understood why everyone said the space was so magical! With the uplighting from Fernando Productions and the floral with Hitched, everything came to life!

Overall, the service at the Grand Hall couldn't have been better. We appreciated everything that Jessica, Lauren, and the team did to make our day so memorable. They were quick to answer our emails, especially as our day came closer about table set ups, coat check, etc. Our ceremony was offsite and ended sooner than we expected. Most of our Guests showed up to the Grand Hall sooner than we had intended. However, Jessica and Lauren worked with our planner at Hitched to jump into action for the cocktail hour. Overall, this space and the service is one of the reasons why our day was so magical! Do not hesitate to book with the Grand Hall as it is the most beautiful venue in town!

A dream venue!

The minute we walked into The Grand Hall, we knew it was our venue! The building speaks for itself - beautiful, full of history, and brings a sense of romance to all who enter. The team at The Grand Hall is wonderful to work with. They are enthusiastic, efficient, helpful, friendly, and fun. All of our other vendors were happy to hear we chose The Grand Hall, because The Grand Hall has formed good working relationships with so many vendors in Kansas City. Our guests were amazed with the venue, which provided the perfect intimate ceremony space, while also accommodating a large group of people for cocktail hour and dinner, and a perfect sized dance floor for the dancing that ensued throughout the entire night. We are SO happy with our decision to have our wedding at The Grand Hall, and I can't recommend it enough!

The Grand Hall was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding. Becky was the best coordinator to work with, she was super timely on emails, etc. and so patient and willing to work with us to have the absolute best day. They were so accommodating and made for the best reception. If this venue will fit your budget, I HIGHLY recommend it. If you aren't super into decorating, it doesn't matter because the Grand Hall is so beautiful on its own. Honestly, I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful place to celebrate our favorite day

The Grand Hall was by far the most gorgeous venue in the area. My husband and I looked at quite a few and this was a no brainer for us. Working with Nicholle and staff has been a very positive experience. They respond quickly and go above and beyond to make sure you're wedding day goes smoothly. The one negative when we booked was that you needed to use their alcohol vendor (overpriced and difficult to work with); however, I believe that has changed. Gorgous venue, amazing staff. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect reception. All of our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about the Grand Hall!

The Grand Hall is an amazing venue for a wedding reception. We selected TGH for the May 2017 wedding reception for our daughter and son-in-law. It does not disappoint! Our guests are still saying the event was the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended--and I owe a lot of those compliments to TGH! The interior is stunning and the layout is perfect for designing your dream reception. It's nice that the rental price includes the use of their tables and lovely gold custom-designed chairs. There is also a lovely Bridal Prep Room and a Groom's Prep Room--both beautifully decorated. Nicholle, the director of sales; and Courtney, our event manager were great to work with. I highly recommend The Grand Hall! I only wish I had another child ready to marry so we could do it all over again!!!

Before you book anywhere, check out this venue. The space is a Kansas City JEWEL! The are many amenities included in the pricing that you don't see elsewhere. The staff is extremely professional and take a personal approach in guiding you through the process.

We had our wedding at the Grand Hall in September and it could not have gone better! From the moment we walked into the space when searching for a venue, we knew it had to be here! The architecture creates a romantic, timeless feel that that requires minimal decorating. Working with Becky was seamless. She handled coordination before the event and during the event with ease and allowed ourselves and guests to enjoy the event freely without concern. We have gotten so many compliments on the beauty of the space and from our guests and could not have asked for a better experience. I would HIGHLY recommend the Grand Hall for your next event.
