About
On WeddingWire since 2023
The Rock Island Bridge is a wedding venue located in Kansas City, Missouri's historic West Bottoms district. The bridge was established in 1905 over the Kansas River, and it has since been repurposed as the world's first entertainment district of its kind. People have been building bridges, writing songs about them, painting them, and using them as metaphors since time began. The Rock Island Bridge can take couples and their nearest and dearest on a magical journey to the other side.
Facilities and Capacity
Rock Island Bridge features two bars, a commercial kitchen, restrooms, dance floors, and sensational views of the river and the historic Strawberry Hill neighborhood. The Top Deck is a private event space 40 feet above the river with a wedding capacity of up to 250. Guests will enjoy the rustic modern charm with all the comforts, including a 50-foot bar overlooking the Kansas Waterfront. The Patio is a smaller outdoor venue available for intimate gatherings and as an add-on along with the Top Deck for more lavish celebrations. This one-of-a-kind venue is where memories are made, and dreams come true.
Services Offered
Newlyweds and their loved ones can take advantage of the numerous activities in the surrounding areas during their stay. Hiking and biking enthusiasts can enjoy the new trailhead and dedicated public crossing connecting to trails on both sides of the Kansas River. Team
Hi! My name is Jake and I am in charge of events at the Rock Island Bridge. I am from St. Louis originally, but moved to Kansas City after graduating from the University of Central Missouri. Even before it's construction, I worked with the founders of the Bridge to help make it a perfect place for couples to tie The Knot. I am looking forward to helping make your day special!
