History
This property was originally built in 1864 as a formal country home for George E. E. Sparhawk, a prominent doctor. It later operated as a bed and breakfast for many years before its closure. The current owner, Kevin S. Travis, grew up in Texas and fell in love with Vermont as a child. He purchased his first home in the Green Mountain State in 2001 and has kept a connection with the state ever since. Kevin got the chance to buy The Cobble House, his neighbor of 23 years, and did so to make sure this storied property lived on. Drawing inspiration from his time in cities such as Boston, London, Johannesburg, and New York City, this new owner aims to share the very best of Vermont with you and your guests.
