What is the story behind The Carolina Girl Yacht?
Looking for a Charleston wedding venue that feels completely different from a traditional ballroom? The Carolina Girl is a private yacht wedding venue where you can celebrate your entire day on the water with Charleston Harbor as your backdrop.
Accommodating up to 125 guests , the yacht offers three levels of indoor and outdoor event space with views of the Charleston skyline, historic district, Ravenel Bridge, marina, and harbor.
The best part? So much of your wedding experience is already taken care of. The Carolina Girl offers an almost all-inclusive experience, providing the venue, event coordination, furniture, entertainment capabilities, and many of the essentials needed to bring your celebration together.
Host your ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, dinner, and dancing all aboard the yacht . Your rental includes tables, Chiavari chairs, lounge furniture, a top-deck dance floor, in-house coordination, DJ mixing booth and sound system, climate-controlled indoor spaces, bridal party staging, and audiovisual equipment.
You'll also have the flexibility to choose your own caterer, florist, and photographer , allowing you to personalize your celebration while The Carolina Girl handles many of the details.
Planning a full wedding weekend? The Carolina Girl also hosts rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, farewell brunch cruises, and other private events.

The Carolina Girl entire staff was fantastic to work with. Everyone from Courtney in Sales and Camille in Planning to Kayla in Coordination was very quick in responding to requests. They all made the whole process very easy. We could not have asked for a better staff the day of the event. I believe the quality of the management tells you how the staff will be that represents them. Top notch service from the entire staff and crew. We had a wedding where there were no complaints and that’s something that is hard to accomplish. Thank you Carolina Girl for a job well done.

Best unique venue in Charleston!
We wanted our out-of-town wedding guests to experience Charleston from the water, and The Carolina Girl delivered the perfect evening! Camille was incredibly responsive throughout the planning process. She answered all of our emails and questions within hours (if not minutes!), built out a great timeline, and coordinated seamlessly with our vendors. We appreciated having a preferred caterers list, given the yacht’s unique setting. Charleston Catering and the Carolina Girl team integrated so seamlessly it felt like one perfect crew. With 108 guests onboard, the yacht never felt crowded during our wedding reception. The Carolina Girl is truly the most unique venue in Charleston, and I highly recommend having an event onboard!

We are very pleased with the services provided.
We held our wedding reception on the Carolina Girl and it was perfect. We loved having a unique venue that would entertain our out of town guests and give them a harbor tour! The venue and atmosphere was classic but relaxing. Everyone loved the ride. The crew was outstanding and virtually invisible in a good way. They made sure everyone was taken care of at all times. The boat is beautiful and I barely decorated!
