The Carolina Girl entire staff was fantastic to work with. Everyone from Courtney in Sales and Camille in Planning to Kayla in Coordination was very quick in responding to requests. They all made the whole process very easy. We could not have asked for a better staff the day of the event. I believe the quality of the management tells you how the staff will be that represents them. Top notch service from the entire staff and crew. We had a wedding where there were no complaints and that’s something that is hard to accomplish. Thank you Carolina Girl for a job well done.

We wanted our out-of-town wedding guests to experience Charleston from the water, and The Carolina Girl delivered the perfect evening! Camille was incredibly responsive throughout the planning process. She answered all of our emails and questions within hours (if not minutes!), built out a great timeline, and coordinated seamlessly with our vendors. We appreciated having a preferred caterers list, given the yacht’s unique setting. Charleston Catering and the Carolina Girl team integrated so seamlessly it felt like one perfect crew. With 108 guests onboard, the yacht never felt crowded during our wedding reception. The Carolina Girl is truly the most unique venue in Charleston, and I highly recommend having an event onboard!

Captain Bob is such a nice man! Camille and Courtney were always very quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had. Melissa did wonderful at the wedding. Even though it was pouring down with rain Captain Bob and his staff made sure we had a memorable day!! ❤️

In a word, awesome! They boat was beautiful and the crew was on point. The crew was professional and attentive to our requests. This company truly understands the effective customer service model. I Highly recommend this for a wedding or corporate event. From booking to coordinating vendors on board they truly have white glove service.

We really enjoyed our cruise with the Carolina Girl. It was a fabulous experience. The staffing was outstanding and very courteous! The captain was awesome. I definitely would use the Carolina Girl, again!

We held our wedding reception on the Carolina Girl and it was perfect. We loved having a unique venue that would entertain our out of town guests and give them a harbor tour! The venue and atmosphere was classic but relaxing. Everyone loved the ride. The crew was outstanding and virtually invisible in a good way. They made sure everyone was taken care of at all times. The boat is beautiful and I barely decorated!

We were looking for a unique venue for our wedding. The Carolina Girl was absolutely fabulous. We had our ceremony and reception aboard for 4 hours. Captain Bob and the entire staff went above and beyond to help us have the most amazing wedding day. Our guests are still talking about our wedding day and how great it was. Definitely look into planning your wedding and or reception aboard The Carolina Girl.

We held our daughter's wedding reception aboard the Carolina Girl in late April and it was the most amazing experience imaginable! From the very beginning, As mother of the bride, Ashley took such great care of me, so responsive to my many questions and emails, always the professional with an extra dose of sweetness! I felt in good hands through the entire planning and day-of experience. Our guests are still talking about what a magical evening it was - perfect weather, smooth sailing thanks to our handsome Captain TJ and his crew and a full moon rising at the end of the cruise - heaven sent!

This was the perfect venue! Ashley and Captain Bob were outstanding. They gave me everything I asked for and they were there and efficient every step of the way. We were able to enjoy our wedding day because they were so attentive to us and our guests. I would recommend this venue to EVERYONE! It was a very simple but elegant wedding and all of my guests loved it. The Carolina Girl, hands down!

I worked with Ashley through the planning stages and she was AMAZING. Took care of everything I couldn't! Really kept me level headed in my spastic times. Monica was our day of coordinator and she was GREAT! I had guests coming up and telling me that she was really on top of things and making the day run smoothly!

Fantastic venue!!! If you want a fun, unique wedding that your guests will love, book them now!! The breeze, the beautiful view at sunset and the fact that you're on a yacht is reason enough. So many people are still telling me it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Captain Bob is personable and creates a fun, exciting atmosphere while Ashley (my in-house wedding planner and head events coordinator) made sure everything went flawlessly. She even bustled my dress!!! Who does that? :) She's amazing! They truly went above and beyond and gave us the perfect day.

The staff on Carolina Girl were so attentive on our wedding day. They worked well with each of the vendors that came to set up. Ashley was just all around excellent. I didn't have to worry about anything! Everyone was great!

Everything was perfect! Our guests loved it and we loved it! Everyone was so helpful and pleasant to work with-from the expertise of Camille and Kate in helping me plan and work the details, to Ashley being there the day of to make sure everything went as planned (she was amazing), to Captain Bob being so welcoming (and entertaining on the microphone), the DJ, bartenders….everyone was so professional, pleasant and easy to work with; it truly was the perfect day!

Omg....these people are amazing!! They made my wedding day super easy....I literally did not have to do anything but get dressed and show up! All of our friends and family are still talking about what a great time they had, and how beautiful the venue was! The Carolina Girl not only met but exceeded our expectations and contributed to making this special day extraordinarily exceptional. We chose the Carolina Girl for our wedding and reception after evaluating several different venues. Like others, we wanted something unique and exciting. We chose them for our wedding based on our experience with the people we interacted with like Capt. Bob and Camille and based upon feedback from others who had used them in the past. We could not have been more pleased with the professionalism and care the staff showed both preparing for the event and during the wedding.

As an event planner, Camille took great care to help us identify and recommend several different options for everything we needed including caterers, flowers, pictures, etc. She ensured everything went smoothly leading up to the wedding and that nothing was left to chance. All of her preparation paid off as everything happened exactly when it was supposed to on the day of the wedding and the boat staff was fully prepared.

The day of the wedding, Ashley was a consummate professional and handled any issues that arose quickly and effectively. We even had a problem with one of the vendors however Ashley jumped in and immediately handled the situation without any fuss on our part. She was a pleasure to work with; we could not have pulled this off without her.

The staff was extremely professional and on more than one occasion went out of their way to make this event special not only for us, but for our guests as well. We want to personally thank Captain Bob as he was forthright about ideas for making the event great and providing insights into what he has seen that works best while keeping the wedding unique to our tastes.

As others have shared with their feedback, all of our guests described it as the best wedding they had ever attended! We highly recommend this venue and staff to anyone.

Our Rehearsal Dinner aboard The Carolina Girl was a smashing success. Captain Bob and Camille, our coordinator, were very professional, easy to work with and made some great suggestions. The DJ kept the dance floor hopping. I highly recommend The Carolina Girl as a very special venue for any celebration.

We had our wedding rehearsal on the Carolina Girl and it was a grand slam event! Camille (planner) helped me with top-notch recommendations on catering, transportation, flowers and timeline. Capt Bob and the boat staff were exceptionally professional, friendly and attentive to guests and needs. Cruising the harbor at night on this beautiful yacht was memorable for all and.am still hearing from the 95 guests that it was one of the best parties ever!

Would I use them again? You bet....in a heartbeat!

The Carolina Girl was the perfect wedding! We wanted something short and sweet but with a breathtaking effect on our guests and this was just it! The quality of service was great! Camille, Captain Bob and Ashley did a great job making everything run smoothly! The communication between Camille and I was great! She did a wonderful job of helping me out! The boat is expensive for a venue but worth it! We used the boat for 3 hours and they seemed to fly by but in retrospect, it was the perfect amount of time! I hid on the bottom floor until the ceremony started and it was the perfect entrance! The sunset was a beautiful view! There was plenty of food as well! We used Crave Catering and they did a great job! This venue is perfect for those who want a simple wedding without too much planning. All I had to bring was the backdrop for the ceremony and the center pieces. The venue itself is beautiful and not much else is needed! You don't have to worry about entertainment either, there is so much beauty around that the guests just spend the whole time exploring and eating and taking pictures! Stress-free wedding! I would do it again!

We had our rehearsal dinner aboard the Carolina Girl and had a fabulous time! All of the pre-planning with Camille was so easy...she communicates quickly and clearly, which was great! On the night of our event, Ashley and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. We couldn't have been happier with their service and our experience! The DJ was great, and our catered food from Jim and Nick's was delicious! Overall a great time was had by all...our guests raved about what a wonderful, unique experience it was. This venue comes with an in-house wedding planner, so you definitely don’t need your own! Our planner Camille was so amazing to work with throughout the process and we simply could not thank her enough. She was extremely responsive to emails and phone calls within hours of our questions and totally kept us on track.

As for Captain Bob, we cannot think of a better captain for our event. From the moment we met him, we knew he was the man for the job. Not only was he very knowledgeable and capable of a safe cruise, but he’s extremely personable like us and we knew this would add to a memorable experience for our guests. We also appreciated the Captain’s crew for their professionalism during the event as well as the hard work they performed to ensure the yacht was shining for us.

During the event, all wedding planning is put into the hands of an onboard coordinator/event director. Our coordinator was Ashley and we had a blast with her! Her flexibility during the event and ability to make things work while herding tons of people is just awe inspiring. The four-hour event went by way too fast and there is no way we would be able to do all of our important traditions without her help!

DJ Bob was an absolute hit! The music was spectacular and everyone had the opportunity to dance.

We chose the great value of Jim 'N Nick's BBQ for our catering. The food was AMAZING! We had so many guests compliment us on this. Jim ‘N Nick’s food and service truly gets a full 5 Stars in our book! We can't wait to visit the actual restaurant again our next time in Charleston.

We are surely leaving something out but again wish to communicate to everyone this is the best wedding venue ever!!!

I had my rehearsal dinner on the Carolina Girl and I will say it was one the best nights Ive ever had! Many memories made on that boat! Captain Bob, Camille and the staff were exceptional! The boat is so nice, clean and roomy. The upper deck is great for a beautiful view while your riding around the Charleston Harbor. I highly recommend the Carolina Girl to anyone for any event. You will be guaranteed a great time :)

Very memorable experience! It has been almost a year since our wedding. And our friends and family still talk about how much fun we had. From start to finish I would still choose The Carolina Girl to have my wedding on!

We were recently married on the Carolina Girl. We had such a positive experience and everyone loved it. The staff made everything so easy from the planning to the actual ceremony. We had babies, children, adults, and senior citizens and the venue was perfect for all. (I do recommend taking a baby sitter or two as we did!)

My daughter in law had her ceremony and reception on The Carolina Girl and I must say that it could not have been a more beautiful event. The weather was glorious and the Captain situated the boat in front of the most amazing sunset. Captain Bob officiated which lent such a relaxed atmosphere to the ceremony. He was able to ease the nervousness of the couple as well as involve all of the guests so it was the most intimate and lovely ceremony I have ever witnessed.

Camille worked with my daughter in law for 12 months walking her through every step of the planning process. She and her team were available at all times for consultation or meetings and were there the night of the wedding to ensure all went well. And it did! The sound system was top notch and DJ Bobby not only played everything my daughter in law requested but he really knew how to incorporate music that got all of the guests involved. Everyone, from the kids to the grandparents, was dancing up a storm on the dance floor.

This was truly an amazing event! From the beautiful sunset during the ceremony to the backdrop of Charleston harbor during the reception, this was a one of a kind wedding that is still talked about by our family and friends to this day. This website only allows me to give The Carolina Girl 5 stars but in my book they are a 10!

Our son' s wedding reception took place on The Carolina Girl on a beautiful evening Labor Day weekend. My daughter-in-law who is very "Type A" had done most of the planning from Hawaii where my son is an officer in the Navy. Capn Bob and Camille went over and beyond to accommodate many of her special requests for the reception to ensure not only she and my son were happy but by doing so provided a venue that without a doubt wowed all that were in attendance!!! Capn Bob's good natured humor and great wit was a godsend in breaking the ice that sometimes is felt between 2 families that don't know each other. His knowledge of the Charleston waters and professionalism in the wheelhouse certainly made this mother of the groom feel safe for all the guests onboard! There was a small communication hiccup about the serving of champagne in which Ashley jumped right in and made everything right before the bride ever had a chance to grimace...she's awesome and ensures everything runs like clockwork for the event as well as is so incredibly personable! Finally a huge call-out to DJ Bob Clair who with his great selection of music got young to old out on the dance floor cutting a rug and fun was had by all! Capn Bob and his entire crew provide a unique experience unlike none other in Charleston and all our guests are still talking about it and saying it's by far one of the best receptions they've ever been to! Thank you Capn Bob and all those a part of The Carolina Girl that made my son's reception truly one for the memory books!!!

My husband and I had an unforgettable night for our wedding! Everything was absolutely perfect on the Carolina Girl! From the coordinating, to the captain and crew, to the dj, everything was exceptional! Would HIGHLY recommend the Carolina girl for ANY event!

We booked our Rehearsal Dinner aboard the Carolina Girl Yacht. Absolutely AMAZING! It was large enough for all our guests, beautiful views of Charleston and outstanding staff and service. They were professional and accomodating at all times!

Definitely a big plus to use Carolina Girl as the staff are extremely helpful and courteous. The yacht is well cared for and very nice. The cruise is so relaxing and especially beautiful at sunset. It was a real joy to work with them for our son's rehearsal dinner and our guests really enjoyed the event. The even went off without a hitch thanks to Ashley and Captain Bob. This is a really easy way to have a very nice event!!

I just wanted to take a quick minute to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the work and dedication of The Carolina Girl and its staff (the Capt Bob, Camille and Julia, in particular) showed us in the planning and execution of our wedding last month. It was truly one for the books and will not soon be forgotten by our guests and especially by us...especially not the promised & delivered spectacular sunset! Your attention to detail and calm and friendly style really made us all feel at home. And I could not have been more relaxed knowing that every detail was being looked after by such capable hands…from managing the DJ and the bar, to the catering and the ceremony timeline- it was perfect! The staff was great and the venue was amazing.

The Carolina Girl was AMAZING. We had our wedding there in April and it was without a doubt the best night of my life and I can't pick a better atmosphere to have a wedding. It was a gorgeous night, the boat was beautiful, the service was great, all of the employees were so nice and friendly to my guests and attentive. Kate and Camille were so sweet to work with and knew their stufff. Captain Bob was funny and sold my sister on the yacht the minute she met him. He loves what he does and that makes for a great experience which is what our wedding was. The price was reasonable and in my opinion a much better use of our money because our guests were able to attend a fun, laid back wedding with a beautiful backdrop touring the waters of Charleston, SC.

The Carolina Girl was the perfect venue for our wedding. We've been married for two years now and people are still talking about how great it was and how they all want to do it again! We had a wonderful experience and wouldn't have changed a thing. The staff of the Carolina Girl was incredibly helpful and couldn't dream of doing anything differently. It's an incredible experience and not many people can say they have gotten married on a boat. One day we hope to rent the Carolina Girl for a big anniversary party!

I can't say enough about the quality of our event. This was a destination wedding and it went off without a hitch. We had "iffy" weather but then the sun came out, it was beautiful for the sunset marriage (complete with dolphins). The Captain provided us with a beautiful backdrop for the pictures and the events moved seamlessly through out the evening. The bartender was wonderful, courtesy and interactive.The music list we provided and embellished by the DJ was an event in itself mentioned by numerous attendees. It was easy to use by providing a list of your music choices and it's a done deal. I've been to other weddings where the DJ is out of sync with the guest but not on the Carolina Girl, it was tremendous everyone danced and laughed and celebrated the occasion. All the guests still tell me it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to.

The Carolina Girl Yacht offered an incredible venue for our wedding!! All of our guests enjoyed the tour around beautiful Charleston while enjoying great music and good company. I loved that I could keep decorations simple and elegant because the boat was already so nice. The Captain and DJ were both very personable and the crew members were very helpful and nice. The only things that kept them from receiving a full 5/5 was 1. The three hour time slot was nowhere near long enough, but the fourth hour was so expensive for them to just stay at the dock during that period, and 2. The "event planner" that's included on the price only ordered linens and provided a preferred vendors list for all other needs that I was responsible for scheduling. All in all though, the yacht gave me an incredible night that I'm proud to say I used for my special day and many amazing memories to look back on.

Wow! All I can say is wow! Our friends and family have sent me texts all week saying our wedding was the best wedding they've ever been to, and a LARGE part of that is owed to the staff at the Carolina Girl. They were very detail oriented and made sure everything was just as we wanted and expected. I am an organized person, but Ashley helped me realize things that weren't on Pinterest or any checklist. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND in every way possible from bustling my dress, to helping with decor to ensure my vision, to handling confrontations as they arose. It is not an exaggeration to say my wedding day wouldn't have been the same without her. Many family members chatted with captain TJ, and enjoyed learning about the yacht, and the bar staff was amazing making sure no one had to wait for their drinks. I fell in love with the venue when I saw it online, but the ambiance isn't even half of what they will contribute to make your day anything short of amazing!

For a venue that is anything but traditional, I would recommend The Carolina Girl in a heart beat! I grew up boating, so this was a great fit for our wedding! Camille was helpful, to the point, and reassuring through the entire process. Ashley was a dream--the day of the wedding went very smoothly with her as my right hand (wo)man!

70% of my guests were out of town--what a great way to showcase Charleston than on a boat!

Captain Bob is smart in the way that he has hired these lovely ladies to be the face of the Carolina Girl because his personality can be a bit harsh at times. He's a great guy to talk to, but forget talking about business with him because you'll get scared off right away--avoid him if you're a delicate flower :)

They made my day a complete delight and I will never be able to thank them enough! Everything went lovely and everyone had a marvelous time! You can't get a better view of Charleston than from the Carolina Girl

The DJ on board is an option for you. His name is Bob. In my humble opinion, Bob is not a person you want to have taking care of your music on your wedding day unless you really do not care about the music that plays on your day.

There were pops in the music, tracks that skipped, and I am not sure if he knows how to transition from one song to the next...completely and utterly unprofessional. He left huge 10 second gaps between songs...my iPod could have done a better job!! We went through the entire booklet he gave us and color coded which songs we wanted him to play and songs we absolutely did not want played. Did he really, REALLY look at it? Doubtful.

Unfortunately after Ashley told him what I wanted, my husband complained, and I complained twice, he finally kicked it into gear and I was happy with the music. Should not have happened.

The Carolina Girl was the perfect venue for our wedding. The pictures were amazing and all of our guests had a great time. My only recommendation would be if you’re planning on getting married aboard the boat.. hire your own DJ and insist they attend the rehearsal. The only DJ that works with the boat messed up every single song in our ceremony. My bridal party ceremony song was cut off while they were walking down and an advertisement popped up causing all the guests to laugh; my maid of honor walked down to my song; then my recessional music played.. all before I walked down the aisle. The ceremony music was finalized a week and a half before the wedding; but because it wasn’t the “required two weeks” it was my fault for the mistakes according to the captain.

My wedding was scheduled for 5/30/2020. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our wedding due to the pandemic. No one could have predicted in Sept 2019, that we would be in this state. Carolina Girl REFUSED to refund our money. Brides, be very careful when signing a contract with this venue. Have an attorney read the fine lines and provide you guidance from there. All other vendors I booked gladly returned our money with no problem. This was the only venue that did not!!
