What is the story behind The Boulders at Skyrise?
The Boulders at Skyrise is a wedding venue located 15 miles outside of Florence, Arizona. The boulders are a privately owned, 150-acre property featuring giant granite boulders, towering saguaro cactus, and other foliage. The property is very secluded, so you can enjoy nothing but pure nature. The boulders also feature a completely off-grid tiny home that was once a shipping container.

Amazing venue!
I’ve done several types of shoots at The Boulders over the years and they’ve all been stunning! It’s by far my favorite place to recommend to clients because of how unique the background is. It’s perfect for any photos! Ive even done my own family photos here because of how stunning it is. Their communication is stellar as well which is important to me when working with multiple clients

Engagement at The Boulders
My wife and I got engaged at The Boulders and we absolutely loved it. The high desert landscape is stunning—open views, classic Arizona scenery, and a peaceful, natural setting that feels special without being overdone.
It’s only about an hour from Phoenix, which made it easy for us, and the weather in the fall, winter, and spring is perfect for being outside. Everything about the place felt clean, calm, and well cared for. We left already talking about how great it would be for a wedding.
If you’re looking for a beautiful high-desert location that’s convenient from the city and has ideal weather most of the year, this is a place worth seriously considering
