The Bernard’s Inn has entered into a new partnership with celebrity chef, David Burke. We have a newly renovated restaurant bar and main dining room.
Fueled by passion, grit and a knack for artful innovation, David Burke is one of the best known and most respected chefs in modern American cuisine with his signature whimsical, boundlessly creative approach to food.
Currently, Burke and his DBHM team operate or orchestrate the culinary component of 18 restaurants, a bakery and our historic property, The Bernard’s Inn.

The Bernards Inn is a wedding venue located in Bernardsville, New Jersey. This luxurious property offers couples a romantic and intimate escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city as they celebrate their wedding. The stylish and sophisticated decor allows couples to create the wedding they’ve always envisioned right down to the finest of details. With dozens of glamorous chandeliers and cozy stone fireplaces, this enchanting site welcomes guests to rejoice in harmony and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Facilities and Capacity
The largest event space at The Bernards Inn is the outstanding Fenwick Ballroom. Featuring large windows, a bar and a dramatic skyline, this 2,300 square foot room makes for large ceremonies and extravagant receptions. The Fenwick Ballroom can be arranged to include seated guests, a dance floor, and live entertainment while accommodating up to 160 guests. Alternatively, this ballroom can be split into two separate event areas for smaller, more quaint festivities.
Meanwhile, Fenwick B is slightly smaller in size and holds celebrations of up to 65 people in a similar layout. Other fabulous rooms include The Bernie, previously known as the Silver Vault and Wine Pantry. These two rooms can be opened up and used together or used as two separate rooms. When renting the space, you get the entire space. The Silver Vault, with its exposed brick walls, wooden beamed ceilings, and overhanging chandeliers, rustic bar and banquette seats. Used on its own, this space makes for great banquets and can seat up to 40 guests. The equally impressive rustic Winery Pantry, features stoned walls, chandeliers and cozy seating. When used in accordance with the Silver Vault, this area makes for a maximum of 5 oval tables with a maximum of 55 guests for dinner, while dancing is held in the adjoining vault with the extended dance floor option. The Bernie is a great space for a cocktail hour before entering into our Fenwick Ballroom.
Services Offered
Upon booking your event at this venue you will receive a variety of event services and rental items. The helpful staff at Red Horse by David Burke at The Bernards Inn will help with the setup and breakdown of your event, allowing you to truly immerse yourself within your celebration. Further services include hotel accommodations (20 hotel rooms on property, including a bridal suite and grooms suite) and a culinary team that will create a customized wedding menu.
