Tanglewood Plantation is a wedding venue located in Lynchburg, South Carolina, just a short drive away from Florence, SC; Sumter, SC; and Charleston, SC. The main house, built in the 1830s, sits on 24 acres of regularly maintained grounds. Couples can hold their ceremony and reception in a number of outdoor spaces across the property, both covered and uncovered. The house was constructed in the Greek Revival style and features double porches. It was acquired by Jamie and Orville Dyce in 2014 and has undergone various modern upgrades since then, making it a gracious wedding venue. Their motto is Home Hospitality History.

Facilities and Capacity

Tanglewood Plantation welcomes celebrations of up to 500 guests. Couples can celebrate across the property’s 6,500 square feet of event space, including two expansive brick patios. Both of these decks feature fountains, which are perfect for wedding photos. Caterers can use the 600-square-foot professional kitchen. A restored schoolhouse acts as a get-ready room for the couple and their party, allowing them to comfortably finish any last-minute preparations.

There are two packages available to choose from when it comes to the day itself. Couples can choose to hire the venue themselves and manage all of the details themselves. The team at this property can manage setting up the venue for your celebration and is also available to assist with cleaning up when the last guest has left.
