I am wedding photographer who loves (loves!) my job.
I know a lot of photographers call it photojournalism, but I mean it more than the other guys.
If I were to pick some adjectives to describe my work, I’d choose: Audacious | Inspiring | Real
But then I would insist that it’s really hard to put the quality of a visual art into words and show you my photos instead. As for my philosophy, I consider the images and moments that I capture, a true and tangible way to tell stories and touch lives. If we’ve done the right legwork, our styles will have perfectly meshed by the time your big day rolls around. Then, it’s up to me to observe, to capture, to pay attention to important (and forgotten) details, to work that artistic muscle; all the while keeping your vision in mind.
And let me tell you, it’s pretty magical.
Why do I do what I do?

-Because of the unique experience of getting lost in my thoughts when I’m behind camera; relishing the pure moment of just being a wedding photographer.
-Because there is breathtaking beauty in weddings and I get to celebrate that beauty and see it cultivated in my life. -Because I really love serving my clients and give them an incredible experience.
I come to your wedding with the mindset that your big day is the most important day in my life, and I treat it (and you) with great care and love. I believe that no two weddings are alike, and I strive to capture your wedding for its unique beauty, its incredible details and the extraordinary stories that it creates.

Joel is an amazing photographer!! A lot of fun, easy going and extremely professional. He has a great eye for capturing moments. We were so thrilled with our engagement and wedding pictures, everyone was. He did such a beautiful job. I would definitely recommend Swoon and Swagger.

Joel was one of my favorite vendors to work with. He was very professional, easy going, and listened to our needs. I appreciated the fact that he worked with our budget. He went above and beyond and was more than a photographer. I felt like he was my wedding coordinator at times because he checked in with me often to see if there was anything we needed and even helped me look for other vendors that we did not have. It was a pleasure to work with him and his team. During the wedding, Joel was very attentive and made sure he got all the shots that we requested. In all, our engagement and wedding photos were beautiful. If we had to do it all again, we would hire him in a heartbeat.

Our wedding package included an engagement session. We loved our first session so much we scheduled a second session of engagement photos.
