Great cake, terrible service
We're Brazilian, and it was important for us to have a cake that featured Brazilian flavors. Sweet Corner Bakeshop was recommended by a friend. We had an initial tasting and everything went well, but after that it was all downhill. I do want to make very clear that our 3 tier wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. The service we received, however, was terrible. I have 64 emails back and forth with them, because the person I was working with required constant follow up, would promise things and not follow through with them (i.e. telling me they would get me quotes and give me incomplete information, or take many many days to get back to me, not be able to tell me price differences if I added or removed elements, etc.). At one point I learned the person had left the company but the new person who became my new contact would still not send me information when promised, etc etc. I was not confident that they would do a good job, but it was too late to back out and I really, really wanted their cake. Anyone else would probably have given up. I read reviews saying Rodolfo (the owner and cake designer) is great, so if you want to work this company, I would recommend requesting him to be your contact. I honestly felt like my order was not important to them at all. On the day of the wedding, my cake ended up coming with sugar flowers, which I had removed from the cake - from this day I don't know if this was them being nice to try to repair what they did or if they are so unorganized that it just went unnoticed. Again - amazing cake, bad service.
