I'm a wedding planner and had already worked with Nicolle on numerous weddings, so when it came time for my wedding, I knew I wanted to work with her for my wedding cake. When we booked our sample cake box order, she made the process super easy and was so helpful with guiding us on the different flavor combinations. As a planner, I had a particular vision in mind for my wedding cake and Nicolle truly brought it to life. I wanted one big cake (for our guests) and two miniature cakes (one for me and one for my husband), but I wanted them to be cohesive with each other and with my wedding design. Nicolle was so patient with me with my (what felt like) hundreds of questions and helped me brainstorm ideas when I wasn't quite sure about certain aspects. We came up with a mix of her designs on each different cake and it went SO perfectly with my wedding theme and color palette. On wedding day, I was blown away by how beautiful the cakes were and they were so deliciousss!! My husband is not really a cake person, and even he still talks about how good his coconut cake was and asks if we can buy another one just to have it again! I couldn't be happier that I went with A Simple Cake for my perfect wedding cake(s) and I highly recommend her to literally anyone who needs a wedding cake. I’m so happy we decided to go with A Simple Cake for our wedding. Nicolle was incredibly communicative throughout the entire process, promptly responding to our inquiries and accommodating any special requests we had. She guided us through the various options, providing helpful suggestions while also listening carefully to our preferences. The tasting process was really fun - I had expected to do a tasting with my fiance at the bakery but ASC gives you a box of your trial/options to take away, which was actually even more fun! We brought the mini tasters to our wedding venue (a brewery in Brooklyn) and made a date night of it - it was an unexpected highlight of our planning process. Most of all I can’t get over how flavorful the cake was - normally wedding cakes are dry and bland but this was beyond (we went with lemon cake and raspberry filling)...we can't wait to indulge in this delicious cake and reminisce about our wedding day a year from now!

My husband and I got married in Brooklyn, New York in Fall 2023. We quickly identified Nicolle, of A Simple Cake, as our top choice because of her affordable prices, easy-to-understand website, and wide variety of choices. Despite not having the largest budget, Nicolle worked to create exactly what we needed.

We did order a cake sampler with 4 mini cakes of various flavors and fillings. We ended up mixing our favorite flavor and filling from two different initial thoughts and ended up with a spiced cake and vanilla bean filling -- perfect for fall! We opted for a New York skyline design, which is a custom design Nicolle offers.

We honestly couldn't be happier with our choice and our cake was both delicious and gorgeous. Nicolle is incredibly knowledgeable and is so friendly and professional. We cannot recommend her enough!

But the coconut cake with passionfruit curd was by-far one of the best cakes I have ever tasted. We had to have it for our wedding!
