We are so happy we choose SSS for our wedding desserts. We didn’t want a traditional wedding cake, and instead wanted to have a dessert table with an assortment of cupcakes, banana pudding, and flan. Deb was super helpful in planning our vision from start to finish to pick the right selection of desserts, flavors, and quantities while respecting our budget. We went to the bakery in LES for a tasting which helped confirm our selections. The vegan options were just as good as the regular flavors. Our wedding was in Brooklyn, and Deb helped secure the delivery details. The desserts were a hit on the day of the wedding, as our guests told us they had 5 servings of dessert because it was too good to stop!

I love Sugar Sweet Sunshine! While I was in college a friend brought me to the shop and I have loved them ever since.

For a birthday a few years ago, my dad drove me from a Rangers game at MSG to pick up a cake and cupcakes (we live on Long Island!) for my birthday.

This May, I had my wedding in Breezy Point, Queens, NY but I was worried they wouldn’t deliver. They would and they could and they did!! It was amazing and we heard so many compliments. I was so happy and I have been eating the mini cupcakes for at least a week now. They are the best cupcakes I have ever had and the staff is so helpful. They were responsive and helpful every time I emailed.

Peggy was amazing; she went above and beyond to make our wedding day and our dessert/cake be everything I wanted it to be!

From beginning to end, they were perfect! The cake was on-time and so, so delicious the day of the event (people who don't usually eat wedding cake complimented it). Peggy was so easy to work with and very helpful when I was deciding on texture/flavors. The tasting was so much fun. Peggy even specially frosted a cupcake on the spot that had the flavor combo I was looking at. I looked into about 20 cake places and by far the experience was best here. It was a huge win that the cake was the best tasting too! Lovely vendor, excellent cake, great price as well!

We had cakes for both our engagement party and our wedding from Sugar Sweet Sunshine. From our initial tasting through to eating our leftover wedding cake on the sofa it was a fantastic experience. Peg is absolutely lovely and she helped us decide what we wanted (pistachio for the engagement party, and pumpkin and vanilla for the wedding), and how best to work within our budget. She was very understanding of how much we had to spend and we ended up with a small tiered cake and additional sheet cakes.

Most importantly of all the cakes were incredibly delicious, being both moist and light. We got so many compliments about how it was the best wedding cake ever. Thanks so much to Sugar Sweet Sunshine - highly recommended!

We ordered guest's cupcakes as well as our wedding cake, through Sugar Sweet Sunshine. They were amazing! The entire process was quick and easy. Peg put our order together, and had delivered exactly what we asked for. Their cupcakes are our favorite in the city, and our guests absolutely loved them! Our cake was spectacular. We asked for a naked cake, 2 flavors, and 4 layers. It was delicious of course, and looked just beautiful. Everything was delivered on time. Peg and her team are so wonderful! I definitely recommend Sugar Sweet Sunshine for wedding baked goods-- and for life in general! :)

This cake was the best cake We've ever had!! So delicious and yummy. The cake was moist and the frosting was sweet and there wasn't to much frosting. It was very reasonably priced in fact the cheapest I could find without going to Costco which is not yummy at all. I loved the cake and the cupcakes and it was perfect! I know who I will be hireing for baby showers birthdays and all of my families special occasions. Sweet Sunshine Bakery You are the best! Thank you, Tim and Kristen Wilson.

Sugar Sweet Sunshine is my favorite cupcake place in NYC, so it was no surprise when everyone found out that is what they were having in place of traditional wedding cake at my wedding in April!

Working with sugar sweet sunshine for my wedding cupcakes was a breeze! They recommended we get a small cake to do the formal cutting as it would be easier and boy am I glad that I followed their advice! The cupcakes came out great and were packaged easily to travel to my reception hall. I picked them up myself the day before and they were packaged so well that even next day they were super fresh and tasted like they just came out of the oven. I could not have been more pleased with the whole process. They are extremely gracious and even gave me a few to give to my seamstresses because I was going to pick up my dress after picking up the cupcakes. Perfect experience!

Awesome cupcakes. So much that I ordered 200 of them for my September 2013 wedding. And many of my guests agreed with me!

My favorite is the pistachio. I've never come across a pistachio cupcake and I hope I never do again, because SSS executes it perfectly. The other flavors are excellent as well (yellow cake with buttercream frosting, red velvet with chocolate or buttercream frosting, chocolate with peanut butter frosting, chocolate with chocolate frosting, something with strawberry frosting, etc.). The cupcakes aren't huge and don't have that too-perfect commercial look *ahem Crumbs*. They are still very cute and have a great cake-to-icing ratio. Sweet but not toothachingly-so.

VERY reasonably priced. (SSS, please don't take this as a cue to raise your prices!!) Very cute store - a place where you can just relax with your cupcake and coffee and read the paper.

For those ordering for weddings/parties: very easy to do so. All you need to do is place the order a few weeks in advance of your event date. If need be, SSS staff will sit down with you to go over flavors, frosting colors, cake wrapper colors, cupcake tree decor, and delivery with you. They have cupcake trees available for purchase or you can purchase your own and have them bring it to the venue (which is what I did). The process was easy and a pleasure.

My husband and I ordered the dessert for our wedding from Sugar Sweet Sunshine Bakery. We didn't want to do the traditional cake, cake cutting, etc experience, and just wanted to serve dessert like we would at the end of any formal meal. As my husband does love cake/cup cakes (while I do not), we decided to serve cupcakes. Based on many media/food website reviews and the recommendation of our wedding planner, we decided to order from Sugar Sweet Sunshine, even though we never tasted them in advance. (We live overseas and did not have the chance to test in advance.)

We were so happy with the end product! We order 4 types of cupcakes - chocolate cake with vanilla icing, yellow cake with chocolate icing, lemon cake with lemon icing and carrot cake with cream cheese icing. Our guests said that they were the best cupcakes they had ever tasted. My husband and I agreed. They were delicious!

The order was placed via telephone and email by our wedding planner a week or two before the wedding and delivered the day of via courier (small extra charge). The price was fair and equal to other suppliers. They even made two of the cupcakes with special decorations (a minion bride and groom) for myself and my husband. I highly recommend Sugar Sweet Sunshine for any occasion - or even for no occasion at all!
