Lauren at A White Cake is THE BEST. Not only is she a delightful person, but she also makes the most delicious wedding cakes you’ve ever tasted. Normally I find wedding cakes to be a bit dry and disappointing, so we almost didn’t get a cake, but at our tasting we changed our minds immediately – we didn’t even look elsewhere. Each of our tiers was a different flavor, all of which were delicious. We had a midnight chocolate cake with mixed berries and vanilla buttercream, a vanilla cake with hazelnut cream and chocolate, and a carrot cake top layer which we saved and recently ate on our first anniversary – even a year later it was still delicious! Lauren created the most beautiful blue ombre design with delicate orange and pink flowers trailing around the outside. It was stunning and a perfect fit with the overall colors and look of our wedding. We couldn’t have been happier with the outcome and would recommend Lauren to anyone.

As mother of the bride, my daughter had all of the contact with Lauren. She LOVED her and her cakes. The cake was actually Beautiful and so many of the guests said it was one of the best wedding cakes they had ever tasted! After all of the festivities were over, my husband and I actually had 2 pieces of cake in our room before we retired for the evening!! Thanks, Lauren!

Lauren was wonderful to work with. She is very professional every step of the way. The consultation was free and very enjoyable. She made my mother and I feel right at home. She created a beautiful picture of the cake that she would create. Also, she was very transparent, flexible and helpful throughout the whole process. Her cakes taste wonderful - even better on the actual day than at the initial tasting! And, as anyone can tell from her website - her cakes are beautiful - abosulutely perfect for a classy wedding!

Lauren is awesome, I would recommend her to everyone! Lauren sad down with us for a full tasting and while tasting her delicious cakes, we came up with a design. Not only did we love the design, the cake was amazing. Lauren made sure we had the top layer preserved at the end of the reception, I can't wait to open it and have a taste.

We showed Lauren pictures of cakes we liked. She was a pro and drew a design for us. Super helpful with tips and making our vision of the perfect wedding cake for us come to life. Fair pricing and prompt service. No problems with this vendor, would recommend.

Everything I dreamed of in a wedding cake. Period. I brought in my dream cake to Lauren and she matched it exactly (ivory buttercream with ivory buttercream decorations on each layer top layer adorned with gumpaste white roses). And I requested a special flavor cake (to taste like a raspberry petit four) and she added a layer of marzipan to the cake used for tasting, going out of her way for us to know what it would taste like. We also asked for her to make 2 matching groom's cakes, which were not your traditional requests for a wedding cake designer. She nailed them completely (cakes were espresso/hazelnut/praline/chocolate ganache flavored) with candied hazelnuts on top. EXACTLY what we asked for and tasted AMAZING. Moist, rich, favorful and the right balance and ratio of cake to icing/filling. Also, the artwork on the cake that Lauren created with just buttercream as amazing (which I consider the work of a true wedding cake artist, rather than just using fondant stencils and sticking it to the cake).

The meeting with Lauren and designing the cake with her was one of the most enjoyable, fun, and successful appointments of our entire wedding planning process. She is the ultimate professional, extremely artistic, talented, and competent with an equally great and fun personality. She was extremely helpful in narrowing down my many ideas based on the pictures and verbal descriptions I provided her. She was sketching as we were chatting, and by the end of the meeting she had sketched our dream wedding cake. Equally as amazing was the taste. Every flavor and filling was delicious, fresh, and perfectly compatible. I couldn't have been happier with the entire process from beginning to the end. The results were amazing and the cake was seriously gorgeous. 5+ stars. Can't wait to recommend her to friends and colleagues.

There is so much we could say about Lauren and her phenomenal cake design and tastes but I will try and keep it short. My husband and I met with Lauren and presented her with so many crazy cake ideas from Pinterest and she was able to take all the crazy and reduce it down to an amazing concept that we went back and forth on a few times until it was perfect. The flavors of the cake were incredible and the day of the wedding everyone wanted multiple pieces so that they did not miss out on any of the 3 separate tier flavors and fillings. Everyone shoudl want to work with Lauren and we would recommend her to anyone getting married in NYC.

It has always been my dream to have a chocolate wedding cake, and Lauren did NOT disappoint in any way!!!! Firstly, she was incredible to work with (from the initial tasting & then designing the cake) - what a pleasure! Secondly, the final cake design - absolutely beautiful!!!! Lauren worked with my florist to recreate some of the flowers from my centerpieces for my cake. I was so happy that we were able to use buttercream instead of fondant (which I hate), and the chocolate cake with chocoate filling couldn't have made me smile more!!!
