History
Stone Acres Farm has been supporting local agriculture and the surrounding community of Stonington for over 200 years. Originally a thriving dairy farm in 1765, Stone Acres Farm has been in operation since before the Revolutionary War and provided its wares to the surrounding community during the steamship and railroad boom in the area. The stunning Manor house on the property is a shining example of late federal period Victorian architecture and was built by Dr. Charles Phelps in 1765. The house and property have been passed down for generations and is now owned by a group of investors who can link their lineage back to that of Dr. Phelps.
