The moment we toured Pinecroft Estate, we fell in love. We booked the venue that same day because it just felt so right. We got married at Pinecroft Estate in July 2026, and it was everything I had ever dreamed of and more. The property is absolutely stunning—a whimsical, romantic barn with so many beautiful little touches that make the space feel incredibly special. One of the biggest highlights for us was being able to rent the house the night before the wedding. It made the entire wedding morning so much more relaxing to wake up and already be on-site. We also loved that there are separate bridal and groom suites, allowing both sides of the wedding party to get ready on the property without accidentally running into each other. It truly felt like the venue was designed with both the bride and groom in mind. Shelley and Jeff were absolutely wonderful to work with. They genuinely care about their couples and go above and beyond to make sure everything comes together perfectly. The entire planning process felt surprisingly seamless and stress-free, which is exactly what you want when planning a wedding! Another huge benefit of Pinecroft is that you have beautiful options regardless of the weather. If it rains, getting married inside the barn is just as beautiful and romantic as the outdoor ceremony space. We were a little nervous about the weather, especially the July heat, since the barn does not have air conditioning. Even with the warmer temperatures, however, it was completely manageable and did not take away from the experience at all. The location itself is so unique. The property offers beautiful views of the French River, and there are opportunities nearby for gorgeous golden-hour photos at Thompson Dam. Our wedding photos were filled with beautiful greenery, and the property provided the most stunning backdrop. And the food and drinks were incredible! There were SO many options, and everything we had was delicious. Everything about our wedding day at Pinecroft Estate was perfect and exactly what we envisioned. We truly could not have asked for a more beautiful, romantic, and special place to celebrate our wedding. We will forever be grateful to Shelley, Jeff, and the entire Pinecroft team for helping make our day so unforgettable. 🤍

Fair warning: this is a long and detailed review, but there is so much to say about our wonderful experience, and I hope it helps other engaged couples!

This venue is truly a hidden gem. We came all the way from New Hampshire because we couldn't find anything in our budget that offered both a forest ceremony location with that Twilight vibe (y’all know what I’m talking about) and a barn for the reception. This place had it all.

Not only was it within our budget, but SO MUCH was included. All of the linens, silverware, glassware, plates, and decorations were included in the rental fee—at no additional cost. They have lanterns, candles, card boxes, arbors, table numbers, centerpieces, and so much more. Unless you are looking for something very specific, they likely already have your decorations. There were some optional upcharges for specific styles of plates or glasses, but those were completely your choice. The only decorations we had to provide were our signage and personal items we specifically wanted. Even all of the chandeliers and gorgeous fairy lights were included!

Another huge perk of this venue is that they have their own catering and bar, so there is no need to search for and coordinate additional vendors. The food was AMAZING. You usually go to a wedding and expect the food to be mediocre, but this was the complete opposite. Everything was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. Our guests kept coming up to us throughout the night telling us how good the food was. I also have severe food allergies, and they were able to accommodate them and ensure my food was safe, with no risk of cross-contamination. Chef Dan, the head chef, told me that he has food allergies himself, which alone made me feel so much safer and more confident.

Shelley and Jeff, the owners, are the sweetest people. They were so welcoming when we first met them and were completely transparent about everything that was included and what our costs would be before we even booked the venue. There were no surprise or hidden costs that came up later during the planning process. What really stood out to us was how involved they were throughout the entire wedding. The day before, we dropped off all of our signs and personal decorations, and they set everything up for us. On the wedding day, Shelley and Jeff were there helping with setup, working alongside their staff, and even serving food—they were never just standing on the sidelines. At the end of the night, they packed everything up for us, and all we had to do was pick it up later. They even captured little moments throughout the day in both photos and videos and sent them to us after the wedding, which was such a sweet and unexpected touch.

The day-of wedding coordinator, Shauna, is AMAZING. Honestly, she was one of the biggest surprises—in the best possible way—of our entire wedding. She was included with the venue, but I truly did not expect her to do as much as she did. She went above and beyond. She took care of everything, kept us on schedule, and was always checking in on us throughout the entire day. What I appreciated most was that I never felt like I had to worry about what was happening behind the scenes. I was able to actually enjoy my wedding day because I knew Shauna was handling everything. She and the rest of the staff set up the venue exactly how I envisioned it—and somehow made it even better. My entire wedding party even kept talking about how awesome she was. I honestly cannot say enough good things about her. She exceeded every expectation we had, and I genuinely don't know how our wedding day would have gone as smoothly without her.

Bottom line: if you are looking for a forest/Twilight-vibe venue with a barn reception space, amazing food, an on-site bar, incredible staff, and SO much included in the rental fee, book this venue.

The greatest decision we made in planning our wedding was choosing Pinecroft Estate. We toured plenty of beautiful venues that didn't feel quite right. At Pinecroft, between the twinkling lights in the barn and the warmth of the welcome, we knew within minutes this was the place. Pinecroft is a true family operation, and Shelley and Jeff are real, kind people who care about making your day everything you dreamed of. That comes through in everyone who works with them, and it matters when there's so much at stake.

We lucked into a date from a cancellation, so our planning timeline was tight--about seven months. Shelley had us in motion right away and the major pieces were locked in within weeks. She connected us with vendors we ended up loving (shout out to Butch Gray, our DJ, and Shannon at Painted Gardens for the dreamy florals), which saved us from endless vendor interviews. Her design suggestions made the planning process so much easier than expected, and the decor that she has in stock is high quality and thoughtfully procured for the space-- having access to it really elevated the entire experience.

My husband and I work in hospitality and event planning, so we're particular about food, beverage, and guest experience. We warned Shelley of this, and she wasn't fazed, promising they'd get creative with us. They over delivered at every turn. The chef met every request, even individual pies in each of my husband's favorite flavors, and made a peppercorn sauce I'm still dreaming about. The meat was cooked perfectly and the presentation was clean. They accommodated our specific wine, liquor, and beer requests, and the staff, from parking attendants to bartenders, kept things running smoothly all day. Our guests, many of them restaurant people themselves, are still talking about how good the service was.

Jeff manages the beautiful grounds of the estate carefully and thoughtfully, and it shows--but--as Pinecroft's utility player, he is in the running for our MVP! When some equipment we brought with us wasn't working properly, he troubleshot the issue calmly and without breaking a sweat-- something that we are endlessly grateful for.

Alicia was an outstanding host, quick and calm and always nearby when we needed something. Shauna, was the perfect day-of coordinator, managing vendors and keeping a timeline that started behind schedule under control the whole day. When a rainstorm hit 15 minutes before our ceremony, she and the team let us wait it out instead of pushing us indoors, so we had the ceremony as planned, just a few minutes late. They got our guests somewhere dry, kept them informed, and made sure they had refreshments. Later, when we had to shift from dinner straight to dancing, the team cleared plates around our guests without missing a beat.

This isn't a cookie-cutter planning experience. There's no glossy package menu designed to upsell you at every turn. If you want to work with real people, put your money in a place you feel good about, and to create an honest, fun, and unique expression of your love, book your date at Pinecroft (and invite us so we can go back!).

Our wedding at pinecroft could not have been more perfect or seamless from start to finish. There was always clear communication between us and staff throughout the whole process and everyone was so happy to help and be a part of it. Shelley, Shawna and the rest of the staff are so professional and accommodating. The venue is absolutely stunning and the food is 10/10. Our wedding day was full of love, laughter and beauty. Pinecroft Estate will forever hold a special place in my heart.

In the long process of finding the perfect wedding venue, I stumbled upon a small town in a rural corner of Connecticut. A beautiful estate with a historic barn, sitting on a river. I couldn't have asked for anything more perfect.

Leaving the venue after our tour, my husband and I had all but decided that this was the venue we wanted to use. The barn was the perfect backdrop for the vintage wedding we so desperately wanted to plan. Shelley and Shauna worked tirelessly through the almost 18 months we were in contact leading up to the wedding.

Determined to make sure that every aspect of our wedding was going to be perfect, they made every resource available to us. Menu options that span for pages, we were able to fine tune and hand pick every single element of our dinner, and oh boy, our guests could not stop raving about how good the food was. Everything was moist, tender, and absolutely delicious.

Knowing that our wedding was going to be the last of the season, we wanted to try and do things that no one else was doing, and Shelley and Shauna were on board for every single crazy idea I had. Adding curtains, sectioning off part of the barn for a grand reveal, timed to music, bringing antique crystal and my own salt and pepper shakers. Nothing seemed to be beyond what they deemed to be anything less than necessary.

As stressful as planning a wedding already is, planning one from the opposite coast where you are forced to be more hands off was the absolute death of me, and yet when it came down to the day, every single minute detail went off without a single hitch. My husband and I cannot thank Shelley, Jeff, Shauna, and the entire team enough for making our wedding day truly the happiest day we have ever had.

Do yourself a favor and include Pinecroft Estate on your list of venues to check out. We are still in a cloud over the day we had there. The place is so charming, that barn could woo anyone. Absolutely had the best day of our lives. Shelley and Shauna are wonderful, just wonderful. They took great care of us and it was clearly obvious that this wasn't their first rodeo. They run Pinecroft like a well-oiled machine, which doesn't sound sexy, but you'll find is much appreciated when it comes to the whole day running smoothly. Food was top notch and every person who worked there was a consummate professional. Cannot speak highly enough about Pinecroft being a perfect place to have a wedding!!!

Pinecroft Estate is a beautiful venue, but I have to say their staff and team is even more impressive! Our wedding happened to be their first event during a major storm, and they handled it with grace, professionalism, and care. This was the best night of our lives, and our guests agreed it was a wedding for the books! I cannot say enough things about this venue and their people, but it is a venue that takes pride in their work, dedicates their time and efforts to their couples, and seems to genuinely enjoy doing what they do. As soon as we toured Pinecroft Estate and met with Shelley, my husband and I knew that we had found our venue. Shelley was wonderful in coordinating every last detail, from our decor, to our menu and weekend schedules, she had everything covered. We loved that they had so much decor inventory to choose from that made it easy to personalize our day. Our guests raved about the food, the ambiance, and how beautiful the entire day was. Our bridal party was in such good hands with our day of coordinator Shauna, everything ran smoothly and we were able to be fully present and enjoy our day knowing that they had everything under control.
