Steve Anthony and Persuasion is a wedding band based in Providence, Rhode Island. Frontman Steve Anthony has been interested in entertainment since high school and has been the frontman of Persuasion since 1992. Featured female vocalist Gabrielle Silva joined the group in 2011 and brought with her an energetic stage presence. This award-winning band specializes in providing music for wedding receptions.

Fantastic Dance Band, High Energy!

This band delivered amazing talent and energy at our wedding reception. Their playlist is filled with upbeat and familiar dancing favorites. Their professionalism and performance is on par with the best bands in and outside the area. They left our guests wanting more! We debated hiring a DJ instead of a band............ we would have made a big mistake! Steve Anthony and Persuasion were amazing! They were very professional and played great music that all our guests could dance to. Steve (the band leader) also served as emcee for the reception and did a great job! I was very happy with Steve from the beginning to the end-- we have absoloutely no regrets!

Steve Anthony and Persuasion was great! I am so happy we decided to go with a live band for our wedding; there is nothing that compares to it! Steve and the band played songs that got our guests moving and also took into account our requests. Everyone is still talking about how awesome the band was!

We absolutely LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this band. We checked out a LOT of local bands and not only were they our favorite but they were the most reasonably priced. Steve was extremely accessible and great to work with. People are STILL taking about what a great time they had and how amazing the band was. They also learned our first dance song which was a pretty obscure song and they did a fabulous job with it. We are now some of their newest groupies!

The best part of my wedding was having Steve Anthony & the Persuasion as our band. They were affordable, local, accessible and easy to work with. They had a great mix of old and new dance music, and our guests were dancing before the salad course was brought out, until the very end of the night. They are the reason everyone will remember my wedding as a great time, they got everyone on the dance floor and played all the right music! Hire Steve Anthony, he is the best!!!!

This band is by far the best band! They were fantastic! Steve was so easy to work with and made the process simple and fun! They looked like they were having fun along with us at our wedding which was great! They have 7 people in their band including a saxophone which was so cool! My husband and I did not stop dancing all night...in fact, the dance floor was packed when the catering served salads! One of our guests and friend had his sax with him and the band let him jam out with them! it was so amazing and so much fun! We danced the night away and had a blast with this band. The lead singer, Steve and the female artist were so good! Beautiful voice and so happy to be doing what they were doing. I love this band and will go see them when they perform around town. :)

Amazing live entertainment

Highly recommend this band for your wedding or special event! Steve is so charismatic and very talented as is his female vocalist. The entire band is talented. So glad we decided to book this band for our wedding instead of a dj. Our guests really enjoyed them and everyone danced until the very last song. They totally made our night. Thanks again Steve!
