We booked Pocket Change for our wedding in September. Everyone we talked to during the event and since the wedding have told us how much they LOVED the band.

Dave was very easy to coordinate with. He took our preferences and direction for the ceremony, cocktail hour and rest of the reception and made it seamless. Their set up looked great, they were all as nice as it gets, and their sound was fantastic. I would definitely recommend without hesitation.

We couldn’t be happier that we hired Pocket Change for our wedding! Our planner recommended them, and after seeing them play at a local bar, we knew they’d be the perfect fit. Leading up to the day, the band’s manager David, who was also their exceptional drummer, was great to work with—he made sure the flow of events was clear and everything went smoothly.

They nailed every part of the night: a guitar/sax duo during cocktail hour, soft piano and guitar for dinner, and then the full band bringing the energy for two straight hours of dancing. The setlist was tailored to our favorites, the vocals were incredible, and the dance floor stayed packed.

We were so very happy with Pocket Change! Truly, we cannot recommend them enough. From the beginning, the band was quick to respond and very professional. They helped us curate a list of songs to play during our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We were thrilled by their kindness, proactive communication, and care. The reception was beautiful, with the music setting a romantic tone. They helped to make our cocktail hour jazzy and spirited as well! And then for the reception - oh my goodness they had everyone up and dancing! I still, a few months afterward, have friends and relatives saying how wonderful it was to have a live band. And what we loved the most was how the band engaged our guests, making sure everyone was laughing and dancing and having a wonderful time. Our wedding reception was, without a doubt, an epic dance party thanks to Pocket Change. But their talents were on display well before the reception. Dave was a pleasure to work with and did a great job building a set list around our tastes, and editing based on our feedback. They learned a custom song for our entrance to the ceremony, and they did a top notch job sound mixing/mic volume-adjusting during the ceremony so everyone could hear well during a windy day. Cocktail hour was great with their tunes in the background. When it came to the dancing, they totally excelled. First off, they learned another custom song for our first dance, crushed the delivery, and even let me get up and do a little rapping on the mic. From then on, the dance floor was packed the entire night - no hype needed. And a big bonus - within a few days they had posted a really great video montage to Instagram. Everything about Pocket Change was a perfect addition to our wedding. Choosing our band was a major priority for us, as we know from experience they can make or break the reception. Pocket Change was everything we wanted, and more. From our first meeting with them, we felt comfortable and heard. They did a fantastic job of listening to our preferences and adapting that to what they were best at to deliver a great performance. They also did a great job of suggesting additions to our "must plays" that really went with the vibe we were looking for. Also, as a side note, the bride is a teacher, and we loved that Pocket Change is a band of music teachers!

In addition to being absolutely perfect as a wedding band, they were also extremely affordable! We worked with some amazing vendors all around, but Pocket Change is the first review we're writing, because we really wanted to thank them for what they did to make our day special. We had a miscommunication with our venue about who was in charge of ceremony audio, and Pocket Change was able to jump in last minute to provide audio for the ceremony. They also let one of the bride's best friends join them on stage to sing Dancing Queen, which was so special for the bride and groom. There was a small issue with the wireless microphone during speeches, and their technician was able to jump in and solve it immediately! They were great at going with the flow and making situations that could have been stressful not at all. In almost every conversation we have had with guests since our wedding, someone has brought up what a great band they were. Hire Pocket Change - you will not be disappointed!!!
