We couldn’t be happier that we hired Pocket Change for our wedding! Our planner recommended them, and after seeing them play at a local bar, we knew they’d be the perfect fit. Leading up to the day, the band’s manager David, who was also their exceptional drummer, was great to work with—he made sure the flow of events was clear and everything went smoothly.
They nailed every part of the night: a guitar/sax duo during cocktail hour, soft piano and guitar for dinner, and then the full band bringing the energy for two straight hours of dancing. The setlist was tailored to our favorites, the vocals were incredible, and the dance floor stayed packed.
Pocket Change’s talent, professionalism, and versatility made our wedding unforgettable. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a band that truly knows how to keep the party going! -

Pocket Change performed at our ceremony and they were so talented and super easy to work with. We requested 3 songs, including a very specific version of one of them, and they performed all 3 beautifully. Definitely recommend! -

Pocket Change is such a great band and would be perfect to hire for any event that needs live music. We hired them for our wedding and the entire group was so professional and easy to work with. They are true professionals and made all music related aspects of the wedding go smoothly. They are extremely talented and had everyone at our wedding dancing the entire night. Our guest were raving about them and we could not have been happier. Thank you Pocket Change!! -

We were so very happy with Pocket Change! Truly, we cannot recommend them enough. From the beginning, the band was quick to respond and very professional. They helped us curate a list of songs to play during our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We were thrilled by their kindness, proactive communication, and care. The reception was beautiful, with the music setting a romantic tone. They helped to make our cocktail hour jazzy and spirited as well! And then for the reception - oh my goodness they had everyone up and dancing! I still, a few months afterward, have friends and relatives saying how wonderful it was to have a live band. And what we loved the most was how the band engaged our guests, making sure everyone was laughing and dancing and having a wonderful time. David and the entire band were excellent - I highly, highly recommend them! -

Pocket Changed performed at our wedding back in Oct. 2023. They were a blast, had everyone dancing from beginning to the end. Dave was so pleasant to work with throughout the whole process. I would absolutely recommend them for anyone getting married! -

Great Party & Great Planning
Our wedding reception was, without a doubt, an epic dance party thanks to Pocket Change. But their talents were on display well before the reception. Dave was a pleasure to work with and did a great job building a set list around our tastes, and editing based on our feedback. They learned a custom song for our entrance to the ceremony, and they did a top notch job sound mixing/mic volume-adjusting during the ceremony so everyone could hear well during a windy day. Cocktail hour was great with their tunes in the background. When it came to the dancing, they totally excelled. First off, they learned another custom song for our first dance, crushed the delivery, and even let me get up and do a little rapping on the mic. From then on, the dance floor was packed the entire night - no hype needed. And a big bonus - within a few days they had posted a really great video montage to Instagram. Everything about Pocket Change was a perfect addition to our wedding. Choosing our band was a major priority for us, as we know from experience they can make or break the reception. Pocket Change was everything we wanted, and more. From our first meeting with them, we felt comfortable and heard. They did a fantastic job of listening to our preferences and adapting that to what they were best at to deliver a great performance. They also did a great job of suggesting additions to our "must plays" that really went with the vibe we were looking for. Also, as a side note, the bride is a teacher, and we loved that Pocket Change is a band of music teachers!
In addition to being absolutely perfect as a wedding band, they were also extremely affordable! We worked with some amazing vendors all around, but Pocket Change is the first review we're writing, because we really wanted to thank them for what they did to make our day special. We had a miscommunication with our venue about who was in charge of ceremony audio, and Pocket Change was able to jump in last minute to provide audio for the ceremony. They also let one of the bride's best friends join them on stage to sing Dancing Queen, which was so special for the bride and groom. There was a small issue with the wireless microphone during speeches, and their technician was able to jump in and solve it immediately! They were great at going with the flow and making situations that could have been stressful not at all. In almost every conversation we have had with guests since our wedding, someone has brought up what a great band they were. Hire Pocket Change - you will not be disappointed!!! -

Pocket Change was the perfect pick for my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary party, and I'd highly recommend them for any wedding or big event requiring a band! Dave, the primary contact, is incredible and did a great job emceeing the event, speaking gracefully, carefully keeping the time to keep things on track, and accommodating just the vibe we hoped for with the music. Dave and band provide the perfect balance of professionalism and fun. Whether you're looking for light jazz or an all out dance party, Pocket Change is the BEST! Don't hesitate, definitely book them. What an amazing band! We had such a blast at the wedding and cannot thank the band enough for all their energy and their amazing performance. Dave was a pleasure to work and communicate with. I planned my own wedding and Dave was great about getting back to me, but also understanding when it took me longer to reply. We booked them pretty far in advance and the band learned a few songs for us. One of these songs included Unforgettable by Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole. The band learned the song in the correct key so that my father and I could sing it together during our dance! We put a lot of personal touches into our wedding and I loved that Narragansett Soul rolled with it! It really made the night even more special. Highly recommended! -

Highly recommended !
These guys are great! We first heard them at our friends wedding and immediately knew we needed to have them. I must have taken them through three or four song changes before deciding on our dances. Not only did they provide suggestions and feedback to all the questions I had, but they were enthusiastic and flexible the entire way through. They played extra songs at our wedding and had ppl lighting up the dance floor. Guests could not believe the sound that comes out of the lead singer’s voice! I would absolutely recommend working with these guys. You will not be disappointed! -

Narragansett Soul was easy to work with and reasonably priced. Most importantly, they did a fantastic job creating a wedding experience that our guests will never forget. They were upbeat, fun, and sounded great! -
