Stephanie was awesome to work with and such a wonderful part of our wedding! We really appreciated her flexibility, her attention to detail, and how intentional she was about capturing the specific moments we wanted. She took the lead and directed us in certain poses or fixed strands of hair out of place. We felt so supported throughout the day and our pictures came out GORGEOUS! We took some edgy, non-traditional photos and they looked like they could be in a magazine. I got so many compliments from friends and family. My husband and I got married June 2025. We had a wonderful experience with Stephanie Fong. We hate how we look in photos but we love the photos of our day, including with our family and friends. They were very flexible, kept a good schedule, and capture many moments throughout the day, instead of a specific time. I'm very happy and I strongly recommend them.

I was one lucky bride to have Stephanie play such a big part in our special day. Stephaine was amazing to work with from beginning to end. The pictures that I've seen so far looked exactly as I had envisioned them and beyond, and my husband & I can relive the day through the beautiful pictures.

Stephanie was the 2nd photographer assisting at my sister's wedding years ago and once we saw her pictures, I knew I wanted to have her as my photographer when I got married. Fast forward 7 years later, a 2 year engagement I reached out to book her asap!

She made me as a bride feel completely at ease throughout the day. She was so kind to everyone and was still able to be assertive enough to get our large families to cooperate to get the shots she needed. Her images truly captured the emotion of our day and we love that!

Stephanie was our photographer in August 2023 at Birch and she was amazing in so many ways. She was professional, efficient, flexible, and patient amongst many other things. We booked her 9 months before the wedding and couldn't decide what kind of package we wanted so we actually didn't even decide until about a month before the wedding (like I said, she is VERY patient). She offered a lot of different options for packages for us and we ended up going with a custom package that she was kind enough to put together for us. Working with her was such a breeze leading up to the event + the day-of the event + the following weeks after :)

On the day-of the event, she showed up early and was completely prepared for all the curve balls ahead of us. The hotel we booked ended up being way dimmer than expected but she totally ran with it and got creative to ensure we got some wonderfully lit getting ready shots. She knew we were pretty short on time for the wedding party photos, so she found some great options nearby at a Eucalyptus Grove and over the water as well. The pictures turned out to be absolutely gorgeous and I am SO happy we went with her. She was incredibly patient while we wrangled up family members for photos...even when we had to try wrangling up my 90-person family photo. She handled everything like a complete champ and did not sweat anything. We even ended up having a medical emergency that pushed things back so there wasn't enough time for friend photos that we wanted but she was so kind and offered to stay to get the photos we wanted before she left. She ended up staying an extra hour and was so understanding. We are extremely grateful for her.

It usually takes photographers a few months to provide photos because it takes so much time to edit but she sent us some of our favorites within a week of the wedding and we were so surprised. We love her style and are so happy with the sneak peek she sent us.

She's so talented and easy to work with. We got along so well from the get-go. You won't regret choosing her as your photographer.

First, we want to start off by apologizing and saying that this review is long overdue! Stephanie is an absolute gem!!!

We got married this past June and cannot express how fortuitous it felt to have Stephanie as our photographer. My husband and I are both educators so planning our wedding during the school year was challenging in and of itself… BUT somehow in our search for a photographer- we got lucky and one of my student’s parents recommended Stephanie to us because she had been their wedding photographer. As it was, this felt so special because of the personal connection, but then also seeing Stephanie’s work on social media, we reached out to her without hesitation. Then, the great communication we had with Stephanie that moment onward really just sealed the deal because she is just so friendly, genuine, and responsive.

Luckily, we secured our wedding date with Stephanie, but then she didn’t even sweat it when we asked for a last minute engagement session literally the week before! We didn’t know the first thing about professional photo shoots, and truthfully, neither myself nor my husband even went to our high school proms haha, so we were actually really nervous before getting our pictures taken. But Stephanie was so patient with us and helped guide us throughout so that before we knew it we were just so comfortable, enjoying the moments, and had so much more fun than we could have expected. And she really went all out and was flexible with us when I (again, last minute) requested a second location for our engagement session. And thenwithin a few days, she’d already sent us sneak peeks to enjoy so that we could include them in our video montage for the wedding too!

As if our engagement sesh wasn’t perfect enough- Stephanie truly made our wedding day even more special. Our event was mainly family organized, and without even batting an eye, she just stepped up and really helped make sure the evening went smoothly to capture all that we envisioned and had shared with her. Looking back at the photos now, there were so many precious moments of our friends and families that we had missed, but that Stephanie had captured and we are so grateful for.

This review is getting long, but honestly we can’t speak more highly of her. Stephanie is not only immensely talented, but she is thoughtful and kind, and we feel so blessed to have had the honor of her being the photographer for both our engagement session and wedding day! The memories we have been able to look back on are priceless to us and we couldn’t imagine having had anyone else but Stephanie share that time and space with us. For any future special life events, I know we will always go back to Stephanie and hopefully we will be so lucky again to have her!

I can't describe enough how much Steph was an absolute pleasure to work with! I asked her to shoot my surprise proposal and engagement party and she really went above and beyond from walking the venue with me a few weeks prior, to helping my decorations team by recommending where the lighting would be best for their setup, and culminating in how attentive she was the day of and making sure that she was able to capture every important moment.

It's rare to come across someone who makes you feel that your event is as special to them as it is to you but everything Steph did helped me feel exactly that and I cannot thank her enough for putting in the time and effort! The final edited photos came out incredible and I would highly recommend reaching out to Steph if you have a special event that you would want to look back on with fond memories via an album full of amazing photos.

Stephanie has been so amazing to work with from the very first email! She is fast at replying and worked with us in every part of the decision-making process from location choices to outfit ideas! Since this year has been so crazy, we had a last minute couples turned engagement photoshoot and we LOVE our photos.

During this crazy time, Stephanie made sure we were comfortable and safe during our photo session, wore a mask, and also were able to keep us distant to others when in public places (ie Balboa park). She did an amazing job at getting the right angles and lighting. She was able to make both of us laugh, feel relaxed, and even took the time to fix hair flyaways when it gets too windy. If you want someone that is super detailed, professional, flexible, loves to capture candid, natural smiles, and overall fantastic to work with - she is your girl! From all the laughter to becoming fast friends, I would recommend Stephanie to anyone I know. Her cost is very affordable and very worth the investment for a snapshot of your best memories. We both still can't get over how beautiful the pictures are and how happy we were to work with Stephanie!
