The central coast is synonymous with tri-tip, and Stein's does it better than most. They are no one-trick pony though. Everything on the menu at our wedding got high praise from our guests. The apps were amazing. The chicken and tri-tip were to die for. The mac-n-cheese was a truly transcendent experience. This was cook out food elevated to the fanciest of feels. Hats off to Chef Brian and his team.

Along the way, Nancy worked tirelessly to help get our menu right, communicated regularly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we wanted and keep it within budget. She was everything a great wedding vendor should be.

Steins Catering is a 10/10 recommendation. Our guests have not stopped talking about the food. The food was piping hot when it was served. The quality of the food for 170 people was just as good as it was when we did our tasting for 2. The service was outstanding and their staff was so professional. Nancy and Brian are the sweetest people and made our catering experience such a breeze. They know how to make the customer experience one you'll remember.

Steins Catering was nothing short of amazing as they supported our wedding celebration! Our filet mignon, salmon, bacon wrapped dates, caprese skewers and Nancy’s special salad were absolutely delicious (our guests raved) and their communication up to the event was outstanding. (No surprise as the owner is a CIA trained chef.)

They hire hard-working, professional staff. They are all passionate about their craft and they are consummate professionals. Obviously, We could not recommend them more highly!

Our guests are still raving about the amazing food from our wedding a few weeks ago. Everything was delicious and piping hot when it was served! The tri tip and apricot glazed chicken were such perfect choices for our day. Nancy was so accommodating from the very first time we met at our tasting, and we are so happy we chose Stein’s! I definitely recommend their amazing food to anyone looking for a caterer. We were so sad that we had to give away our left overs before we left for our honeymoon!

What an honor, joy, and privilege it was to have Stein’s cater our wedding!! Nancy and her family are the kindest, most wonderful, down-to-earth people, and took such wonderful care of us throughout the entire planning process. We are a COVID couple, and had to completely move our entire wedding from May 2020 to May 2021 with little lead time. Stein’s was PHENOMENAL throughout the entire process, constantly reassuring us that they were on our team and would be with us through thick and thin. Our guests RAVED about the food and service, and we feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with them. They even accommodated some very particular dietary restrictions with ease, patience, and grace. Cannot recommend this company enough!!

I can’t say enough great things about Steins BBQ! They are the nicest family and have been so very helpful with every aspect for our wedding! From the very beginning, responsive, kind, helpful and of course their new restaurant downtown Paso was awesome to do our tasting at! You will be very happy you chose them!

From planning to execution on our wedding day, we hit the jackpot when we hired Stein’s BBQ. Nancy and Brian were a pleasure to work with. Nancy helped me tremendously with the planning and that is something I didn’t expect. The food was amazing and their team provided awesome service throughout the entire reception. We didn’t have to think about anything during the reception because they took care of it all. Their dedication to providing you (bride and groom) and ALL your guests with a wonderful experience can’t be beat.

We used Steins for our daughters rehearsal dinner at Dancing Deer Farm on July 6th. They were great to deal with, even gave us warmers that we returned the next day. Food was all packaged for us and all utensils, plates etc, were included. The food was fantastic, the cornbread and honey butter was a huge hit too! Great value and highly recommend

We absolutely loved the wedding catering experience we had with Steins and couldn't of asked for anything more. A lot of our guests know us as foodies and BBQ lovers, so thankully we didnt have to sacrifice food quality. Everyone is still raving about the food. Nancy was very genuine and responsive leading up to the big day and worked with us to pick the perfect meal within our budget. Chef Brian is the man - he loves what he does and he does it right! All of the BBQ fanatics were hovering around the oak pit drinking beer as he was grilling up the tri-tip. If you want, they offer their signature seasoning as wedding favors and they were a huge hit. There are many great catering options on the Central Coast, and with Steins you not only do you get a professional catering service serving up some of the best food the area has to offer, but you get Brian and Nancy who are such a pleasure to work with!
