MAK of Steel was awesome! He played for my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. He was very flexible to play the songs I wanted. He even gave my insight about the bridal processional and the timing, so the guests could enjoy the song. He was open to learning a couple new songs that I really wanted. He was great at communication and prompt to answering any questions I had! As the bride, I can't wait to see my video to actually be able to enjoy the Steel Drum music. My mom had a ball dancing to his music!!! I would highly recommend!!

I booked MAK several months prior to my wedding to play for 1.5 hrs to include my ceremony on the beach as well as my cocktail hr in the same location. We had a specific contracted time from 4:30-6pm regardless or what time my actual ceremony started! My entire plan was foiled on my wedding day. I wanted island music playing when my guests' arrived and while waiting for the ceremony to start. I guess you have to be extremely specific about this, as if its not common to greet your guests with music! I had a musician set up with NO music playing, just standing there waiting, until the bridal party arrived and the ceremony started. Almost a half hour of contracted play time gone. We also agreed to not move his drums to the sand, because having to move them back to the deck of the cocktail hour would be another 15-20 min of my contracted time gone in order to move the equipment. Well guess what, he was set up on the beach and I lost another 15 min of play time. I believe he played for a total of 15-20 min. The last 15 min was lost to weather, but 20 min max play time for 1.5 hrs of paid contracted music! I am completely depressed with this situation, as it was going to be the highlight of the wedding. I guess every single minute must be detailed and outlined for a performer that supposedly does this often. Nice guy, but terrible service!
