We booked Rob for our wedding at Dove Ridge on 10/15/2022.
From the moment we got on the initial Zoom call with Rob, we knew that he was the photographer for us! We truly loved every moment that we spent with Rob. From day one, we could see his expertise shine through each conversation. He has shot so many weddings at Dove Ridge, that we knew off the bat he would know where to go and what to do. While we didn't need more engagement photos by the time that we booked with Rob, we still did the shoot with him to get to know him in person. It helped so much with the day of! I was able to text Rob any time that I had a question and he was incredibly responsive. He worked directly with our month of coordinator to put together the best day of schedule that got us all the photos that we wanted to capture. The day of, he was even more incredible if that was possible! He was able to corral both of our crazy families to make family photos painless. He created the most amazing moment for my first look with my dad. Rob is so encouraging and happy that our entire family and bridal party felt comfortable with him right off the bat, just like we did. He included so many small, thoughtful details throughout the time that he was contracted. My husband and I could write a whole essay of things about Rob but the biggest piece is BOOK HIM RIGHT NOW.

When it comes to weddings, you make a lot of investments for your big day. It is not common necessarily for you to feel that your vendors invest in you. That is how I felt about working with Rob and his team at Square 8. Rob and his team were so invested in our love story and capturing every single part of our wedding and were there every step of the way. We booked Square 8 for the photography and videography for our wedding almost 2 years in advance, so we truly felt like we got to know each other during that time. From frequent check-in’s, buying supplies for my special ed classroom, or sending us a Starbucks card when I had the worst day, Rob was always there for us and took the time to be personable and supportive! Rob went BEYOND the duties of a photographer to build a relationship with us and make our wedding planning go smoothly.
Then bring on the COVID…A few months before our wedding coronavirus threw a wrench in everything, but Square 8 was always there to check in, keep us updated on mandates and regulations for the wedding industry, and even sent us a Homechef giftcard since we were quarantined together, like WHAT?! They went above and beyond to make us feel heard and encouraged during what was an incredibly difficult time for us.
The same was true on our actual wedding day. Rob and his team had incredible knowledge and experience at our venue and blew us away with our pictures. They knew exactly which shots we wanted and knew all the right places, so photos were efficient, but beautiful and detailed! They were able to facilitate and be flexible with our wedding day timeline, and truly helped keep everything running smoothly. Rob took the time to get to know our DJ and did an AMAZING job coordinating all the reception details with him. The video team and extra shooters did an incredible job and were wonderful to work with. The whole Square 8 team made our vision come to life and made our wedding just perfect. From our video to our photos, everything was better than we could have asked. I ended up sharing over 400 pictures on Facebook because I seriously could not pick favorites, I loved them all!
I do not know that my words even do Square 8 justice, but we are so glad we chose them to be a part of our love story and our wedding day. From start to finish, they took care of us and were wonderful to work with. We will be a part of the Square 8 family for years to come!

Rob and his team go above and beyond for their brides. I don’t even know where to begin. So intentional and personal and professional in everything they do. In the age of instagram worthy pictures, Rob ensures you have both quality photos for now and forever. I have heard horror stories of photographers not being super organized or responsive due to over booking themselves or being more creative and less professional but Rob and his team know how to take all the stress away. He knows all the best practices and I would trust him with any event I needed photography for. We had some hiccups along the way with our engagement photo session (didn’t realize the venue took at required prior approval) and the coronavirus took the spotlight the week of my wedding making me nervous about Rob traveling to Atlanta. Y’all, he didn’t miss a beat. Not one. I could go on and on but ultimately if you want a photography team that takes the stress out of it and genuinely makes you feel (and look on camera) like $1,000,000, pick Square 8 Studio.
