I can’t begin to thank Spotlight and their staff for all of their hard work with our wedding. We began our wedding planning, a year out. My husband and I really wanted a special party, where everyone could have fun. As all ages were attending, we wanted to make sure whomever we chose to provider entertainment would ready for the task. After interviewing too many entertainment companies, we found Spotlight-La. From the very beginning, the office staff made planning our big day easy and painless; Jon and Andrew were always available and helpful for suggestions and logistics.
Meeting and working with Mike, our Emcee as amazing. He walked us through our day from the very beginning to the very end. We knew Spotlight would be our company when Mike told us that things happen at weddings- they always do. But what makes a great party is never knowing about it. He said that was his job to make everything work, it was his job to stress.
The day of was amazing. The spotlight staff arrived extra early to setup and make sure everything was perfect. Mike checked in and reassured us everything would be flawless for our big day, IT WAS! We couldn’t have been happier. Jon played great music and was really creative in setting the mood during our event. Mike, to his word, walked us through all of our formalities. Before our toasts, he made sure we had our toasting flutes, set us up for pictures, and held our hand the whole time- he even got us drinks.
It isn’t until we got back from our honeymoon that we really realized how amazing our event was. Jon, Andrew and Mike are more than just entertainers we hired, they are part of our family. We couldn’t be more appreciative to the staff of Spotlight-La. Thank you so much for everything you did to make our wedding night perfect!

My husband and I got married back in November 2014 at the Oviatt Penthouse. We interviewed a TON of DJs. After we chatted with Joel, we knew we found the one! He is so easy to talk to, down to earth, extremely knowledgeable and definitely a pro in the industry. He walked us through the timeline and even brought up some points we never would have thought about!

Joel and his team came in early to setup the lighting and to test the equipment. They met with all of the other vendors to ensure everyone knew the timeline/schedule. They even had time to check in with us, which was really nice.

The lighting looked phenomenal!!! Joel MC'd and co-DJ'd our wedding along with another DJ, Mike. We couldn't have asked for a better team! Joel was on point with the grand entrance, introductions, and announcements. I can't believe he correctly pronounced all of the difficult names! Best of all, he kept us on schedule - and we packed a lot of in! Both Mike and Joel were great at reading the crowd and knew what to play to keep our guests on the dancefloor! We had such an epic dance party, it was awesome and soooo much fun!

...And on to the BEST part and my favorite memory of the night (with the exception of saying "I do", of course). The night was nearing an end and all of the guests were making their way out. The music was off and the event staff were clearing tables and cleaning up. It just so happened that my husband and I were outside chatting next to the dance floor. From out of nowhere, our first dance song started playing! We were so surprised and the timing couldn't have been more beautiful. We danced to our song, one more final time. Just the two of us, under the stars with no one else around. I can honestly say that I will never forget that moment. It was so magical and the absolutely best way to end the evening. It never would have happened if Joel didn't go the extra mile and create that moment for us. We are so grateful for him!

We had a fantastic experience with Spotlight LA for our wedding reception. We used them for DJ services in addition to our photo booth and both were fantastic. We had a little bit of back and forth to iron out logistics, but ultimately everything went off without any issues. Our guests continually told us they thought the music was fantastic which can be attributed to SpotlightLA's willingness to work with our requests. We would definitely work with them again!
