Spark Entertainment Group is a boutique entertainment collective founded by the award winning, well reviewed and highly recommended DJ D. Jones. From our DJs, live musicians to our warehouse A/V team, we all share the same belief that your event can be better.
We specialize in planning and playing some of the best weddings, corporate events and upscale private parties for discerning clients.
Our clients are unique with an appreciation for a boutique bespoke entertainment experience that is custom tailored to their vibe.
Rather you are working with us to create a DJ/Hybrid band, planning a custom DJ set with our world class DJs or creating an intimate dinner set with our live musicians, we are here to create an entertainment experience designed around you.
Experience
Owner DJ D. Jones selectively began playing at weddings in 2013 and lauched the Spark Entertainment Group in 2019 after his demand contiued to grow beyond his availability.
He's done VIP parties for Madonna, Maroon 5, Marc Anthony, One Direction, Matt Forte of the Chicago Bears, and Hall of Fame NHL hockey legend Chris Chelios. He has been named one of the top 10 wedding DJs in Chicago by Expertise.com for seven years running and is a six-time WeddingWire’s Couples’ Choice Award winner.
His elite team of career DJs have all been hand-picked and trained by DJ D. Jones.

Booking Spark Entertainment was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we would make it again without a second thought. From the very first planning conversation to the final song of the night, the entire team delivered in every possible way.
DJ D Jones was an invaluable partner during the planning process. He helped us work through timeline details and gave us thoughtful, honest feedback on our song selections — not just validating our choices, but actually helping us build a playlist tailored to our specific guests. He understood what we were going for and helped us get there strategically.
On the day itself, DJ Johnny was everything we could have asked for in an MC. He was polished, professional, and kept the energy exactly where it needed to be all evening. When last-minute changes came up — as they always do at weddings — he handled them without missing a beat. No stress, no disruption, just seamless execution.
Most importantly, DJ Johnny read the dancefloor with remarkable instinct. He knew exactly when to shift the energy, when to lean in, and how to keep people moving. Outstanding DJ - Seamless from Start to Finish
We had a fantastic experience with Spark Entertainment and couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. From start to finish, they were professional, organized, and easy to work with. The music was spot-on throughout the entire event, the flow of the evening was smooth, and everything ran exactly as planned.
They did a great job reading the room and keeping the energy up on the dance floor while also handling announcements and transitions seamlessly. We received multiple compliments from guests on the music and overall vibe of the reception.
Highly recommend Spark Entertainment to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality wedding DJ who truly delivers. Everything went perfectly!

Amazing, talented, attentive DJ and musicians!
DJ D. Jones and Spark Entertainment Group were INCREDIBLE in so many ways. The DJ/emcee plays a HUGE role on wedding day and we feel so lucky that they were so wonderful. We are a month out and still getting compliments from our guests about how good the DJ was.
We heard about DJ D. Jones and Spark Entertainment Group from our planners, who had worked with them many times before. When we reached out to a few groups, Spark Entertainment Group stood out immediately -- the slides were thoughtfully made and transparent, and it was clear they would work to make your event the best. I could go on and on, but here are the best parts of the experience:
1) DJ D. Jones is an AMAZING DJ. He met with us several times to understand exactly what we wanted, and he executed it perfectly. I would consider him more of an artist/musician, because he was actively remixing each song and transitioned each song into the next song so seamlessly. He is very attentive to how the crowd reacts to each song. The whole night, he played the perfect song at the perfect time [per our list], and he plays the best part of each song too. We got so many compliments about how he was actively remixing each song as he played them too. He clearly does a lot of preparation to understand your recommended songs so he can create the perfect dance floor experience.
2) We also added the electric violin for our ceremony and cocktail hour and the saxaphone for the dance floor. They were so talented, skilled, and professional. I'd highly recommend any of the musicians.
3) We also rented the photobooth and it was amazing! Everything ran smoothly, they finalized the template with us in advance, and the photos are really high quality. Our guests loved it.
4) Administratively, they are VERY responsive and extremely receptive to any requests or feedback you have. DJ D. Jones also did a great job of asking about the space in order to make sure he brings all the necessary equipment. We really appreciated the lapel mic and hand held mic that our officiant used.
We have endless gratitude for DJ D. Jones/Spark Entertainment group because they truly played a huge role in making our wedding amazing.

If you are looking for a wedding DJ, look no further!!! We booked DJ D Jones for our wedding at Walden and he was nothing shy of AMAZING. We are so beyond grateful that we decided to book DJ D Jones, he is truly worth ALL the hype. Go DJ that's our DJ!!! We were so impressed with how he has such an art to get the crowd/guests pumped up for the night and kept the dance floor so LIT. I had so many guests tell me after the wedding day that our DJ was amazing and he made the dance floor so fun. Wouldn't have a been a party without you, DJ D Jones!
From the moment that we "met" with Spark entertainment on zoom, we knew that they would take great care of us and help to make our wedding day dream come to life. They made us feel so comfortable and heard and really wanted to make it such a fun and exciting process and quickly made us feel like we were in great hands. Best decision, best entertainment group
We had an incredible experience with Spark Entertainment Group for our wedding. Everyone was dancing the whole night thanks to DJ Pharaoh, and the entire process of wedding planning with the team was the most professional, smooth, and seamless experience we had throughout the wedding process.
From the very start of our wedding planning, Duerell gave wonderful advice about all things related to the guest experience, and was extremely responsive for all of our questions big and small. They run like a well-oiled machine - tracking meeting notes, systems in place for making sure every detail for the wedding day is very well-covered by the time the day gets close. 11/10 experience and 11/10 music. Couldn't recommend enough.
