We hired DJ Spex for our wedding reception and we could not have made a better decision. Our wedding was weeks ago and my wife and I are still receiving compliments from our guests on the music - it was easily one of the best parts about our entire wedding weekend.

My wife and I are quite particular about music, and it was one of the most important priorities for our wedding reception. We have been to countless weddings with cookie cutter DJs, and we had a very specific vision in mind when looking for our own. Luckily we found DJ Spex while he was performing a New Year's set at our local bar, and lucky for us he agreed to do our wedding.

Throughout the planning process he was incredibly accommodating and professional, catering to our every request no matter how specific. He made sure we were all on the same page, taking time to do multiple consult calls with us leading up to the big day to ensure he delivered exactly what we were looking for. On the day of our reception he was prepared, arriving early to set up, and delivered a killer DJ set that matched the vibe we were looking for perfectly. The energy was immaculate and guests of all ages were dancing the entire night. I would highly encourage you to catch one of his local sets and see for yourself if you're interested in booking him for your wedding.

I could not imagine my wedding night without Spex! He absolutely crushed the playlist and mashups and played every single one of the songs that I requested! He was energetic, vibing with the crowd and stayed longer than he was scheduled too just because the dance floor was too hot!! I couldn't recommend him enough!!!!!!!

I cannot say enough amazing things about DJ Spex but I’ll start by saying that our wedding would not have been as amazing as it was without him. From the beginning of our conversations through our wedding day, he was professional, supportive, and on top of everything, including things we didn’t even think of. Our wedding was on my in laws’ farm and included sound set ups in multiple places throughout the afternoon/evening - Not only did DJ Spex ask all of the right questions to understand the lay out and schedule but he also took the time to come out before the day to get a better understanding of everything which was so appreciated. He kicked off our dinner with introductions flawlessly and proceeded to provide great music throughout our meal as well. As for the reception, our guests could not get enough of DJ Spex (and neither could my husband or I)! He not only played our requested songs but also provided fantastic songs in between and the whole night I thought “why didn’t I think to put this on our list!?”. So many of our guests came up to me asking for his information and where he plays because they thought he was so good and I couldn’t agree more. Booking DJ Spex was definitely one of our best decisions for our big day and I simply cannot recommend him enough for ANY event

DJ Spex was absolutely phenomenal. From start to finish, he was professional, reliable, and incredibly easy to work with. He came fully prepared with all of his own equipment and delivered a flawless setup. Most importantly, he kept the dance floor packed all night. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without him. DJ Spex was AMAZING! He flew from Chicago to North Carolina for our wedding and completely exceeded our expectations. He was professional, easy to work with, and absolutely crushed it on the big day. From the ceremony to a nonstop, packed dance floor, the music was on point and the energy never dropped!

The entire process was so smooth and simple. We met twice before the wedding to discuss the flow of the day, what songs we were thinking of playing and when, and to just get organized on the logistics. This made the actual wedding day so easy, and it was perfect. Everything we discussed and asked for happened, even better than anticipated. Spex was thoughtful, professional, cared a lot about making this special for us, and he was independent in that we didn’t have to help him logistically at the venue. He was proactive in making sure he could get set up, meet with the venue ahead of time, fill out all necessary paperwork/insurance. Now, the best part, and this was CRITICAL for us: Spex didn’t play any song too long, and in fact, he caught the best parts of our favorite songs. This kept the dance floor ACTIVE, and fun. I can’t stand when a wedding DJ just stands up there and has a playlist running. Spex was a true DJ, mixing songs in a fun, customized (yes I did have ideas on which songs to mix), and unique way. It was seriously so much fun. Every wedding I’ve been to since makes me notice the DJs style. I’ve yet to experience the music like we had. Nobody wants to listen to the chorus 5 times through! But Spex is a professional DJ, and he is very skilled at keeping the crowd engaged and energetic. All the equipment worked perfectly, no hiccups, the mics, everything. Having Spex there was absolutely a highlight of our entire wedding. We are incredibly thankful to have worked with Spex. I can’t forget that he is also just a great human, a great friend, and a very personable, relational guy. He’s a true joy to be around. 10/10 recommend him for any wedding of any size, especially if you want to have the most amazing, personal, energetic, and authentic wedding. I know we did!
