SoundWaves Event Group

We booked SoundWaves Event Group for our September 2026 1920's Old Hollywood themed-wedding, and this group did NOT disappoint! We utilized their services for reception and photobooth (but they offer so much more!). Our DJ was Trevin, and he was fantastic! From his very audible/clear "mc" announcements to his organization skills and musical fluidity, Trevin is THE MAN. Our dance floor was never empty! He also made sure things went as scheduled and quickly adapted if a certain portion of the reception, i.e. special dances ran over on time and always checked in with us to make sure we knew what was going on. My only minor item is that our dinner music felt a TAD too loud (also could have been where our sweetheart table was in relation to booth so may have just been me). Our music for dinner service was a combined effort of songs I researched on YouTube for 1920's and songs from their "library". Trevin was super accommodating to this very specific request for 1920's music and branching out from the typical dinner service music. In terms of the photobooth, we sadly only made it to take a photo at the very end of the reception just about, but our guests LOVED it. It was mostly for them after all, so that is what matters! Plenty of props and greatly appreciated having a person on site to assist with the booth and ensure all went smooth / no technical issues.

The Group / company as a whole is truly a pleasure to work with. All very nice and personable. To book, we scheduled a phone call to connect and see if they were the best fit for our needs and budget, of course they were! Offerings and pricing were very transparent and clear-cut; no surprises, which we appreciated. From there, we immediately got set up on a very easy to use online portal, which is where you make payments, select songs (special dances, dedications, must plays, etc), and complete your wedding timeline and photo strip design (if applicable). Communication from the time of booking to the day of was prompt and to-the-point, no fluffy / unnecessary or inundating touchpoints or nagging upsells, just the essentials of what you needed to know / do and when. We couldn't have asked for a better company to fuel the party on our big day!

The mirror Photo Booth was an absolute hit at our wedding! They were so responsive, and the website made it so easy to customize everything we wanted. Payment reminders were also helpful, with all of the other things to keep up with during a wedding. They made sure to call before the wedding as well to confirm all details. I didn’t have one worry about them setting up! Would highly recommend to anyone!

The overall quality of this company was superb. From the start, the ease and responsiveness was so appreciated. Everything fit with our needs in terms of high quality service, timing, setup, operating at the venue. The added layer of intense fun the Photo Booth provided our wedding guests was captured in the photos that will be treasured for the lifetime of the bride and groom! Family and friends too!

Freddy and Jacob were AMAZING!! They completely exceeded our expectations. We used them for our wedding and the dance floor was full all night. SWEG has amazing communication and keeps you updated throughout the entire process. I would 1000% recommend, don't think twice and use SWEG.

We used Soundwaves for not only our DJ service but also our photo booth services, and Jim, Stacy, Caleb, and Kaley were phenomenal to work with!

We truly cannot say enough amazing things about Jim! From the very beginning, he went above and beyond to make our wedding day unforgettable. He didn’t just play music, he helped create an experience that had everyone laughing, dancing, and involved all night long.

We wanted our reception to be unique and full of things our guests hadn’t experienced at every other wedding, and Jim absolutely delivered. From the bridal party entrance contest and fun auctions for the first table to eat, there was never a dull moment! He kept the energy high, got everyone involved, and made each part of the night feel personal to us.

One of the most special moments was getting to make our pregnancy announcement during the reception. Having Jim help us share such an important and exciting surprise with all of our family and friends made the moment even more memorable. It was something we will never forget!

Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had and how different and entertaining our reception was. Jim listened to everything we wanted, helped bring our ideas to life, and added his own creativity to make the night even better than we imagined.

If you’re looking for a DJ who will simply play music, you can find plenty of those. But if you want someone who will make your wedding an experience your guests will talk about for years, we cannot recommend Soundwaves Event Group enough! They were absolutely incredible, and we are so thankful they were such a huge part of our special day!

Jacob and Louis were truly AMAZING for our wedding reception! They brought the best vibes and energy and had our guests on the dance floor all night. We would recommend them to anyone who is looking to hire a wedding DJ!

Dj Jack was absolutely fantastic! He exceeded our expectations and kept the dance floor flowing! He was super accommodating to a last minute request days before the wedding and over all amazing! His skills are top notch! Soundwaves was super friendly and top tier!

Soundwaves made our wedding the best ever!!!! DJ skills unparalleled. Great sound quality. Our wedding started out with romantic first dance + parent dances. The vibe was passionate and warm. We loved their great uplighting effects. The cold sparklers are AMAZING!!! Everyone was in complete awe of them!

We wanted a dance party, and we got one. Music never broke the vibe. Great song choices for all generations, along with smooth transitions between songs. The floor was never empty. We ended with a slow dance with a packed floor.

Good communication, organization and showed great respect and kindness to help us coordinate a complex event! Would totally use again!

We worked with DJ Jack in October 2025, and he was AMAZING! We loved using the online portal to plan out the music for our day, and Jack was a huge help in thinking through the timeline of our day and how each song would match to it.

He understood our vibes perfectly, and our guests are still raving about the music a year later. He kept the energy upbeat effortlessly, was incredibly professional throughout the whole day, and made sure that all of our must-plays were heard. His equipment was top-notch too!

We also used the photo booth via Soundwaves, and it was great! The attendant was super friendly, we loved designing the strip, and it was a great activity to offer our guests. Super happy!

Soundwaves was great to work with. Our first meeting with Stacy was very informative. We got access to an online planning software that made it easy to make our music selections and design our timeline for the day. It was so helpful to have that guidance to make sure we had everything! Our DJ set up a meeting with us prior to the wedding to go over all the details and make sure they had everything we needed. The day of, Jacob and Ian were excellent and did everything we asked for and then some! We got so many compliments on the music from our guests and the dance floor was packed all night long! Afterwards, the DJ even shared some photos and videos he captured from the night which was an extra above and beyond.
