On our wedding day, we had the incredible Robin Applewood as our DJ and Matt on the saxophone, and the energy they brought was unmatched. The dance floor was alive and bumping the entire night without a single lull. Robin had an incredible sense of exactly what we needed at every moment, and Matt’s saxophone elevated the experience beyond anything we could have imagined.

Zeb is awesome! Worked with him at a wedding in Tahoe. Not only is a fantastic DJ but he is an uber talented musician as well. Played the guitar while the wedding party walked down the aisle it was beautiful!!
I had the opportunity to work with Zeb on the wedding of a lifetime in May, and he KILLED it! There were multiple days and parts to this celebration and he read the crowd perfectly. He created an atmosphere that everyone wanted to be part of. On the first night, we were supposed to end at 12am and he kept the party going well past 1:00am. No one wanted to leave the dance floor! On the night of the wedding, the dance floor was wall to wall people. Everyone was having the time of their lives. Zeb is a true professional, and he has mastered his role in events. I hope to be on the same team with him in the near future!
Zeb of Sounds Elevated is the best wedding DJ we've heard out of over 100 of them. He was the DJ / "sound guy" for the ceremony and reception at a wedding we photographed in Elk, CA in fall 2016, and here's what we observed: He really knows what people want to dance to. He didn't just crank out the top 40. He knew what was current and good to dance to while also mixing in a lot of the classics, without getting too cheesy or making you feel like you were at a late 90s Bar Mitzvah. And he actually mixed all of the music, seamlessly blending from one song to the next; there was never an awkward pause. You know he was playing all the right music because the age on the dance floor ranged from grandma and grandpa to crawling babies. Again, super current, danceable music without getting awkward or raunchy (which is awkward at a wedding). Besides the dance floor in the barn, Zeb also ran the sound for the 125 person ceremony, which was on top of a foggy California coastal hillside. His set up was clean and professional and sounded great! There were no mic errors / loud screechy cover your ears type of moments... and we've heard plenty of those right in the middle of a ceremony! His over all presence was friendly and professional and really just spot on. We ended up photographing later than we were scheduled for partly because the music was that good (and everyone was still dancing because of that)! We now only recommend Sounds Elevated to our clients (:
