I am a wedding planner in Tahoe and highly recommend hiring Sounds Elevated! They provided a live jazz trio for the wedding ceremony and DJ Ian McDonald for the reception who kept everyone dancing to funky music all night and was awesome to work with. We cannot recommend Sounds Elevated highly enough—they are truly the absolute best! From the moment we started working with their team, everything was seamless, professional, and stress-free.
On our wedding day, we had the incredible Robin Applewood as our DJ and Matt on the saxophone, and the energy they brought was unmatched. The dance floor was alive and bumping the entire night without a single lull. Robin had an incredible sense of exactly what we needed at every moment, and Matt’s saxophone elevated the experience beyond anything we could have imagined.

We had such a wonderful experience with Sounds Elevated from start to finish. We originally found them since we were interested in a DJ Live Fusion for our wedding. We really enjoyed how personable Zeb was on the initial call and trusted him completely for our wedding. We chose the Zenith Package so that we could definitely get DJ Zeb plus 3 areas of sound and more lighting and we are so happy we did! They were really great with guidance in choosing music and how to create different playlists for the different parts of the wedding day. The final call before our wedding was extremely helpful and Zeb is just a really nice person who also gave great advice! I was also particularly grateful to Zeb for remembering certain details I told him were important to me during our phone call and he really made sure to prioritize each one during our wedding. The band was incredible and the dance floor was packed all night long! It was really hard for me to step away to do anything else because every song was perfect and the energy was great! I cannot recommend them enough every guest has told me countless times they had so much fun! Thank you so much Sounds Elevated everything was perfect!!!!

Amazing DJ & Live Fusion Musicians
We chose the Zenith Package with DJ Zeb for our wedding, and it was one of the best decisions we made! DJ Zeb curated the perfect mix of songs that kept our guests dancing all night. We also opted for the Live Fusion package, which added live musicians to the DJ set—an incredible touch that elevated the experience.
Sounds Elevated handled all of our reception music and lighting seamlessly, while also coordinating a string trio for our ceremony and a professional photo booth. The string players learned and performed our requested modern songs as classical renditions, making our ceremony feel even more special.
Zeb's deep musical expertise was evident from our very first planning call. He took the time to understand our vision and put together a playlist that truly reflected our style. The custom edits he made for our first dance and wedding entrance were perfect, and his lighting setup created an amazing party atmosphere.

Fantastic Sounds Elevated !
Our wedding at the Claremont Hotel was just amazing largely thanks to Sounds Elevated who provided the lighting , sound and musicians. They were so professional, thoughtful and great listeners for just what you want. They provided the live guitarist for the ceremony , the amazing DJ- King Most- and the musicians for the DJ Fusion which was the best. Everyone of all ages danced the entire wedding . They are just a superb experience!

Great wedding DJ
Zeb from Sounds Elevated truly took our wedding to the next level. He played acoustic guitar during the ceremony, he DJed our reception (along with his live accompaniment on saxophone and drums, who were incredible). He even provided us with an afterparty playlist. Everything about the music at our wedding went perfectly, and we got rave reviews from our guests about the live music and Zeb’s song choices. The dance floor was packed for the whole reception. We would happily reuse Zeb and Sounds Elevated for future DJ needs. Don’t think twice about booking Sounds Elevated!

Sounds Elevated Made Our Wedding a Dance Party We'll Never Forget
Our wedding day was all about celebrating the love story that began on a dance floor. Finding the perfect DJ to capture that energy and create an unforgettable night was paramount. Thankfully, fate (and a little online research) led us to Zeb and Sounds Elevated. He became the first vendor we booked, and for good reason.
From the moment we connected, Zeb's professionalism and attention to detail shone through. He took the time to understand our "meet-cute" story and how we envisioned music shaping our wedding. We opted for the Zenith package, which perfectly fit our needs.
Zeb wasn't just a DJ; he was an experience architect. He welcomed arriving guests by playing the acoustic guitar, creating a warm and intimate ambiance. The ceremony music was both peaceful and sentimental, setting the perfect tone. During the cocktail hour and dinner, Zeb curated a lively yet relaxing vibe that kept the conversation flowing.
But the true magic happened on the dance floor, thanks to Zeb's expert curation and seamless transitions. Zeb seamlessly transitioned the energy from classic favorites to a club vibe. The lighting included in our Zenith package enhanced the party experience even more. A few of the many highlights include an impromptu conga line, a dance circle, our dads dancing to hip hop, our friends gathered around singing at the top of our lungs. Our guests, even the self-proclaimed non-dancers, were tearing it up!

Sounds Elevated was the absolute best to work with. From the initial intake to helping us pick out our DJ - Chris Fox!! - they were on it. We used them for photo-booth, ceremony strings, pianist, and DJ w/ Sax fusion.
Chris Fox 100% executed on our vision for the wedding vibes. The dance floor was electric. He also kept the pace of the reception as our trusted MC always on track and was able to read the room and make adjustments as needed.

He does it all
This review for Zeb (and the whole Sounds Elevated Team) is long overdue. Zeb is not only an incredible musician in his own right but plays the role of musical conductor with equal panache. A true “Jack of All Trades.” Some of the many hats he wore for our wedding include:
-He played solo guitar for our ceremony
-Lined up a jazz quartet for the happy hour
-Setup the party lighting (party but classy) for the reception
-Setup a photo booth for guests to take fun photos (a big hit btw)
-DJ’d with a live accompaniment combo for the reception
- stayed up way later than we asked him to, and DJ our afterparty (which was a VERY different vibe than the reception).
He was hustling for easily 10 hours straight. And every single element he contributed to the festivities was top tier. My older cousin, a professional musician for many years, was blown away by the level of talent. It’s been almost a year since the wedding and we still get compliments about the entertainment. He and his team went above and beyond. Easily the best “value” for anything we spent money on for the wedding. I strongly recommend meeting with Zeb and gearing his philosophy/approach to weddings/events.

So glad we went with Sounds Elevated!
We found our perfect venue for our rustic fall wedding at the Reinstein Ranch and our venue coordinator gave us recommendations for entertainment based on what we were looking for. Going with Sounds Elevated was an easy decision and we cannot speak highly enough about Zeb and Lindsey. Throughout the stressful planning process, Zeb was relaxed and professional. He helped us understand our options, the timeline, and was more than accommodating with last minute adjustments. We appreciated their flexibility and the consistent communication throughout the planning process.
We went with the Elevated Package with the Advanced Floor Lighting, up lighting, acoustic guitar, and classic photo booth with a custom engraved memory book and couldn’t have been happier with the decision. Zeb crushed it on the acoustic guitar during the ceremony and kept the dance floor going all night with his awesome mixing skills. We opted for more of a party vibe over traditional wedding songs and Zeb hit the nail on the head. Our guests raved it was the most fun they had at a wedding, and that was what we were going for. Lindsey was great and the photobooth was a hit. We paid for an extra hour and the booth was active all evening. Our guests loved using the variety of props to make some great memories. We enjoy looking back at the photos and the messages our guests wrote in the memory book.
If you are looking for a company who understands the small details matter, and a staff who go out of their way to make the planning process easier, look no further. We had a great experience with Sounds Elevated and cannot thank Zeb and Lindsey enough for being a huge part of what we feel was a perfect night!

Sounds Elevated is the best! Super professional and always responsive. After working with Zeb for many years in the corporate event world, hiring for my wedding was a no-brainer. From ceremony strings and emcee services to DJ/Fusion + silent disco with epic dance floor lighting, Sounds Elevated is FIRE. To top it all off, they also have a great photo booth (So Good Photobooth) with the black and white GLAM filter (Kardashian vibes). Our guests ate it up and we love that we have digital copies. Best dance floor ever!
Zeb and team were awesome to work with for our recent Tahoe wedding. The team was able to meet our vision of complementing dj with live music -- offering live music for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and delivering a combined dj / live music fusion for the dance party. Our dance floor was constantly full and high energy from the start to the end of the event. When midnight rolled around, guests were left craving more. The uplighting on the dance floor really helped bring the ambiance to life. Thank you to Zeb and Sounds Elevated for creating a truly epic dance party. We couldn't have asked for more.

Donovan was our DJ for our wedding at Rush Creek Lodge in Yosemite. Zebulon was so helpful in getting us a DJ that fit our music journey. My husband and I met out dancing at Funky Sole night in LA and Donovan DJ's Motown Mondays in SF. It was a perfect fit! Donovan was so communicative and friendly and made the whole event so easy. Sounds Elevated made our wedding a fantastic party, and we had a great time working with Zeb and our DJ Patrick King Most leading up to and during our event! From start to finish, Zeb was communicative and helpful, answering all our questions and adjusting things like lighting as we changed / requested them. We really appreciated the cadence of communication, and the ease of submitting info like our playlists, speech lists, etc.
DJ King Most’s dj’ing was excellent, and the dance floor was always active. Our guests had an amazing time, and we still get compliments about the event weeks after it happened! We cannot recommend them enough!

DJ Patrick and the Sounds Elevated team did an outstanding job for our wedding. To start, the quoting/contracting process was super easy and transparent. DJ Patrick then held a really helpful consultation with us to get aligned on the flow of the event, the audio requirements, and the vibe we were going for at each stage of the wedding. On wedding day, everything went smoothly- from the mics and PA at the ceremony, to the music for cocktail hour, and announcements throughout dinner. The night ended with an amazing dance party. We couldn't recommend these folks more!

The best music!!
My husband and I had Chris dj our wedding and we have the best experience. He was so great to work with, the whole process of booking was so easy and he truly takes pride in making your event perfect. Chris took time out of his day to call us and get to know us before the wedding day. We gave a list of our favorite songs and Chris knew exactly when to play them, added songs that were like it and asked questions that we wouldn’t of thought of for our wedding. Our guest still talk about how much they had dancing the night away. He was so kind and easy to work with. We couldn’t be happier! I highly recommend working with Chris for your wedding or special event.

Best Dance Floor Ever
Aside from getting married, the Sounds Elevated team was the BEST part of our special day!! We opted for the DJ/Live pacakge with DJ King Most, a decision we would make over and over again! Zeb and the team went above and beyond, and Zeb was so helpful answering my many questions since I had not experienced a DJ/live experience before. I can't say enough good things about Sounds Elevated and how important the DJ experience is. Our guests would have danced the whole night away if we let them! DJ King Most and our extremely talented musicians kept the dancing going and made it such an experience. We had almost every guest tell us how blown away they were by the music, and that it was their favorite part of the whole day. Zeb and his band was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day! I spent a long time looking at vendors for our wedding and Zeb really checked all the boxes, offering a DJ/Live music hybrid option. We had Zeb DJ and also added live drums, guitar, and saxophone - it was a HUGE hit with our guests!
On top of an incredible performance at our reception, Zeb was so easy and chill to work with throughout our wedding process. He was patient with our postponements (due to COVID) and always made me feel at ease in the conversations we had (which is an added bonus for an overwhelmed bride!)
I liked that we could choose to be as hands-on as we wanted, providing him exact songs/playlists through Spotify. But in the event we didn't have time to select a song of playlist for part of the wedding, Zeb could easily fill in the blanks and there was no doubt in my mind that Zeb would choose the best selection that fit our vibe throughout the wedding and ceremony.
We still get compliments from our guests about the DJ/band crew at the wedding. (The Sax is a must!) Thank you for giving us a celebration we will never forget! :)

Zeb is a DJ Ninja. Planning a wedding during 2020 had its challenges as Im sure you know. We originally booked Sounds Elevated to basically do ALL the entertainment at our wedding of over 300 people. Zeb was going to play music for the ceremony, then set up with the band for the reception, then DJ the silent disco until they kicked us out! He was also going to set up the photo booth. We were super excited to throw a huge party for all of our friends and Sounds Elevated was all for it!
Then, well, you know how 2020 went. The big party was cancelled but we wanted go through with our wedding. We kept planning smaller and smaller gatherings until we were just going to elope in the woods.
Our people were not having it, with 2 weeks notice a good friends backyard was offered for the reception. We set up the ceremony on a dock on Donner Lake. Sounds Elevated came to the rescue! Zeb had kept our date open! Even though they had to haul out early to make it back to SF the next morning, they came and rocked our reception!
Zeb was great, he set up by the dock to play acoustic guitar for us as I walked down the aisle and we said our I do's. It all was thrown together so quickly he even set up his go pro so we have video of the ceremony. I can't express how thankful I am for going above and beyond!
For the reception, the band played what we requested and also got super funky! They are all super talented musicians that Sound Elevated had to put together last minute. The wedding was in September so no one had seen live music in a while and everyone was so happy to be dancing! Several neighbors even wrote our friends to tell them thank you for the awesome live music! The band even had people dancing in their own backyards!
To sum it up, Sounds Elevated came through for us, last minute, when we thought the party wouldn't happen. They were professional, fun, funky, and went above and beyond and made our big day perfect! I really cant thank them enough for putting in the work and pulling it off!

Very professional and easy to work with
We loved having Sounds Elevated DJ our wedding. Zeb and his team communicated well, were punctual, and they worked with us after a couple wedding/venue changes this past year. Our DJ was Patrick, who was also super easy to communicate with and very detail oriented. I highly recommend and would hire them again!

Great Wedding DJ!
Amazing wedding DJ! Chip was super communicative, fairly priced, and he did a great job listening to the style of music we wanted to hear and then riffing off of that.
He also was super flexible and willing to play the after party (for an added cost) until 3am, which our group really appreciated and made for a very memorable night!

Zeb made our entire wedding!
There was not a single thing Zeb could have done better! He was professional and helpful from a business standpoint, and a personal standpoint, through all of the Covid mayhem. My new wife and I are not great at picking music but he helped us through and ended up creating the most amazing party atmosphere. On top of his impeccable reception DJ skills he also handled all of the audio requirements of the ceremony, including helping my brother in law, who was playing the music for the ceremony, set up and really giving him the added confidence boost to play his best. Zeb has the best attitude and really made us feel comfortable and at ease the entire day. You are the best Zeb! Thanks

More than just a DJ
Sounds Elevated offers a unique DJ and band combination that really levels up the traditional DJ or Band at a wedding. You get the flexibility of both. Zeb was so flexible and helped us with our multiple date changes and lined up some really great horns and drums to elevate our dancing experince and give us the opportunity to give a ska feeling at our wedding. Ian (our DJ) even worked with the mother of the groom and maid of honor to download a lithuanian song for one of the speeches on the day of the wedding. We would definetly reccommend Sounds Elevated for your wedding.

Zeb will make your event one to remember
A couple of years ago I had the best time cutting a rug to the jams that Zeb played at a wedding I went to. When it was time for us to get married, we knew that we wanted to have Zeb be the one playing the music on our big day. Due to COVID our wedding was much smaller than originally anticipated and we were not able to have a dance floor due to the restrictions. Despite all that Zeb still got the party going! He played a couple of our favorite songs on his acoustic guitar for our wedding processional and then was our DJ/MC for the rest of the evening, playing a variety of tunes during cocktail hour and dinner. We mostly left it to him to decide on the music that was played but we did have a few last minute song requests including right before the ceremony started and he was able to fit all that into his set without missing a beat ;) I would highly recommend Zeb to anyone looking for a DJ/musician for their event.

I own and operate a wedding venue in the Tahoe area and have worked with Zeb from Sounds Elevated multiple times in recent years. Zeb is among the most professional vendors I have had the pleasure of working with and surpass my clients' expectation every single time. What's unique about Zeb, unlike the many other DJs we've worked with, is that Zeb is an accomplished musician and original DJ. He not only can play live music for the ceremony and cocktail hour, but can also mix and create one-of-a-kind songs and beats during the dancing hours. Best DJ Live Combo + Photo Booth
Ok, Zeb and Lindsey KILLED IT! I came across their profile on an instagram hashtag and SO grateful I found them. My husband loves music and we decided that we did want to make sure our DJ and vibes fit us as a couple. I love to dance and Jared loves the art of music, so we were so happy that we found a DJ-Live Music Combo. Zeb as a DJ by himself is seriously amazing, and then when you get to add live drums or a saxophone, it is GAME OVER! Our guests had such an amazing time dancing and I loved his emceeing, it wasn't the cheesy wedding style but just totally read the vibes of the dance floor, us as a couple and mixed in what we requested and what we were all feeling. What we appreciated the most is that he also was able to play live acoustic for our ceremony. Jared loves playing the guitar so having live music for our ceremony was perfection. He was able to play Harvest Moon and Here Comes the Sun, then transitioned perfectly for cocktail hour with our hipster cocktail vibes then to getting down on the dance floor! The Photo Booth was also so much fun, Lindsey did a great job asking what I wanted my photo strip to look like and manned the booth for us. Our pictures were delivered to us immediately. Both of them were so easy to work with! If you don't just want a DJ and want to level up with options of live instrumentals, plus a Photo Booth, this is your packaged deal! OH and Zeb took some awesome sunset photos for us. Couldn't have asked for a better music choice. Thank you so much for making our big day so memorable!

Amazing Experience!!
What a great experience... Zeb and his musicians were a perfect addition to our couple's wedding celebration. Wish You Were Here
I'll never forget walking down the aisle with my mom and dad by my side, the sun shining down on smiling friends and family, with the sound of Zeb's acoustic "Wish You Were Here" helping me float all the way to the altar.
To say that Zeb went above and beyond for our wedding is an understatement. When we had to postpone our original date due to COVID-19, Zeb remained positive and supportive the entire time, doing everything he could to help us prepare for our big day. He not only crushed our ceremony music, but he NAILED his DJ set and had our guests dancing to a variety of tunes all night.
I don't want to get married ever again, but I will definitely keep Zeb's information just in case. :)

We worked Sounds Elevated for a few different components of our wedding including acoustic tunes for our ceremony, a jazz trio for our cocktail hour, MC duties for our reception and late-night DJing at the end of our reception.
Zeb and his team nailed it on all fronts. His acoustic set the perfect backdrop for our intimate and personal ceremony... it really set the tone and made it feel like us. The jazz trio we had for our cocktail hour was fantastic and made it feel lively and fun yet classic at the same time. Lastly, Zebs MC and DJing were on point!! We had such a blast closing out the night dancing.
Zeb was also really great to work with and helped provide us with some guidance on how to organize our thoughts to make sure we got to hear all our favorites while setting the tone we wanted for the night.

Incredible DJ/Live Combo
Zeb and Sounds Elevated was the best possible DJ for our wedding. He played guitar during the ceremony and then for the reception he had the dance floor going crazy from start to finish. We also hired Teddy on the saxophone who was incredible. This was a great solution if you want some live aspect but can't have an entire band for whatever reason. Zeb and Teddy worked so well together to make the songs feel like live performances and Teddy was able to walk throughout the dance floor getting everyone involved. Felt like a concert!
Zeb was easy to communicate throughout the process and he customized the music to be exactly what we wanted. He provided example playlists to get us started so we could tell him the vibe we were going for and then he absolutely delivered. I also saw a couple of his shows in San Francisco which are worth checking out even if you don't hire him for your wedding! I can guarantee you won't be disappointed with Zeb. I'm confident he would be great in a variety of different settings. It is obvious he knows his music. He is as involved or not as you want. Whether you want a specific set of songs or if you want him to run with it, he will 100% deliver.

Wow! Zeb and his fellow musicians were all unbelievably amazing. We hired Sounds Elevated to have Zeb play acoustic guitar during our wedding ceremony, provide a pianist for cocktail hour, and to have a live drummer and DJ set during the reception. Music (and the good vibes it brings) were very important to us, and Sounds Elevated exceeded expectations for us and our guests.
Zeb worked with us extensively prior to the wedding to learn new songs on guitar and offer suggestions for our playlist. He quickly picked up on the style we wanted and brought it to the next level. The pianist was absolutely stunning and incredibly talented. He created the perfect classy ambiance we were seeking. The drummer was remarkable and added such an awesome sound to every song. And of course, Zeb is the backbone of it all. Month’s later, we’re frequently listening to our wedding DJ set, which he kindly provided on mp3 so we can relive the party anytime, anywhere. Worth every single penny!
If you want great music throughout your big day and an epic dance floor, book Zeb! Our #1 priority was to have music that kept people dancing all night and he delivered! It’s not just that Zeb plays good music, he plays songs at the EXACT right time. It’s absolutely an art.
We knew we were going to be in good hands with Zeb, but we didn’t realize how amazing he’d be. First, he is an absolute professional, is so easy to work with, and makes sure he makes your day exactly how you envision. It’s incredible. Second, he came up clutch when we decided not to have a piano player at our ceremony last minute - he stepped up and played beautiful acoustic guitar.
Finally, he crushed the reception! He was on point with the mic and I had so many different people ranting and raving about the music the next day. My aunt couldn’t stop talking about the throwbacks that kept her on the dance floor. My wife’s greek relatives loved that the whole room was dancing to the traditional greek wedding song that got played, and our friends couldn’t stop talking about how crazy fun the dance floor was all night. Process: Easy to work with, took an interest in our wants and needs, used our Spotify lists of 250+ songs heavily as requested. On time, on point, and on budget. Great communication; coordinated seamlessly with our planner, videographer and other vendors. Late changes were met with "can-do" attitude, he didn't skip a beat.
Results: Great ceremony sound and a full dancefloor until the last song - including a lot of folks we didn't expect to stick around that long. Perfect balance of our must-play selections and reading the crowd / adding his own vibe. He was watching us all night and immediately responsive to signals for "please move the buffet line along" and "hey this dance is getting long and awkward" and "let's get this party turnt up right now!" A number of guests commented on what a great dance party it was.

Zeb was seriously the best. From the first consultation to the day of execution, he was extremely communicative, friendly, and easy going! Throughout the planning process, asking him questions and getting his expertise on thing was a breeze. He always replied to every email right away and always made us feel like we were his top priority. We loved his vibe and attitude towards music. Being that Zeb is a musician first and a DJ second he truly understands music on a different level. He listened to all of our likes and more importantly dislikes when it came to music selection and did a fantastic job incorporating every request into the night at exactly the right moment. Using Spotify to make playlists gave us a chance to share our music tastes with him, while still allowing for Zeb to use his expertise to sculpt the vibe for the entire night. We loved how relaxed he was on wedding day, set up all his equipment without bothering any wedding guests and hit every timeline moment spot on. Zeb is NOT one of those "cheezy" wedding DJs who tries to be a part of the party. He only uses the microphone when necessary and allows the guests to make the night their own. I can't recommend Zeb more and promise that whatever type of music style you like or vibe you are looking for, he can make your wedding night a dream come true!

We honestly couldn't have imagined a better DJ than Zeb. He was so easy to work with, dependable, and most importantly had the majority of our guests on the dance floor, for every single song, for two hours straight! He shut down the night with a full floor. As someone who works in the wedding industry, I see a lot of weddings and a lot of DJs. We loved Zeb because he wasn't cheesy, gave great advice and support along the way, and does a great job mixing live instead of presetting everything and just clicking play. You can really tell he truly loves what he does. We'd recommend him over and over again. If you're worried about what DJ to pick, go with Zeb! I promise you 100 percent you won't regret it.

Sounds Elevated was amazing for our wedding. Zeb handled all of the coordination prior and then Ian was our DJ day of. In addition, they provided extra set up for the ceremony (including microphones), speakers for the cocktail hour, and the photo booth. Also, Ian is a guitarist, and was able to play for the ceremony as well. Having a one stop shop for everything was wonderful. Zeb was always very responsive and helpful throughout the process. Zeb played, DJ'ed and MC'ed our wedding, solo, and totally crushed it on all fronts.
During the ceremony, he played live acoustic guitar, going so far as to learn a few special songs ahead of the wedding to make the ceremony exceptionally special.
At cocktail hour, Zeb kept the vibe bright and happy with some great live tunes. The outdoor space we were in was beautiful, and the sounds elevated the moment to peak heights.
During dinner, the background music was classy, and Zeb was very attentive at enabling toasts and speeches with mics and sound coordination. Oh yeah - he brought all the AV gear needed to fill a massive outdoor space with the voices during the ceremony. Did I mention he is awesome! Our officiant, and I the groom both had wireless clippy-mics (that an industry standard term) rigged up, and their was a hand held wireless mic for the blessing bit for the moms. That mic got some good use during dinner too, and even my 90 year old grandma could hear what was going on.
Now on to the fun part - the dance party! Wow, Zeb was so spot on, and had the good people on the floor from first dance to last call. We had our few 'must plays' and a wee spotify list with some 'we kinda like this type of music' songs, and he was able to craft an engaging night of fun with everything from polka to gangsta' rap (thanks uncle ken for that request) mixed in with deft timing and crowd pleasing precision. Feedback from our guests was it was one of the most fun weddings they have ever been to.
I would highly recommend Zeb to play - and enable - all the musical needs of your event.

Zeb was amazing. He did a great job DJing - we gave him barely any guidelines for the reception, but he still played exactly what we wanted. He sent out detailed surveys before the date which allowed us to give him an idea of what we wanted playing at various times throughout the ceremony and reception. He even kept playing after the set finish time when our whole party wanted to keep dancing!
We worked with his fiance Lindsey for our photobooth, which was also exceptional. They both traveled to Tahoe for our wedding, and their travel prices were very reasonable. They come highly recommended!

Zeb is amazing! We hired him and Lindsey with So Good Photobooth to be our DJ (ceremony, sound/mics, reception, dancing) and photobooth for our wedding right outside of Yosemite last month.
Pre-wedding: We inquired with a few DJ prospects, but after talking with Zeb, we knew he was the right DJ for us. A non-cheesy DJ that isn't a mic-hog and has great taste in music, especially since he's a musician himself! He was incredibly organized and responsive via email throughout the wedding planning process. He also utilizes an online questionnaire and a wedding music planning app, as well as Spotify, to help with your selection of music for the day of. It made wedding planning much easier knowing we were in good hands with Zeb when it came to hiring a DJ.
Wedding: When it came to the day of, Zeb arrived earlier than expected to our venue to set things up, which is great! Everything went so smoothly throughout the entire day. He played some great music, everything from motown, oldies, hip hop, and pop. He really read the crowd and gauged what music to play next based on how people were reacting! He was great on the mic too when introducing people for speeches, and was very attentive in making sure to check in with us throughout the wedding when needed.
Post-wedding: Zeb was incredibly quick to follow up after our wedding, specifically over our photobooth prints with So Good Photobooth. I was so shocked on the quick turnaround with the photos!! At the end of the day, our only regret was that we didn't hire Zeb to be our DJ at our after-party after the wedding to keep the party going!
Zeb and Lindsey were great and we would recommend both of their services to anyone and everyone! Thanks again Zeb and Lindsey!!

Best DJ/Band performance we had ever seen. He had everyone up on the dance floor all night and managed to play all of our family and our favorite songs with live components! Our guests absolutely loved it and everyone of all ages had a blast and won't stop talking about it. Zeb was also extremely responsive and easy to work with all years as we prepped for our wedding. He also did an awesome job as MC for the wedding....really truly a professional and did it with a smile on his face. We couldn't recommend him and his team highly enough!

If Zeb is available, book him! We booked Zeb for our reception and couldn't have been any happier and wonder what our wedding would have been like without him! He played the guitar for cocktail hour and then DJ'd the reception so we were excited that he doesn't only specialize in one area.
With our small wedding and older people from our families attending, my husband and I initially thought the dance floor was going to be empty most of the night. Well, Zeb had the party going so much that even our older family members were on the dance floor all evening as they enjoyed Zeb's selection.
He was great to work with and my husband and I think that without Zeb, our wedding wouldn't have been so great!

What an incredible show! Zeb and his fellow musicians were a hit! Brittany and I are so happy that we came across you by fortunate reference. After reviewing Zeb's website and speaking to him, I knew immediately that he was the one! It was getting late in the planning, a month out to be exact, and Zeb was on it! Our musical tastes were similar so all I did was slide a few of our preferences his way and he did the rest. Zeb is a talented artist/musician and if you're thinking of adding on his live band set up for your event, DO IT! We did. He was so accommodating and knew what he was doing. Very trustworthy. Zeb was our wedding DJ this summer and totally exceeded our expectations! We gave him minimal direction to do what he does best, and he most definitely delivered. He really understood how to get EVERYONE onto the dance floor and progressed the party into the night. Even our grandparents still can't stop talking about how much fun they had, and he was kind enough to let some of our younger family members put their turntable talents to the test. Zeb was great! He listened to what we wanted and built a great set. He knew how to feel out the room and how to accommodate guest requests. He also was great with my nephew and younger cousin who loved the DJ booth. Due to a landslide the quartet for the ceremony was late, but Zeb was there early and stepped up immediately and was ready with music in its place. I'd recommend Zeb for any wedding or event. We couldn't have been happier.

Zeb at Sounds Elevated is not a wedding DJ. He is a musician. The difference is huge when you are trying to create that perfect entertainment environment and throw the best party you can. Not only was he one of the nicest people, but also was able to execute a vision beyond my expectations. We gave him several playlists of songs for different parts of the wedding (pre-ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, etc) and then asked him to also read the vibe of the room and improvise. Our number one goal was to have an epic dance party, which Zeb definitely delivered on. He even got all our parents to the dance floor! Our venue closed at 9PM and we had an afterparty at the lodge we were staying at nearby. I wasn't sure we should have that part DJ'd or just use our own playlists, but we ended up having Zeb move to the afterparty venue and continue DJing for a few hours. It was totally worth it! It was an amazing time and he was so friendly and helped create a fun vibe. 10/10 would hire again!

We hired Zeb for our outdoor wedding in Berkeley, CA in July 2017. He was fantastic from our initial phone contact through the end of our wedding evening. Zeb is professional, courteous and organized. He will be as much of a critical centerpiece and organizer as you need him to be or will gladly defer to a coordinator and take direction. My wife and I highly recommend Zeb, here is what we were most impressed with:
- Reading us at initial phone consultation and subsequent follow ups, communicating with us the way we wanted to be communicated with.
- Punctuality - he was on site before our wedding coordinator!
- Professionalism. Clear, concise communication, perfectly dressed, kind to guests. Happily took direction from our coordinator.
- Great equipment. Top of the line, capable of handling any indoor/outdoor space.
- The music. Zeb did an incredible job of managing the needs/wants of my wife and I but at the same time seamlessly reading the crowd and incorporating requests. We really would not have done anything differently.
Lastly, Zeb is a musician himself. That's important. I believe this is what really allowed Zeb to ensure the music and transitions were so seamless. He understands music and he understands how to manage a vibe.

Zeb was so so so many on and before our wedding day. He was there every step of the way. I go a recommendation list of DJs from our venue and sent him a quick email and he responded to me within minutes.
He was so kind and easy going (which is great in the stressful wedding process.) He listened to my request, concerns and executed perfectly. During our wedding, he was there before the event to set up and I just completed trusted him with everything else! His prices are so reasonable especially considering how awesome he is! He somehow managed to please a wide variety of age groups at my wedding and made sure everyone had an incredible time.

Zeb was not only personable and very professional in the introductory and planning phases of the process, but he was also amenable to suggestions and very flexible.
He was extremely thorough and helpful, and basically left it up to us how much or little we wanted to be involved with curating and shaping the musical selections at the different points of our wedding.
During the wedding he worked closely with the wedding coordinator, and with us, without needing too much input since we had everything carefully planned beforehand because he made it so easy to do so. His drummer, his dj skills and his ability to blend live performance with the classics we loved really had our guests gushing over how fun the music was. Seriously he was the best wedding DJ and live music experience we've ever had.

Zeb was a fantastic DJ! He was wonderful to work with — so accommodating, so chill and so personable. Our guests raved about Zeb's work at our wedding. As one guest told me, she was waiting for a song to come on that she didn't love so she could leave the dance floor and grab a drink, but such a song never came on. Zeb rocked the first part of dancing at our wedding, which was more inspired by oldies, pop and classic dance hits and then did an amazing job DJing our after-hours party, mixing up the classics with club beats and great transitions. Everyone loved his work! He was also a wonderful, low-key emcee throughout the night and an overall kind person. We highly recommend him!

I would recommend Zebuel 100% for any wedding big or small. We put on a wedding with multiple events, and he was the backbone of each of the days.
Zebuel can bring a full band, be the band himself, play guitar, dj, mc, run sound, entertain, and improvise based on what's happening, making him hireable for an entire weekend, not just one event or day. And he's funny, personable, adaptive, and trustworthy.
There is no way we could have pulled off musically what we did, without Zebuel being the pulse of it the entire 4 days.

Zeb was amazing! Prior to the wedding he was always available for questions and to make sure we had everything set and ready for the big day. It made for a stress free celebration. We actually added some extra speaker set ups, that we had not planned for, only a couple days before the wedding and he was able to accommodate without any issues. He was on time and even offered to help out any of the other vendors if need be.
He played music during our cocktail hour, dinner and once it was time to dance. He seamlessly interacted with the guests and other vendors and was just a real pleasure to have at our wedding.
We sent him a list of music we liked, he took it added some other great music and made an amazing play list!! All of our guests from our 90 year old grandpa to our college friends were out dancing all night. We truly enjoyed having him as part of our celebration.
If you are looking for a DJ, you've found him! I can't recommend Zeb enough!

Zeb single-handedly made our wedding the incredible party we had imagined. First, he happily made the trip to Elk, CA (3 hours north of SF) for the big day without complaint. The ceremony music (from what I remember...I was in a bit of an emotional fog throughout) was exactly as we'd imagined, and Zeb was even willing to help our catering staff schlep chairs back down from the bluff where it occurred to the reception barn.
As for reception music, it was just perfect. He did an amazing job reading the crowd and keeping the energy up and bodies moving until the wee hours of the morning! So many of our friends told us how much they enjoyed his music. Our vision was to have an epic dance party, and that vision was wholly achieved! Zeb also played for soooooo long (ceremony started at 4:30pm, reception ended at 12midnight), for which my husband and I were so grateful. We didn't get to really start enjoying ourselves on the dance floor until after 10 (turns out schmoozing at a wedding is a really time consuming thing!) and we were glad to have plenty of time to dance with our friends.
Zeb is also just a super nice guy. He spent time on the phone getting to know us beforehand, was easy to communicate with via email, incorporated all of our requests for various chapters of the evening, and was fun to have there the night-of. He happily and warmly interacted with us and guests throughout the long evening.
Highly recommend Zeb!

We hired Zeb on the recommendation of our wedding planner, and we could not be happier! Zeb is as professional as they come. From the first contact through the wedding he was responsive, clearly communicated expectations, and overall a joy to work with.
You never know what you are going to get when hiring a DJ you haven’t heard before, but rest assured, with Zeb you will not only get a DJ who reads the crowd perfectly and plays music that gets EVERYONE going (including my 87 year old grandma who hasn’t danced in years!), but you will get someone who takes pride in what he does. Zeb played acoustics for our ceremony and even learned a few new songs for us (Queen’s “Don’t stop me now”). For the reception we built a playlist of songs we like, and Zeb took that cue to build the most complete wedding set list ever. The best thing about his performance is that during the entire ceremony he was learning what pumped people up, what didn’t, and what would literally make people shout with excitement (it actually happened more than once!). He is truly a master of his craft.
Overall, Zeb was the best wedding DJ I have ever heard, one I will recommend to anyone having a wedding or event in Tahoe or the Bay Area, and an incredible value for money option.

He created a space for old and young to come together and shake their bones. Very professional and responsible. He lived up to every aspect of the contract we agreed on. Zeb Built our Party of a Lifetime
Zeb and his team exceeded every expectation at our recent wedding in Monterey. For starters, he brings a great blend of laid-back willingness to meet any idea or request, with a sharp music acumen and event expertise.
He worked with us during each step of the planning process, never pressing, to amplify our vision. A special shout out for a meaningful family/bridal party/etc. song. Playing a particular remix of a song we like. Nailing down particular subgenres during each stage of the night. Attentive to our song dislikes and "no plays". But at the same time, adding his expert feel and live touch for what the crowd was wanting.
Zeb and his team built standout moments - our crowd even started a room-wide conga line (who does that anymore?). And a shout-a-long of Bohemian Rhapsody as our closer for the night. And the live sax fusion... everyone kept commenting about that being their favorite part of the night. At the same time, he simplified all of our anxieties in what can be a whale of a planning process. He got our mindset/vision immediately and was the perfect amount of helpful in steering us to the best party ever.

Sounds Elevated was so wonderful to work with for our wedding! We worked specifically with Chris Fox and he was amazing!! Chris really took time with us to learn what music we envisioned for our day. We put together a few playlists with a handful of songs and Chris took those and ran with them. The songs he selected to round out the playlists were absolutely perfect. We met with him on a video call on two different occasions which really put me at ease. Chris is such a genuinely nice guy and is so easy to work with. He was so detail oriented and clearly has a lot of experience which I really appreciated and made me feel at ease. I can’t recommend Chris enough, I’m so grateful we trusted him to MC & DJ our special day!!

This band was amazing. They came highly recommended by a friend who produces the Joshua Tree Music Festival. Zeb was easy to communicate with. We gave him some song requests and he went for it. I was a little worried that the old people at the wedding might not like the music, but they had my 75 year old father in-law dancing until the end! It was so fun!

Zeb was great! Super laid back and mostly responsive. My only real qualm was that he was almost too hands-off and we could have used a little more guidance at times. On the other hand, his pre-wedding questionnaire was incredibly thorough, so I can't really complain too much :-)
