We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful or stress-free wedding day. The Sound View was the perfect venue in every way. Kelly, the catering director, was such a pleasure to work with—responsive, organized, and incredibly thoughtful. She answered every question thoroughly and quickly, and made the entire planning process feel manageable. The contract, pricing, menu, and details were all super clear, and she made room block adjustments a breeze as our guest list shifted.

One of the best parts of having our wedding here was the food. Since it’s a full-service restaurant, everything was truly delicious—from the tasting (one of the most fun parts of planning!) to the wedding dinner itself. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about the food and drinks. We were able to personalize our menu with some amazing appetizers, stations, and a gelato bar, which was a huge hit.

Our beach ceremony was an absolute dream. Kelly handled all of the rentals and coordinated the rehearsal the night before, working seamlessly with our day-of coordinator. On the day itself, I didn’t have to worry about a single thing.

Most of our guests were from California and used to stunning venues—but they couldn’t get over how gorgeous this beachfront, sunset-over-water spot was in New York. It blew everyone away.

Every staff member—from the chefs and bartenders to valets, wait staff, and housekeeping—was kind, professional, and warm. The hotel itself was gorgeous, our suite was huge, and the setting was stunning. We'll be looking back at our photos forever and feeling so grateful we chose the Sound View. Truly unforgettable.

After visiting the Halyard, my then-fiancé and I knew it was the perfect wedding venue! From the location, to the food, to the staff, everything contributed to make it the most special day. Caroline is truly amazing and made sure every last detail was coordinated so that we did not need to worry in the slightest on the day of. She is beyond thoughtful and put so much care into making sure our day was perfect (even despite a last minute move to an indoor ceremony). Nothing missed a beat. Our guests told us countless times during and after the wedding that it was the best wedding they had every been to, that it was the best wedding food they had ever been to and they couldn't stop raving about Greenport and the Halyard. There is not enough space to say all the wonderful things about the staff and the venue that I would like to, but my husband and I could not recommend the Halyard more. It was a perfect day!

Hosting our wedding at The Halyard was absolutely the best decision we could have made. From the beautiful setting and ceremony on the beach to the top-quality food and drinks, kind and helpful service, and a sunset that was out of this world, The Halyard made our day so special, not only for us but as a vacation for all our guests, with many traveling from California commenting that it felt like they were in Hawaii. Caroline was also a pleasure to work with. Her amazing taste, problem-solving attitude, and attention to detail brought our thousands of email chains to life to make everything perfect. She even added beautiful touches that I never would have thought of. Considering the beauty of the location and the quality of the food, The Halyard is also reasonably priced. I liked that there was a very low minimum so I didn't have to worry about not having enough guests. In the end, we had ~130 people, which was perfect for the space that was intimate yet spacious—the perfect balance to keep everyone on the dance floor all night long or chatting outside on the deck when they needed a break. The Halyard knocks it out of the park and is a must-go for when you are in the Greenport area. We would highly recommend them for ANY event, wedding, dinner, or even just a drink to take in the scene.

My (now!!) husband and I were wed at The Halyard on December 4th. The day was absolutely fantastic. Guests were raving about the food, the view, and impressed with the overall aesthetic. Many of our guests even said that this was the best wedding they have ever attended!! Lastly, I cannot say enough good things about Caroline. She was AMAZING, absolutely FANTASTIC, to say the least. My husband and I were so impressed with her knowledge, kindness, and graciousness. Thank you so much, Caroline and staff, our day was truly a dream. It was everything that we imagined and more!

After visiting The Haylard a few years back, my then-girlfiend and I decided that this was the place where we would eventually get married. Fast-forward a couple of years, and we made it happen. And when I say "we", I am not just referring to my wife and I. Everyone on staff helped to make our day truly perfect. Rosanna helped us plan out the day, ironing out the smallest of details. Stephen, The Halyard's chef, was there to walk us through dozens of delicious potential menu items during our tasting. And last, but definitely not least, Caroline! After our initial conversation with Caroline, we knew we were in good hands. And after meeting at our food and beverage tasting, walking and talking through the day with her, her care and attention to all aspects of our wedding (including many details that I'm assuming do not normally fall within her job description) made us feel certain that everything about our day would be flawless. And it was! We are still getting compliments from friends and relatives about the venue, the food, and the staff. Even the family members who complain about EVERYTHING (they know who they are) were delighted with every aspect of the wedding. We cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue, the wonderful staff, and the food and drink!

We had our wedding here this September, and we have only good things to say about working with the Halyard. Because of this year's circumstances, there were obviously many things that had to change about our wedding - mainly, our guest count and safety measures to be taken. Despite those obstacles, we were still able to have our intimate wedding with the help of the most lovely team in our favorite place - Greenport. The scenery and aesthetic of the venue is so breathtaking, it doesn't even need much decoration. Our event coordinator, Caroline, went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our wedding was perfect and that everything went seamlessly. The chef was so involved in the food, so devoted to seasonality and local ingredients, and tailored our menu to our exact tastes. They say you never eat at your wedding, but we might have eaten too much, and it was all delicious (seriously, nobody could stop talking about it). Our smaller wedding turned out better than we could have ever imagined. We got to celebrate with our closest family and friends, enjoy amazing food and each other's company, and it will be a day we cherish for the rest of our lives. Have your wedding here - you're in the best hands!

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Soundview Restaurant and could not have had a more lovely time or experience. Rachel and Michelle were incredibly helpful and kind, the perfect hosts! We had a plated dinner with 3 entree choices. There were 25 of us and we were seated in the "red room" where all of the windows looked out on the Long Island Sound. The night we were there, a fiery sunset made the dinner a magical experience for our friends and family. I couldn't think of a better place to have a rehearsal dinner on the North Fork. Everyone loved the food and beverages too!

We had the most beautiful rehearsal dinner at the Halyard. Caroline was a joy to work with and made our evening so special. She was there the entire time, making sure everything went smoothly. Our guests are still raving about the food and the beautiful atmosphere. There wasn't one hiccup, and if there was I as the bride didn't even notice!
Caroline also went above and beyond for us. When asked to help pass out favors to our guests in memory of a family member, she responded so kindly and with a strong willingness to help. I will always remember how wonderfully she responded.

If you are looking to book a rehearsal dinner here, do it! The library COMFORTABLY fit 50 of us and the food and service was top notch.
