My Husband and I are wedding industry professionals and did not want a venue that does 2+ weddings a weekend and treats couples like just another number. We also wanted a venue that would be kind to our vendors and comfortable for everyone to stay on-site if they wanted to. We knew almost immediately that our wedding would be personalized and we could count on The Hampton Maid to give us their time and attention for the weekend. Nikoleta replied almost immediately to my inquiry and was so kind and helpful with my initial questions. She made the process easy and fun and it didn’t take long to decide on The Hampton Maid, site unseen! Once they were open for the season we went out to R.Aire for a tasting with Chef Alex. We were treated so well and given the best meal of our lives (and we are foodies!) and they surprised us with a wine pairing as well.
Leading up to the wedding, Nikoleta helped connect us with vendors who she enjoys working with and we are so glad we took her recommendations. She worked together well with all of our vendors and it felt like we had a family of people who actually cared about our wedding.
The rooms were so comfortable for everyone who stayed. We stayed in one of the newer suites but our families and friends stayed in the standard rooms and all spoke so highly of the comfort and style of their rooms. HM was accommodating to guests arriving from the airport and even allowed some early checkins and late checkouts.
The grounds are STUNNING. We found so many hidden places to take photos. The ceremony was beautiful and convenient, as we walked right out of a nearby room to walk down the aisle. The dining areas made our reception feel like we were at an intimate dinner party with our favorite people. We danced out in the garden patio and it was PERFECT. Our florist (Roses and Rice, recommended by Nikoleta) lined the existing cafe lights with greenery and turned the patio into a dream. We moved indoors for the after party and the bar is so cute and chic and they let us sit on the bar for some silly end of night party photos.
We celebrated with a farewell brunch on Sunday and the food was AMAZING. I can’t stop thinking about my blueberry pancakes and my hard to please uncle said that the gravy on his biscuits was the best he’s ever had.
I could go on and on about how wonderful and special our weekend was, but I can sum it up by telling you to BOOK YOUR WEDDING HERE if you’re looking to steer away from the normal ballroom/wedding mill vibes that overpower the industry. You won’t regret it!!
