About
In 1985, a young man named Adam picked up an alto saxophone and began playing one note at a time. Soon those notes became songs and the songs turned to solos. Almost 30 years later, that young (well not so young anymore) man is now leading the SMS Jazz Project with the help of his father, Stan, on keyboards. Father and son bring over 50 years of gigging experience from weddings, nightclubs, bars, colleges, festivals, bar-mitzvahs, parades, corporate events, birthdays and pretty much any event that has music.
Specializing in the sounds of cocktail hour jazz, the SMS Jazz Project can take your event to the next level with a smooth but classy blend of standards and hard bop jazz. Performing works by Herbie Hancock, Sonny Rollins, Horace Silver, John Coltrane and more, the Project can liven up any occasion and add a touch of class. Ask us about any songs you’d love to hear, we’ll make it happen!
We also offer wedding ceremony music with solo piano/keyboard or as a duo with piano and sax/flute.
Based in the Boston area, the Project is available for weddings, cocktail parties, birthdays, and any celebration you could imagine!
