We had the absolute pleasure of working with Sixteenfourteen Events for our wedding, and we can confidently say they were one of the best decisions we made. From full-service planning, vendor management, to day-of coordination, this team—especially our lead planner Renee and designer Jojo—went above and beyond every step of the way.

What stood out the most was how deeply they cared about us and our wedding. On the wedding day, we fully trusted them to run the show, and because of that, we got to relax, eat, dance, and actually enjoy every moment of our night—something we know many couples don’t get to say. Our guests even complimented how smooth and organized everything felt!
The run-of-show was flawlessly executed, and the team handled everything seamlessly.

Throughout the planning journey, they kept us on track with monthly checklists, shared timelines through Google Docs, and used Slack to make communication clear and efficient. As someone who’s naturally indecisive, I truly appreciated their patience and guidance throughout all the big (and small) decisions. They communicated with all our vendors, scheduled meetings, and lifted so much weight off our shoulders.

But the most emotional part for me was seeing our elegant Filipiniana vision come to life. There were so many cultural details we dreamed of incorporating but weren’t sure were even possible. Renee, Jojo, and the Sixteenfourteen team brought them to reality in the most stunning way. I cried when I saw the venue—it was more than we ever imagined.

Finances are usually something that stops people (we hesitated too!) from booking a planner because we think that we can do it our selves or task friends and family. But honestly with our busy schedules it was worth every penny. We got to enjoy our engagement year and also kept our friends and family stress free on top of it. It’s so worth it.

We couldn’t be happier with the service we received from Michelle, Jojo and SixteenFourteen Events! From the start, they were incredibly friendly and approachable, making the planning process both enjoyable and stress-free. They brought so many beautiful design ideas to the table and helped us craft a solid schedule for our long and special day, which included a smaller private ceremony and a larger public celebration.

What truly stood out was how much effort they put into balancing our budget while ensuring we still had the elements that mattered most to us. One especially meaningful example was the wedding cake. We had hoped to serve a fruit tart because it marked the start of our journey together, but it wasn’t feasible within our budget for 200 guests. Instead of letting it go entirely, they surprised us with a small fruit tart for the cake-cutting portion of the evening, alongside a more budget-friendly cake for everyone else.

This thoughtful gesture showed how deeply they understood and cared about what was important to us. It wasn’t just about planning a wedding—it was about creating a day that truly reflected who we are as a couple. Their creativity, organization, and dedication made our wedding everything we dreamed of and more. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

My husband and I got married in June of this year and seriously could not have gotten through the weekend without SixteenFourteen Events! As you can tell this review is long overdue.

We were referred to SFE by our DJ Raffy from Bilo Events. From the first meeting with founder Jojo we knew that this would be the perfect partnership - my husband and I didn't begin inquiring for a coordinator until about 6 weeks before the wedding but SFE delivered! Jojo worked with us and our budget and we couldn't be happier with being matched with Xala for our wedding. Throughout the next few weeks after signing our contract, we had a couple of planning calls via Google Meet and a final run through with vendors, but Xala was always available via text/email/phone call. Planning felt seamless!

Now for the main event - Xala and Michelle (assistant to Xala for the wedding): I probably would have died without them!!! They were onsite for the rehearsal which was quick and as easy as could be when you consider having to guide your family. On the wedding day I forgot something major in my rental order and Xala and Michelle worked their butts off most of the morning to solve it - when they say things go wrong please believe it! But they made sure all I had to worry about was getting ready. With getting married in Indio in June, SFE dealt with family woes, forgotten rentals, set up, vendor struggles etc all while in 100+ degree heat. Xala and Michelle are true rockstars - you NEED to hire SFE for your next event!

Even though we only knew each other for a few weeks, I truly felt like Xala became family and she understood all of the stress, excitement and all the other million feelings you go through when planning an event as huge and personal as a wedding. Xala's work ethic and personality helped us easily build a lot of trust with her and SFE. Her communication with not only us but the vendors and family/friends at the rehearsal, wedding, and post wedding was impeccable. Last but not least, we threw several curveballs and last minute changes (as any bride and groom would, regrettably) however Xala was more than willing to roll with the punches, deliver on all of our requests, and exceeded our expectations. I'm so happy to have had her and Michelle that day - they made it so that my husband and I could enjoy the most important day of our lives. 12/10 recommend !!!!!! We luv u Xala

Wow!! All I can say is blown away! I went into this whole wedding planning thing thinking I didn’t need much help and I could do a lot on my own and boy was I wrong. Let me just start by saying if you need an event planner look no further. Jojo and the team exceeded our expectations. From the moment we started working together I was impressed and on our wedding day, the whole event turned out better than expected!!! We chose 1614 because of their affiliation with the venue, they know the in’s and outs and have done several events there.
They also came highly recommended from Ashton the rep at The Majestic. Jojo and the team were always available for anything we needed which is super important for brides, not to mention their vendor recommendations.
We were going to go with a very expensive lighting and draping company and it was not necessary. Jojo set us up with an amazing team and they were terrific and not over priced. All of the things I was worried about I wish I would have just left it alone and trusted the process. You are in good hands with this team, my family was even impressed with the run of the show and all the detail that was given to our event. I would work with this team 1000 times over. I'm writing this review not only as a Client Bride but also as a Venue Partner. I'm the Director at The Majestic Downtown, which is one of the top Wedding Venues in LA. I met Jojo a few years ago while working together for a previous client's wedding. I was blown away by her charismatic, easy going, and sweet personality. She's just beautiful on the inside and out. I meticulously sought after Sixteen Fourteen Events when I was planning my own wedding and let me tell you...THEY GAVE ME A DREAM WEDDING!

There's no words to express how incredibly happy my husband and I are and how grateful we are that we had Jojo and her entire team - Noelle, Tesia, Erik, Michelle, and Edmund. I can go on and on about what made our special day so PERFECT because there's endless reasons why. The SFE Team tended to our every need. There wasn't one single thing that I wanted/needed because every moment was true perfection. With myself being in the wedding/events industry, I wasn't the easiest bride because I wanted to constantly be in "work mode". Every single time SFE saw me flip a switch into work mode, they ever so gently would say, "Ashton, don't worry, we got this.", "It's been done.", "We took care of it." "Yes, we'll get that for you asap" "No problem Ashton we'll get that done." It was absolutely mind blowing to myself, my husband, our family, and our friends how smooth our day went.

They also designed and hand crafted my gorgeous table numbers and place card settings which were gold mirrored and personalized with each guest's named etched into the gold. My guests were blown away and it was the perfect keepsake! Not only was the venue and decor setup to perfection but they went out of their way to capture the most special moments. Several days after my wedding, Jojo sent me a Google Gallery and an iCloud gallery with TONS of videos that her team was able to capture behind the scenes throughout the night. That gesture meant more to me than anything so THANK YOU JOJO! Looking back at the video footage, I could see for myself the SFE Team working hard, running around, and getting my guests hyped over each special moment throughout the night.

As you can imagine, wedding planning is no easy task, even for a seasoned professional but SFE went above and beyond to make sure my day was beautiful, memorable, perfect, and FUN! If you're in search for a Wedding Planner, do yourself a favor and HIRE SIXTEEN FOURTEEN EVENTS! You will not regret it because they are simply THE BEST.

Jojo and the team at SixteenFourteen Events, LOVE what they do and their passion is truly what sets them apart. We met with Jojo in early 2019 and hired SFE for our wedding scheduled for May 16, 2020. Needless to say, we had to postpone/reschedule 3 times due to the pandemic. We also lost our original venue – so when I say SFE saved our wedding, Jojo came in clutch (!) and found the perfect venue for us. She was in constant contact with me throughout the whole journey and accommodating to all my brainstorming calls/texts, (at times, near breakdowns!) and very responsive to our emails.

Jojo’s creativity, her attention to the smallest details, and her organizational/problem-solving talents enabled her team to execute our wedding vision and made it a reality.

Our guests are still talking about how enjoyable and beautiful our special day was, even months later. We had a whole process and criteria when looking for the perfect planner and we were so excited after finding Jojo. From the get go, she was warm, welcoming, professional and attentive. Her presence didn't just come across as a planner handling the most important day of our lives; but more so, a friend who truly cared about us as a couple and as individuals to fully carry out all the fine details and things we felt were most important to us.

There is so much to say about how much we love Jojo. Because of my type A personality, Jojo was able to handle me as a person and as a bride. She was attentive to all my questions and ideas and was organized with every thought I blurted out to her. She was more than just responsive, she was AVAILABLE; anytime I thought of something or an issue would arise, I literally would either shoot her a text or give her a call and boom, problem solved. She captured our vision entirely; from the online website invitation, to the table numbers, to the musician selection, flowers and more! She thought of EVERYTHING and made it all happen in this crazy year we call 2020.

WE DID IT ALL DURING COVID! We are so proud to have thrown a successfully safe wedding during this uncertain time. We collectively thought of all the details, from individually wrapped masks, to hand sanitizing stations, to single use pens (for Photobooth), to individually packaged food items (to eliminate service contact), and separating tables and seats by households more than 8 feet apart. AND she made it all happen in the span of 2 months! When we finally made the decision to pull through with a wedding in 2020, we set the date and left it to Jojo to plan a safe, beautifully creative wedding in only 2 months time. She handled moving all our contracts with all of our vendors (some whom we kept and some whom we had to let go). She coordinated all of our zoom video meetings and even surprised us with a table mock-up at the end with our florist!

If you're looking for a planner who will create the wedding of your dreams and turn it into your reality, Jojo from SFE is the way to go. 15/10 would recommend and 1000% would work with her again for any future events.

I worked with Jojo for Betania and Manny's wedding, and everything went so smoothly! Not only is Jojo great at her job, she's also a calming presence on a wedding day. While she's welcoming in vendors and making sure everything is on time, she's also checking in with bride/groom AND vendors to make sure they are doing well. From the moment I met Jojo, I knew I wanted to have her team take care of our day-of coordination. You can tell Jojo really loves her job and she was always willing to answer any questions we had throughout the planning process. Wedding budgets can be tight, but Jojo was kind enough to do her best to work within our budget.
