About
Eva Salomon Geiger , a.k.a. Siren Cake Studio, first fell in love with cake while spending a semester in college at the Marchutz School of Painting in France. Instead of spending extra time in the studio, she spent her days exploring the patisseries that lined every street. Her art from that point forward had a continuous theme: food.
After graduating with a degree in sculpture and edible-art history, she enrolled at the prestigious French Pastry School, in Chicago. From the world-renowned faculty she learned the art of patisserie: from ice cream and petits fours to bread and chocolates.
It quickly became clear that her talents lay in cake decorating, where art and dessert combine. From there she went on to work with some of the finest cake designers in Chicago, including Mary Winslow of Take the Cake and Food Network Challenge winners Sarah Levy and The Cakegirls.
During her time in Chicago, Eva also trained at the Wilton School of Decorating and completed the French Pastry School's decorator certification program with honors. These classes were instructed by some of her cake heroes including Colette Peters, Nicholas Lodge, and Mark Seaman.
Eva has since returned to her native New England. Inspired by the beauty of the Maine Coast and the quality of the Portland food scene, she continues to create sinfully delicious cakes in beautiful custom designs.
