Kim was INCREDIBLE! So much so, that my best friend/maid of honor actually left that weekend convinced that she needed to hire one for her own wedding instead of risking it on her own! Kim was thorough, dedicated to making the day fit our needs, super reliable and responsive and overall just simply wonderful to work with.

Kim might have magical powers! She seemed to be able to control the weather for our wedding day, as well as every other little detail. I knew that planning a Tucson wedding from Chicago would require a little outside help and Kim came highly recommended via WW and our venue. Her help and expertise were invaluable. She knew our vendors, was able to get quick responses and was always on the ball no matter what the issue. I know that she is very busy, but she always made us feel that we were the first priority. Her Mary Poppins tackle box came in handy the day of whether it was chalk for a stain on my dress, double stick tape, fishing wire, you name it! If I live in Tucson, Kim would be planning all my life events. Could not recommend more highly!

I truly can not say enough about the kind, friendly, compassionate people that make up Simply Elegant Events. We were very hesitant to hire a wedding planner, we were confident that we could do it all on our own. Once meeting with Kim and her amazing staff, we QUICKLY realized we were extremely wrong. The outcome of our wedding was a dream come true and they deserve the credit for making that happen. I would recommend them to any friends/family in a heart beat!

My daughter was married in Tucson in April 2015. She works in MI, and I live in Houston and was planning to handle everything on my own, being very organized/detail-oriented. It became evident that my lack of familiarity with Tucson vendors put me in an uncomfortable position in making those decisions. At the recommendation of the hotel catering manager, I engaged Simply Elegant Events. Hiring Kim McFate was the BEST DECISION that we made for this wedding. Kim did much more than what the "partial planning" package entailed, and I had to actually ask her to bill me more for additional services. From our first phone conversation to the last detail, Kim was professional, calming, friendly, flexible, responsive and helpful. In addition to dispensing excellent advice, coordinating and communicating with all of the vendors, scheduling meetings, answering daily emails, housing shipped items for weeks, putting together 65 welcome bags, etc., Kim navigated us through several awkward situations with grace and finesse. The wedding was an intricate affair involving guests/traditions from several countries. Kim coordinated the ceremony and reception beautifully, keeping everything flowing seamlessly at a perfect pace. She was even available to receive and care for a package of butterflies for a butterfly release! Kim helped put together a "rock star" group of vendors and also helped with advice for the bridal brunch and rehearsal dinner. Her responsiveness to emails/phone calls was incredibly quick, and the value of her services amazing. I could continue with high praise indefinitely, but I will close with saying that in addition to being just an exceptional planner, Kim became a friend to all of us. She listened to me vent throughout the process and was the ultimate problem-solver. Personally, I hope to keep in touch with Kim for years to come and I will never be able to adequately thank her for making the "wedding of our dreams" a reality!

We hired Kim for the day of coordination - Best decision for planning a wedding! She was so much more than what we had expected for a planner. She is the most responsive wedding vendor we had (which really helps with the nerves), incredibly organized and a pleasure to speak to. She was able to take a lot of our ideas and bring them together plus recommend other vendors that would help with our vision. About two weeks before the wedding was when I was VERY glad we chose to hire Kim! It was great to have someone outside close friends and family to ask help from and I was so relaxed knowing Kim had thought of all the last minute details, would make sure all was setup and had already organized the timeline of the evening. I would definitely recommend her to any bride I know!

Kim & Simply Elegant Events has run our event planning and logistics for our largest fundraiser (2,000+ people) for the past 3 years. Through her contacts, we have save thousands of dollars over the years on vendors and services, and her outstanding organization skills have made every event day run smoothly and on time! Wow! Kim is by far the best thing that ever happened to our holiday party. She is incredibly efficient, responsive, professional and AWESOME! Our guests have been raving that this was our best holiday party EVER and I couldn't agree more. I never imagined a 'wedding planner' would have been within our budget. My only knowledge of wedding planners was Jennifer Lopez...! I met Kim at a bridal fair in Tucson a few months before moving out of state. I had already selected a venue but quickly realized I needed someone (outside of the coordinator at our venue!) to help me get organized and work out the details of our big day. I contacted Kim and we decided the 'Day of' package would be our best fit. It was extremely helpful to have Kim's support with communicating with vendors and others involved to confirm times, deliveries, timeline, set up, etc. Had we not went with her services, I would have had to track down all of these people individually the week and day of our wedding.

Kim is an absolute delight to work with and truly helped the vision of our wedding day come alive. I was indecisive about a few things ...ha! and Kim was patient with me through the whole process. Kim is extremely organized, prompt, detail oriented, professional and gets things done! She provided great suggestions and referrals to other vendors. On our wedding day, we were able to cherish every moment together with our family and friends because of the peace of mind Kim provided. Hiring Kim as our wedding coordinator was one of the best decisions we made! Planning a destination wedding proved to be a challenge, but my concerns were quickly eliminated as soon as we met Kim.
