Chris was so amazing to work with. Made everything so much fun. Even made my uncle smile which can be a difficult task! If you're going to splurge on something, definitely make it the thing that will last forever - the photos! We have only seen a few of our photos so far.. but if its any indication of whats to come, then he was better than we expected.

My husband and I first met Chris at my sister in law’s wedding. We weren’t even engaged at the time, but we knew right then that we wanted Chris to photograph our eventual wedding! We couldn’t be more happy with our choice. He did every bit as great of a job for our wedding as he did for my sister in law’s. He was even willing to travel to Phoenix, even though he’s based out of Tucson. Chris is clearly a professional who has been doing this for a while. He always does a great job getting you to relax and have fun during what can otherwise be some awkward posed photos. He was very conscious of the family dynamic, and made sure he got every shot we wanted—not that we needed to ask for much, because he was already so on top of it! He arrived well ahead of time and got right to work, knowing exactly what to shoot and when. We opted to do a “first look” and got all of our bridal party and family photos done before the ceremony (which was a huge time relief for us after the ceremony, as my husband and I got some time alone during our final photos after the ceremony), so he and his assistant were on their feet (or knees or stomachs or sides…they do whatever it takes to get the right angle!) for probably about ten hours. In my experience, the photographer really runs the day at a wedding, and I knew we were in good hands with Chris! We got a lot of compliments from our guests, and if our engagement photos are anything to go on, I know we’ll get a lot of amazing shots out of it!

My wife and I first hired Chris to shoot our engagement photos. Within minutes of meeting him, he put us at ease with his laid back demeanor and friendliness. He has a great eye for framing shots and does an excellent job of making them seem organic while also paying thorough attention to detail. He captured not only our interpersonal dynamic but also the character and beauty of Tucson in his photos. We had such a great experience with Chris the first time that we enthusiastically hired him to take photos of our wedding. Again, we were so impressed with his work and thankful that he is such a master of his craft. We thought of Chris as a member of our wedding party and are honored to call him a friend. It is impossible to recommend him highly enough!

Chris Richards is the absolute best!!! We could not have been happier with our choice to have him photograph our wedding! We scheduled an engagement session with him several months before our wedding, which was so helpful in letting us get to know Chris and see how wonderful he is! He asked us right up front what we liked and did not like and what we were hoping to have our photos reflect about us and our relationship. He took us all over the Tucson Barrio, finding beautiful and unique spots for photos, giving us helpful and gentle feedback for posing, and telling us about Tucson history along the way. Chris made us feel very comfortable throughout the whole shoot and kept us laughing. We absolutely loved how our engagement pictures turned out! We could not have imagined things could get better from there...but they did! Chris surprised us and showed up at the rehearsal to get candid shots and to get to know our family and wedding party members. When the wedding day came, we felt so comfortable with him, which made our photos even more natural. He was such a calming presence on the busy day and helped keep things feeling light when they could have become stressful. Our family and friends loved Chris as much as we did and are still commenting on how awesome he is months later! He was present enough that everyone felt like they bonded with him, but discreet enough that he was not intrusive. He achieved the perfect balance! He went above and beyond - even climbing up on the roof of our venue at sunset to capture gorgeous pictures of the reception. Our wedding pictures were so much better than we even hoped they would be! They captured every moment that we hoped would be captured and they reflected everyone's best! We will always cherish the photos Chris Richards took and will be forever grateful for his professionalism, dedication, artistry, and support!

Chris is charming, and will coax the most beautiful pictures out of you and your soon-to-be. He is worth his weight in gold and is an absolute pleasure to work with. For years, I thought of myself as not being photogenic. Turns out we just needed Chris to make us laugh our tails off and embrace our inner sexy bitches.

I don't even know where to start. Chris was perfect, cordial, professional, talented, humorous. We interviewed 4 highly recommended photographers for our wedding. Chris was the fourth and was hands down the perfect match for us. We were surprised to find he was also the most affordable. He invited us to his home studio for an interview. He was the only photographer that asked us questions about how we met, what we like doing together, hobbies, etc. He really took the time to get to know us to see how to best capture our relationship. Next, he was the only photographer who when asked what he would wear to the ceremony, responded with "what would you like me to wear." I know this seems like a minor detail, but this is exactly my point. Chris focuses on everything, down to the smallest detail. On the day of our wedding he came early and stayed late. He did not let anyone influence how much time he was taking to capture each moment.
That being said, he works fast. I have no idea how many pictures he took, but it seemed like a million. My guests commented on how quick, painless and FUN the pictures were. He captured the most wanted shots as well as the unexpected/unscripted. We could not have asked for more and would hire him again in a heartbeat.

if you're looking for an easygoing and flexible photographer, chris richards is your man. he photographed our wedding (and our two engagement sessions) and he was so prepared and accommodating, allowing us the freedom to enjoy the day without having to worry about anything. his energy was unflagging; he worked with us for over ten hours without complaint, taking amazing photos the whole time! his photographs truly captured the joy and love that my wife and i felt, and his pictures are something we will cherish for years to come.

Chris is an incredible photographer! He was able to put up a slide show of pictures from before / during / after the ceremony at the reception. Everyone was amazed at the quality of his pictures. HIs cost is on the higher side, but what you are getting is the best with Chris.

I would highly recommend Chris Richards for your wedding, or any other special event. He did an outstanding job and took the most gorgeous engagement and wedding photos for my husband and I last year. He went out of his way to shoot our engagement photos in Sabino Canyon!

My wife and I were very happy with the ideas and professional manner Chris used to make our wedding day photos beautiful and unique to us. Chris has a trained eye to capture what we normally take for granted. Our outdoor wedding location had a rainbow and the Santa Catalina mountains during sunset as a backdrop and Chris was able to capture dramatic images with the wedding party our family and friend's.
