Chris was so amazing to work with. Made everything so much fun. Even made my uncle smile which can be a difficult task! If you're going to splurge on something, definitely make it the thing that will last forever - the photos! We have only seen a few of our photos so far.. but if its any indication of whats to come, then he was better than we expected.Chris was so amazing to work with. Made everything so much fun. Chris Richards is the absolute best!!! We could not have been happier with our choice to have him photograph our wedding! We scheduled an engagement session with him several months before our wedding, which was so helpful in letting us get to know Chris and see how wonderful he is! He asked us right up front what we liked and did not like and what we were hoping to have our photos reflect about us and our relationship. He took us all over the Tucson Barrio, finding beautiful and unique spots for photos, giving us helpful and gentle feedback for posing, and telling us about Tucson history along the way. Chris made us feel very comfortable throughout the whole shoot and kept us laughing. We absolutely loved how our engagement pictures turned out! We could not have imagined things could get better from there...but they did! Chris surprised us and showed up at the rehearsal to get candid shots and to get to know our family and wedding party members. When the wedding day came, we felt so comfortable with him, which made our photos even more natural. He was such a calming presence on the busy day and helped keep things feeling light when they could have become stressful. Our family and friends loved Chris as much as we did and are still commenting on how awesome he is months later! He was present enough that everyone felt like they bonded with him, but discreet enough that he was not intrusive. He achieved the perfect balance! He went above and beyond - even climbing up on the roof of our venue at sunset to capture gorgeous pictures of the reception. Our wedding pictures were so much better than we even hoped they would be! They captured every moment that we hoped would be captured and they reflected everyone's best! We will always cherish the photos Chris Richards took and will be forever grateful for his professionalism, dedication, artistry, and support!Chris Richards is the absolute best!!! My husband and I first met Chris at my sister in law’s wedding. We weren’t even engaged at the time, but we knew right then that we wanted Chris to photograph our eventual wedding! We couldn’t be more happy with our choice. He did every bit as great of a job for our wedding as he did for my sister in law’s. He was even willing to travel to Phoenix, even though he’s based out of Tucson. Chris is clearly a professional who has been doing this for a while. He always does a great job getting you to relax and have fun during what can otherwise be some awkward posed photos. He was very conscious of the family dynamic, and made sure he got every shot we wanted—not that we needed to ask for much, because he was already so on top of it! He arrived well ahead of time and got right to work, knowing exactly what to shoot and when. We opted to do a “first look” and got all of our bridal party and family photos done before the ceremony (which was a huge time relief for us after the ceremony, as my husband and I got some time alone during our final photos after the ceremony), so he and his assistant were on their feet (or knees or stomachs or sides…they do whatever it takes to get the right angle!) for probably about ten hours. In my experience, the photographer really runs the day at a wedding, and I knew we were in good hands with Chris! We got a lot of compliments from our guests, and if our engagement photos are anything to go on, I know we’ll get a lot of amazing shots out of it!My husband and I first met Chris at my sister in law’s wedding. My wife and I first hired Chris to shoot our engagement photos. Within minutes of meeting him, he put us at ease with his laid back demeanor and friendliness. He has a great eye for framing shots and does an excellent job of making them seem organic while also paying thorough attention to detail. He captured not only our interpersonal dynamic but also the character and beauty of Tucson in his photos. We had such a great experience with Chris the first time that we enthusiastically hired him to take photos of our wedding. Again, we were so impressed with his work and thankful that he is such a master of his craft. We thought of Chris as a member of our wedding party and are honored to call him a friend. I don't even know where to start. Chris was perfect, cordial, professional, talented, humorous. We interviewed 4 highly recommended photographers for our wedding. Chris was the fourth and was hands down the perfect match for us. We were surprised to find he was also the most affordable. He invited us to his home studio for an interview. He was the only photographer that asked us questions about how we met, what we like doing together, hobbies, etc. He really took the time to get to know us to see how to best capture our relationship. Next, he was the only photographer who when asked what he would wear to the ceremony, responded with "what would you like me to wear." I know this seems like a minor detail, but this is exactly my point. Chris focuses on everything, down to the smallest detail. On the day of our wedding he came early and stayed late. He did not let anyone influence how much time he was taking to capture each moment.
That being said, he works fast. I have no idea how many pictures he took, but it seemed like a million. My guests commented on how quick, painless and FUN the pictures were. He captured the most wanted shots as well as the unexpected/unscripted. We could not have asked for more and would hire him again in a heartbeat.I don't even know where to start. Chris is an incredible photographer! He was able to put up a slide show of pictures from before / during / after the ceremony at the reception. Everyone was amazed at the quality of his pictures. if you're looking for an easygoing and flexible photographer, chris richards is your man. he photographed our wedding (and our two engagement sessions) and he was so prepared and accommodating, allowing us the freedom to enjoy the day without having to worry about anything. his energy was unflagging; he worked with us for over ten hours without complaint, taking amazing photos the whole time! his photographs truly captured the joy and love that my wife and i felt, and his pictures are something we will cherish for years to come.

When I walked out of my first meeting with Chris Richards I immediately called my husband (!) and told him I'd found our photographer. He was skeptical since Chris was the first photographer I met with, but once the three of us sat down together, he totally agreed: Chris is amazing. We ended up having two engagement photo session shoots, because my husband and I were a hot mess the first time, but Chris never made us feel bad about it -- instead, he was flexible and understanding. On the day of our wedding, Chris made everyone felt at ease and was amazing to work with. He even set up a computer so that our guests could see some of the photos from earlier in the day -- and the pictures were amazing! Everyone in the Tucson wedding industry knows Chris and loves him; over and over I heard that he's the best photographer in Tucson, and I'd have to agree! I met Chris at my brother in law's wedding. My husband and I weren't even engaged yet, but I knew then and there that Chris would be my wedding photographer!
Chris took our engagement photos. My husband and I thought it would be a good idea to use our two dogs in them. Although it was incredibly hard to keep their attention at the park, Chris made the most hilarious sounds just to get them to look at the him! It worked, the pictures were perfect.
Our wedding was three months after I had given birth to our son and i did not feel like a beautiful bride, but Chris took the most remarkable pictures I've ever seen. He really knew how to capture the moments between my husband and I that looked spontaneous and natural. He knew how to bring out the fantastic silliness in everyone. Chris understands how to use the light, scenery and angle to get extraordinary shots! I would highly recommend Chris Richards for your wedding, or any other special event. He did an outstanding job and took the most gorgeous engagement and wedding photos for my husband and I last year. He went out of his way to shoot our engagement photos in Sabino Canyon!

I would highly recommend Chris Richards Photography to capture the essence of your wedding. My wife and I were very happy with the ideas and professional manner Chris used to make our wedding day photos beautiful and unique to us. Chris has a trained eye to capture what we normally take for granted. Our outdoor wedding location had a rainbow and the Santa Catalina mountains during sunset as a backdrop and Chris was able to capture dramatic images with the wedding party our family and friend's. Chris also has a great eye for putting together your wedding album. If you are looking for a friendly photographer with a five star rating, you just found him!

Chris was the most amazing person to work with for my wedding. We asked him to travel to our wedding in San Diego, and while there are many good photographers in the area, I would not have had it any other way. He photographed my brother’s wedding in 2009 and did such an amazing job then that I knew I could trust to do the same for mine. He is truly a talented photographer and he captured every moment of our wedding perfectly. His personality is one that makes you feel comfortable and ready to be in front of the camera. He is genuine and funny, makes you laugh all through pictures and seamlessly blends into the day. The photos that he captured from our wedding are outstanding. They are incredibly beautiful and he has that amazing talent of capturing people in the moment. He was even able to make my usually camera shy husband shine. My wife and I had a fantastic experience with Chris from start to finish! He takes the time to capture all the right moments. In fact, at one point our shuttle got stuck on route to our photo shoot and he and his assistant hoofed it to make it in time for sundown. Just hire him! You won’t find a better wedding photographer (or a photographer in general) that will so seamlessly fit into your day and leave you with artful and poignant images of your celebration. Chris was completely unobtrusive and relaxed- the perfect presence and attitude amidst the high energy of the wedding. Most of the incredible photos we received left us wondering when and how exactly he managed to capture the moment. Most importantly, the photos that will live on with us perfectly caught the happiest and most genuine pieces of ourselves. Believe me, this is what (and who) you are looking for. THE.BEST.EVER. As someone else wrote, just hire him. So easy to work with, non-obtrusive, captures real moments that leave you wondering how it could not have been staged. We met with him and knew he was the one from the moment we sat down with him. We felt as though we had the Best of the Best. He was a part of our wedding, not just a photographer. Captured every moment we hoped for and will remember for the rest of our lives. One of the best things is being able to see pictures from the day during the reception, the guests love it!
So, just hire him. He is absolutely amazing!THE.BEST.EVER. As someone else wrote, just hire him. One word-AMAZING!!! He was the photographer at my bridesmaid's wedding in Tucson-after getting really depressed about the avg costs of photographers in the Bay Area-on a whim I contacted Chris in AZ-His pricing was exceptional and he even offered to shoot our rehearsal/rehearsal dinner. He stayed until the night ended on the night of the wedding (most photographers leave after the cake is cut) and he was able to provide our guests with a short preview of the photos he had taken that day. They are amazing. He was great at getting us to relax and just have fun with it. I can not wait to see all the photos--but he is truly worth looking into whether your wedding is in AZ, CA or any other part of the country! You will not regret it!One word-AMAZING!!! Wow. Chris Richards is a phenomenal wedding photographer! We picked him after seeing him at work at a friend's wedding, and loving the results. He is located in Tucson, but traveled to Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA for our wedding for a fantastic price! His price was actually significantly lower than the local photographers for our venue.
I can't say enough about our photos -- even just from the teasers! Our guests were all very impressed by the slideshow that Chris displayed at the reception of pictures he took before and during the ceremony. He has a fantastic eye for detail, and is a really charismatic, fun person to be around on top of it all!
Photography was a big deal for us, since it's the one thing that will capture our wedding day for years to come. I cannot recommend Chris Richards enough. His style and professionalism is top notch and his photos are beyond incredible. He clearly has an "eye" for capturing the special moments of your wedding and I can't imagine anyone could be disappointed by their photos after booking Chris. A slideshow of photos from before and during the ceremony was set up during the reception and everyone was completely blown away by the quality and energy of the photos.I cannot recommend Chris Richards enough. Words can't express Chris's talent!. He is so much fun to be around. His pictures are full of emotion and creativity. He has such a fun and positive personality and it brought out the best in us and our pictures. I look at my pictures everyday and they give me butterflies because each one takes me back to how I felt that day. Chris is creative, fun, caring, and talented!

We really enjoyed working with Chris. At first my husband and I weren’t planning on doing engagement photos but Chris explained the importance of just experiencing the posing, smiling, etc so that on the day of our wedding the photos would go a lot more seamless. He was right! We are so glad that we did the engagement photos. We had a great time wandering downtown with Chris. He was a good fit for us. He let us be our goofy selves and captured us being us.
Regarding our wedding photos, they were outstanding and have been used in bridal magazines as part of featured articles. I didn’t know we could look so good. I had numerous guests remark how much they enjoyed seeing the ceremony photos at the reception. Everyone was highly complementary and couldn’t believe that they were so captivated by our wedding images. It has been hard narrowing down which photos we want to enlarge because we have numerous to choose from.
We are really glad with our decision to use Chris he did a great job of capturing the fun, loving, crazy, best day of our life with photos. We highly recommend him!
