Kim was INCREDIBLE! So much so, that my best friend/maid of honor actually left that weekend convinced that she needed to hire one for her own wedding instead of risking it on her own! Kim was thorough, dedicated to making the day fit our needs, super reliable and responsive and overall just simply wonderful to work with.Kim was INCREDIBLE! Kim might have magical powers! She seemed to be able to control the weather for our wedding day, as well as every other little detail. I knew that planning a Tucson wedding from Chicago would require a little outside help and Kim came highly recommended via WW and our venue. Her help and expertise were invaluable. She knew our vendors, was able to get quick responses and was always on the ball no matter what the issue. I know that she is very busy, but she always made us feel that we were the first priority. Her Mary Poppins tackle box came in handy the day of whether it was chalk for a stain on my dress, double stick tape, fishing wire, you name it! If I live in Tucson, Kim would be planning all my life events. Could not recommend more highly!Kim might have magical powers! I truly can not say enough about the kind, friendly, compassionate people that make up Simply Elegant Events. We were very hesitant to hire a wedding planner, we were confident that we could do it all on our own. Once meeting with Kim and her amazing staff, we QUICKLY realized we were extremely wrong. The outcome of our wedding was a dream come true and they deserve the credit for making that happen. I would recommend them to any friends/family in a heart beat!I truly can not say enough about the kind, friendly, compassionate people that make up Simply Elegant Events. My daughter was married in Tucson in April 2015. She works in MI, and I live in Houston and was planning to handle everything on my own, being very organized/detail-oriented. It became evident that my lack of familiarity with Tucson vendors put me in an uncomfortable position in making those decisions. At the recommendation of the hotel catering manager, I engaged Simply Elegant Events. Hiring Kim McFate was the BEST DECISION that we made for this wedding. Kim did much more than what the "partial planning" package entailed, and I had to actually ask her to bill me more for additional services. From our first phone conversation to the last detail, Kim was professional, calming, friendly, flexible, responsive and helpful. In addition to dispensing excellent advice, coordinating and communicating with all of the vendors, scheduling meetings, answering daily emails, housing shipped items for weeks, putting together 65 welcome bags, etc., Kim navigated us through several awkward situations with grace and finesse. The wedding was an intricate affair involving guests/traditions from several countries. Kim coordinated the ceremony and reception beautifully, keeping everything flowing seamlessly at a perfect pace. She was even available to receive and care for a package of butterflies for a butterfly release! Kim helped put together a "rock star" group of vendors and also helped with advice for the bridal brunch and rehearsal dinner. Her responsiveness to emails/phone calls was incredibly quick, and the value of her services amazing. I could continue with high praise indefinitely, but I will close with saying that in addition to being just an exceptional planner, Kim became a friend to all of us. She listened to me vent throughout the process and was the ultimate problem-solver. Wow! Kim is by far the best thing that ever happened to our holiday party. She is incredibly efficient, responsive, professional and AWESOME! Our guests have been raving that this was our best holiday party EVER and I couldn't agree more. Her attention to detail and thoughtful creativity are simply unmatched, but what I really loved the most about working with Kim is how calm and relaxed she made me feel, especially on the day of our event. I didn't have to worry about a thing because Kim and her team took great care of all of the details!Wow! Kim is by far the best thing that ever happened to our holiday party. Hiring Kim as our wedding coordinator was one of the best decisions we made! Planning a destination wedding proved to be a challenge, but my concerns were quickly eliminated as soon as we met Kim. Her timely responses, thorough planning and vendor knowledge made our wedding day seamless and beautiful. I never imagined a 'wedding planner' would have been within our budget. My only knowledge of wedding planners was Jennifer Lopez...! I met Kim at a bridal fair in Tucson a few months before moving out of state. I had already selected a venue but quickly realized I needed someone (outside of the coordinator at our venue!) to help me get organized and work out the details of our big day. I contacted Kim and we decided the 'Day of' package would be our best fit. It was extremely helpful to have Kim's support with communicating with vendors and others involved to confirm times, deliveries, timeline, set up, etc. Had we not went with her services, I would have had to track down all of these people individually the week and day of our wedding.
Kim is an absolute delight to work with and truly helped the vision of our wedding day come alive. I was indecisive about a few things ...ha! and Kim was patient with me through the whole process. Kim is extremely organized, prompt, detail oriented, professional and gets things done! She provided great suggestions and referrals to other vendors. On our wedding day, we were able to cherish every moment together with our family and friends because of the peace of mind Kim provided. Hiring Kim as our planner was hands down the best money we invested in our wedding day. Through her contacts, we have save thousands of dollars over the years on vendors and services, and her outstanding organization skills have made every event day run smoothly and on time! She is the most responsive wedding vendor we had (which really helps with the nerves), incredibly organized and a pleasure to speak to. She was able to take a lot of our ideas and bring them together plus recommend other vendors that would help with our vision. About two weeks before the wedding was when I was VERY glad we chose to hire Kim! It was great to have someone outside close friends and family to ask help from and I was so relaxed knowing Kim had thought of all the last minute details, would make sure all was setup and had already organized the timeline of the evening. Kim and her team were EXCEPTIONAL!! They took care of our annual fundraiser down to the tiniest detail! It was because of Kim and her team that our Board of Directors was able to concentrate on our guests. We raised more money than previous Gala and by that I mean 5x's the amount we've raised in the past!! Kim and her team made every guest feel as if they were the most important person in the room. We had an ourdoor ceremony with 20 attendants, 2 ushers, a flower girl and ring bearer. Kim handled the rehearsal, seating for 52 special family and friends in the first 4 rows, directed the ushers in seating 160 guests, organized the attendants placement on the lawn and provided last minute emergency dress cleaning and fixes. I had no stress because I was confident Kim had everything organized. I was very, very pleased with the result. We had many comments about our beautiful ceremony. Kim guided us through the planning and acted as event coordinator for my daughter's wedding, allowing both of us to relax and enjoy the day. We met several times beforehand and exchanged emails. Kim was flexible and supportive when we changed venues and approach three months before the wedding, and encouraged us when we had tense moments. She picked up on details we might have missed, connected us with vendors, and prepared us on what costs to expect. Her relationship with vendors and the wedding venue helped to resolve some concerns to my daughter's satisfaction. On the big day, she and her assistant rolled up their sleeves and worked to make sure it all went smoothly; decorations, flowers, and cake table were beautifully set up, wedding party was confident about what they needed to do, and Kim managed all of the timing and vendors. She is creative, experienced, responsive, hard working, calm, and a genuinely nice person to work with on such an important occasion. Our wedding went so smoothly thanks to Kim! We could not have imagined a better execution. As the bride, I really enjoyed the day, day was stress free, I look back on it fondly, and wish I could relive it again (with the same man of course)! We received so many positive feedback from our guests. They expressed how moved they were during the ceremony, and how much fun they had afterwards. Our guests were able to focus and enjoy the essence of our special day and not have it be thwarted by mishaps. Which would likely have happened without Kim our wedding coordinator.
We signed up for the meet-me-in-the middle package, which worked out surprisingly well, especially since we were planning our AZ wedding from Boston!

Hiring Kim, from Simply Elegant Events was the BEST decision my husband and I ever made! We hired Kim for the "Meet Me in the Middle" package and not only did she meet all of our expectations but went above and beyond! We hired her over a year before our wedding and prior to the wedding process beginning she still checked in to see how we were doing. During the wedding process, Kim recommended various vendors that were within our price range, attended vendor meetings if needed, kept us on track with deadlines, coordinated with our vendors (as the wedding day grew closer), and even brought up items we had not even thought of! She made the entire wedding process extremely simple and easy! She is very honest and realistic, prompt in her responses to emails/texts and is also accommodating to your schedule. Kim is very organized and can manage anything you may throw at her with grace and poise! She truly cares about your wedding day and will do everything in her power to make it perfect! Our wedding will forever be a wonderful and sweet memory!!Hiring Kim, from Simply Elegant Events was the BEST decision my husband and I ever made! We hired Kim for the "Meet Me in the Middle" package and not only did she meet all of our expectations but went above and beyond! We hired her over a year before our wedding and prior to the wedding process beginning she still checked in to see how we were doing. During the wedding process, Kim recommended various vendors that were within our price range, attended vendor meetings if needed, kept us on track with deadlines, coordinated with our vendors (as the wedding day grew closer), and even brought up items we had not even thought of! She made the entire wedding process extremely simple and easy! She is very honest and realistic, prompt in her responses to emails/texts and is also accommodating to your schedule. Kim is very organized and can manage anything you may throw at her with grace and poise! She truly cares about your wedding day and will do everything in her power to make it perfect! Kim was FANTASTIC! She was incredibly professional the whole time and really kept us on track for the wedding. Kim was always ready with a resource whether it was flowers, hair and makeup, or whatever. She relieved a lot of the burden off my husband and I and our families by being the contact person for the vendors and by creating a complete wedding day schedule. On the day of we didn't have to worry about a thing because she was on top of it all. She even spent thirty minutes trying to get leaves and dirt out of the train of my dress after pictures. We were able to enjoy our beautiful wedding because of Kim's hard work. She is extremely professional, and her warmth and flexibility make planning a wedding with her so enjoyable! She directed us to great vendors, and offered the best advice regarding what things to look for when choosing a vendor, what prices are fair, and details that we would have never known to ask about. Her services are invaluable when planning a wedding, and we felt so lucky to have her completely run the show so that we (and our parents) could relax and enjoy the event.
During the wedding, Kim completely handled all the vendors (and picked up all the slack when one of them dropped the ball), and orchestrated all the details so that the wedding flowed beautifully. She only involved me when absolutely necessary, so that I was able to enjoy every moment of the evening. We had fantastic, talented vendors -- but having Kim there was what allowed the night to go off without a hitch, and allow the my husband and me (and our families!!) to enjoy the wedding!

She answered all questions immediately, forwarded needed information right away. She gave us needed suggestions. When my daughter needed advise/suggestions/guidance, Kim provided themShe kept us on schedule, and focused. She did all that with warmth and enthusiasm. On the day of the wedding I DID NOT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING. She did it all, she coordinated all. All I had to do is enjoy my daughters wedding, the guests, and myself. Everything went like clockwork - and there was LOTS to coordinate as the wedding was outdoors in a small town. Vendors had to come and go, everything had to be set up.

Our wedding was a not big and was a little non-traditional but she was able to make sure whatever we wanted could happen.
