I had the best experience at Silk Bridal, would absolutely recommend shopping for your wedding dress or bringing items in to get tailored at their in-house tailor Thimble. They also had very transparent and upfront costs for alterations!
Fatima is the sweetest seamstress I’ve ever worked with and made me feel like a queen every time I tried on my dress. She worked with me over and over again until I was truly satisfied and felt beautiful in my dress. I know I could be a tough person to work with so all their guidance and help was truly appreciated! You must go meet with this gem of a seamstress!

The team at Silk made everything so effortless which made my try-on day extremely special! They made us feel welcomed, helped guide me to the perfect dress, and even popped champagne & gave me a parting gift, just for shopping there.

I knew I wanted to go to Silk because they were the only shop in the area that carried Pronovias (the dress designer I knew I wanted). I was not disappointed. I felt I was listened to and I was never pressured. While my alterations were expensive, Fatima is exceptional at her craft and alterations done at Silk/Thimble Tailor were worth every penny.

Silk was the second bridal shop I went to. I found them on The Knot and after browsing through their Instagram I knew I had to check them out! I made the 1.5-hour trip with my mom and sister for the first time, completely unsure of what the outcome was going to be. I knew exactly what I was looking for in a dress and I had seen one on their Instagram feed that I fell in love with.

When we arrived at the shop, it was clean, modern, and beautiful. The dresses were arranged by designer and our attendant went through the designers with us and provided approximate price ranges for each. I showed my attendant the picture of the dress I saw on Instagram, and she quickly went to the rack and pulled it. She pulled dresses like that style and even pulled a couple that weren’t exactly what I wanted but would provide variety (just in case). Well, in the end, I fell in love with the dress from Instagram, the Pronovias Close.

The next step was to customize the dress to make it my dream dress. It started as a strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline, and I knew I wanted straps. So, once the dress came in, I worked with Fatima to make the dress fit me like a glove. I also was picky about my bustle; I knew what I didn’t want. Kendra took the time to show me the different bustle options for my dress and let me know which one would be the strongest option that would hold all night. I was so nervous leading up to my first fitting and when I left the store after it, I felt silly for feeling nervous at all. Fatima is an expert; she knows what she is doing, and she does it quickly and efficiently.

In the end, my dress was perfect, even better than I ever could have imagined. The straps that we added were gorgeous and exactly what I wanted; Fatima executed them perfectly. My bustle held all night, even through continuous dancing and partying!

I also asked Fatima and her team to make me a bowtie and pocket square out of the extra Mikado material we ordered for my dress straps. It was so special to have such beautiful handmade accessories for my husband on our wedding day.

I cannot say enough about this business. They made everything go so smoothly and really were a joy to work with. I would highly suggest to everyone to go there to get their dress. Worth the cost.

Kendra picked out my beautiful gown after simply talking with her for a few minutes. It was not what I thought I wanted but as soon as I put it on I didn’t want to take it off! Nothing but compliments and alterations were painlessly quick and easy!

Silk was the first bridal shop I visited and ultimately the last. I made an appointment to go to one of their sale events with really no expectations. I had a vision of my gown but no real clear cut options. Kendra was the bridal attendant who helped me and I can't say enough how lovely she was. I was totally comfortable with her and didn't feel pressured. I tried on 4 dressed total the 4th being one my mom found and the dress I fell in love with. Pronovias is the designer and we added custom removable sleeves. I also purchased my veil and earrings from Silk. The whole staff is wonderful and Fatima is an amazing seamstress. My gown fit like a glove with only one alteration and she helped my MIL & SIL with their dresses.

While shopping for wedding dresses, I went to a few shops but no experience compares to my experience at Silk Bridal. I was very hesitant to buy a dress since it is a big commitment, Kendra was so patient with me letting me try on my dress I picked and other similar dresses over and over! Trying on dresses at Silk with the assistance of Kendra makes you feel like you are shopping with a lifelong friend! She was honest and helpful plus I had a lot of fun! I did not feel like I was just another sale or like she was pressuring me to buy like at other salons. Once I bought my dress, the process was smooth and Fatima did an amazing job tailoring it. She made it easy to trust her with the most expensive dress I will ever own! If I ever need anything tailored in the future, I will be bringing it to her! Overall, I would recommend this salon to any bride!

After visiting 5 different bridal boutiques, I knew just after walking in that I would find my dress here. Amazingly helpful and super nice staff that made you feel comfortable the entire time. Wonderful selection of stunning gowns. Alterations were AMAZING!!! Best place by far!

I had such an AMAZING experience at Silk Bridal! The place is very elegant with tons of dresses and accessories to pick from. Kendra was wonderful to work with and went above and beyond making sure I found the perfect dress. She is such a genuine person which I was very happy she was right by my side to share my "yes to the dress" moment. I added lace cascading down the front of my dress that Fatima sewed on, creating a gorgeous work of art. I can not rave enough about her talent, she made my dream dress a reality. The staff at Silk make you feel beautiful and always right at home. Thank you so much for making my dress experience memorable, I couldn't be happier with my choice!
