The team at Silk made everything so effortless which made my try-on day extremely special! They made us feel welcomed, helped guide me to the perfect dress, and even popped champagne & gave me a parting gift, just for shopping there.

Silk was the second bridal shop I went to. I found them on The Knot and after browsing through their Instagram I knew I had to check them out! I made the 1.5-hour trip with my mom and sister for the first time, completely unsure of what the outcome was going to be. I knew exactly what I was looking for in a dress and I had seen one on their Instagram feed that I fell in love with.

When we arrived at the shop, it was clean, modern, and beautiful. The dresses were arranged by designer and our attendant went through the designers with us and provided approximate price ranges for each. I showed my attendant the picture of the dress I saw on Instagram, and she quickly went to the rack and pulled it. She pulled dresses like that style and even pulled a couple that weren’t exactly what I wanted but would provide variety (just in case). Well, in the end, I fell in love with the dress from Instagram, the Pronovias Close.

The next step was to customize the dress to make it my dream dress. It started as a strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline, and I knew I wanted straps. So, once the dress came in, I worked with Fatima to make the dress fit me like a glove. I also was picky about my bustle; I knew what I didn’t want. Kendra took the time to show me the different bustle options for my dress and let me know which one would be the strongest option that would hold all night. I was so nervous leading up to my first fitting and when I left the store after it, I felt silly for feeling nervous at all. Fatima is an expert; she knows what she is doing, and she does it quickly and efficiently.

In the end, my dress was perfect, even better than I ever could have imagined. The straps that we added were gorgeous and exactly what I wanted; Fatima executed them perfectly. My bustle held all night, even through continuous dancing and partying!

I also asked Fatima and her team to make me a bowtie and pocket square out of the extra Mikado material we ordered for my dress straps. It was so special to have such beautiful handmade accessories for my husband on our wedding day.

I tried a number of bridal shops in Rochester and Silk knocked it out of the park in terms of service and expertise. Laura was so patient and helpful with me and my group and was able to read into my comments and pull gorgeous gowns I never would have selected on my own - and they were all so perfect. They made shopping fun for a non-girly girl who was dreading it a little, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. Highly recommend!!

I am in LOVE with this boutique!! The atmosphere, the dress selection, the team, and the experience were all above and beyond anything else I had experienced while wedding planning. Before visiting Silk, I had tried on over 30 gowns (that all looked the same), and just never had that "wow" moment. Kendra had me try on a dress that didn't look anything like what I thought I was looking for. Long story short, it was the first dress I put on there and I never wanted to take it off. It was perfect! Fatima is a goddess seamstress, and I am still getting compliments on my dress months later! Thank you!!!

After visiting 5 different bridal boutiques, I knew just after walking in that I would find my dress here. Amazingly helpful and super nice staff that made you feel comfortable the entire time. Wonderful selection of stunning gowns. Alterations were AMAZING!!! Best place by far!

What can I say about Silk? Fatima, Jenna and the rest of the team are absolutely amazing! Before visiting Silk, I had been to other bridal salons and been disappointed when looking at the variety and quality of dresses. That all changed with Silk, which is stocked with beautiful designer dresses in all different styles and fabrics. On my first appointment, I had personal and individualized attention from one of the attendants, who let me pick out as many dresses as I wanted to try on. I tried on about 6 dresses before I found the perfect dress. We all toasted with some sparking cider and I walked away that night paying in full. Fast forward eight months, I returned to Silk for ideas on accessorizing and found some great advice. I also bought my bridesmaid dresses from Silk. Working with Fatima on alterations was amazing! I can't speak highly enough about the dress selection, the professionalism, the kindness and flexibility of Silk and the employees. Despite being a busy bridal shop, on every visit I was treated with respect and was able to take as much time as I needed, even staying open late if I needed to. They are truly there to please and want you to have a beautiful wedding.

I had the best experience at Silk. Not only with finding the perfect dress but making sure it fit perfectly. They took my dress and changed the neckline and recreated it! You would never have known. All the employees and the owner are top notch!

Silk was the first bridal shop I visited and ultimately the last. I made an appointment to go to one of their sale events with really no expectations. I had a vision of my gown but no real clear cut options. Kendra was the bridal attendant who helped me and I can't say enough how lovely she was. I was totally comfortable with her and didn't feel pressured. I tried on 4 dressed total the 4th being one my mom found and the dress I fell in love with. Pronovias is the designer and we added custom removable sleeves. I also purchased my veil and earrings from Silk. The whole staff is wonderful and Fatima is an amazing seamstress. My gown fit like a glove with only one alteration and she helped my MIL & SIL with their dresses.
