My wife and I hired John and Judy Shelton (a husband and wife team) at Shelton’s Wedding Cake Designs. We met with John a couple of times and had a very nice experience. When you walk into their office and see examples of their work, you’ll get an immediate sense of their talents. Shelton’s was recommended by all of our wedding service providers and we’re very grateful to them for this. My fiancé and I met with a couple wedding cake designers. Rather than giving us a plate of various sample slices, Shelton’s actually made us small 6” diameter sample cakes. Each was properly decorated with the cake type and filling written on the top. Such up-front effort to a client demonstrates their professionalism, care, and quality. If there was a drawback, it would certainly be ‘which type of cake and filling to go with’ as they are all so very delicious! One couldn’t go wrong with any of them. We chose a white cake with chocolate chips and chocolate fudge filling. The cake was exactly what my fiancé and I had in mind and it was as beautiful as it was delicious. We provided them with a photo of a design we had in mind and they matched it exactly. We couldn’t be more impressed and our guests had nothing but praise and awe for the cake.
