I was initially very excited about having Shane as our photographer. She is a photojournalist and had an amazing portfolio of wedding pictures and portraits. The day of the wedding, she was on time and got some wonderful candid shots that I wouldn't trade for the world. I was disappointed with the portraits, though. We had to do the pictures inside because it was a drizzly day, and I feel maybe the outcome would have been better if we could have gone outside. The best part was that I didn't have to rifle through a stack of proofs to choose photos. She chose the best photos and put an album together, and she gave me all the rest of the photos, as well. From any of those, I could choose which ones I wanted blown up or reprinted, but I didn't have to worry about not seeing some of them again. I was really happy with that part of the transaction, especially. Looking back, I wish I could have done something about the formal portraits, but, like I said, the candids were incredible and gave me great moments to remember from a very busy day.
