Sean was our photographer for our September wedding and we cannot recommend him enough. He was prompt, calm and a great presence to have to our hectic day. He maneuvered family dynamics with ease and was able to get in, get the shot, and jump out on dance floor. We had multiple people tell us how great they thought he was before even seeing the photos. On top of all that, we had amazing preview images within 2 days of our wedding and he gave our entire wedding album a couple weeks earlier than promised. Sean was recommended to us by a fellow photographer who was unavailable to photograph our wedding date. Upon visiting his website I was awestruck by the stunningly beautiful images he captured. His style fit the image I envisioned perfectly. I immediately emailed him expecting him to be booked for the date, but surprisingly he said he was available for our date. So we set up a meet and greet with him at his offices. Sean is so warm and inviting I immediately felt at ease with him. His packages definitely aren’t cheap but my fiance and I were okay with splurging on a good photographer so that we could capture everything. We chose the package that included 10 hours with Sean and a second photographer in addition to the photo-booth which has an actual photographer take photos. I loved that Sean was not imposing and never pressured us to get anything that we didn’t want. When he told us that another couple was considering booking him for the date, I immediately took out my checkbook to make a deposit. There was no way I was letting Sean go! Sean shot our engagement photos which I highly recommend because it definitely helped us get a feel for his style and made us more comfortable in front of the cameras when the big day came. All of our friends and family told us that those were the best engagement photos they have ever seen. On the day of, Sean arrived with a crew of about four all sharply dressed and ready to get to work. We originally planned to get married outdoors but it started raining and the ceremony had to be moved to the indoors. I was visibly heartbroken because I really wanted to have photos taken outdoors. With the use of umbrellas and about 3 handlers Sean made my desire come true and found a way to shoot our reveal and family photos outdoors. He is such a focused and talented visionary. He perfectly executed this from our engagement shoot to the pictures on our wedding day. Our guests and other friends have raved about our pictures. Sean Kim was a dream come true for us. He flawlessly executed a very smooth and fun "engagement shoot" to see how my now husband and I work together on the camera, and took some brilliant photographs of us during our wedding day. Sean really delivered - he has a great eye, a laid back attitude, and is just a really nice, calming force to have there on the wedding day. He works well with lighting, and takes some really creative shots. He was able to turn around my wedding photos in a timely fashion and was flexible and managed to squeeze in formal portraits even though we were time constrained on the day of. He was able to capture the special moments and brings a very warm feel to his photography.
I would highly recommend also doing an engagement shoot with Sean before the wedding, since it's a great way to get to know him and his style (and also let him get to know you). I'm so glad he was there for our wedding events and will cherish those photos for a lifetime!
