It's easy to see the quality of Sean's work, but it's another thing to experience the way that he achieves his results. From the second you meet him you'll feel the confidence of an experienced professional and that will put you at ease. During our engagement session it was a joy to watch the way that Sean can walk into a new environment, quickly figure out the lighting and composition, and then effortlessly give instruction on how to stand, how to walk, where to look, and how to appear natural in ways that were not necessarily intuitive to us. His tone and demeanor are such that in more intimate moments it becomes easy to view him less as a stranger with a camera than as a friend who just made you laugh with a joke. That is a skill that allows him to get shots that most other photographers would never have the opportunity to capture regardless of their technical ability. He brought that same familiarity and positivity to our wedding but he also showcased another set of abilities that really put him over the top for us. Time management and people management. Pictures are important, but so is experiencing your own wedding day. Sean is able to get these incredible shots by placing you, posing you, and coaching you quickly. We gave Sean an extremely difficult and lengthy shot list and he was able to command the attention of a large room of friends and family who would rather be eating, drinking and dancing and got them organized and looking picture perfect while still exuding positivity and congeniality. Having Sean at your wedding is like having another planner on site. With a 3 second whisper in your ear he can give you little tips for how to cut the cake, or where to look during speeches, or any of the 30 other little things that you hadn't fully thought through. At other times he can become invisible and capture beautiful candid moments that you couldn't have hoped would ever make it into a photograph. All this is in service to getting the best possible photos, and making one of the best days of your life even better. Beyond that, he will turn around teasers very quickly and full packages not too much later in a format that makes them easy to view, download, and share. I can't recommend Sean Cook highly enough. When we were planning our wedding, there was one person we knew had to be a part of it right away and that was Sean. From the moment he joined our team he was engaged and helpful to make sure our big day would go smoothly -- he asked for specific shots we wanted and what details in the decor or our outfits we wanted to highlight. This attention to detail made sure none of our special touches were missed.

Sean shot our rehearsal dinner first, capturing some amazing moments and really taking the time to get to know our friends and family so he could easily identify them the next day. On our wedding day, he made me feel so at ease and kept our entire bridal party relaxed and smiling for photos that weren't just beautiful, but natural as well. We had a tight time frame for photos and he did everything he could to get all the shots we wanted. At the end of the night, he even set up a makeshift photo booth so we didn't miss anyone. It's that kind of consideration you just don't get everywhere.

To be honest, I have been working on this review since I first met Sean over three years ago. He was the first vendor I reached out to in our wedding planning process and I did not have any idea where we were going to get married. All I knew was that I needed to have Sean capture our day. A change in plans ended up making our engagement three years long, but I am so glad Sean hung with us to our long awaited wedding day.
