Sean was one of the first vendors that we hired when we got engaged in May 2020. Our original wedding was in 2021 and we had to push until 2022. Over the past 2.5 years, we had many zoom calls to discuss the wedding and what really stuck out to me, is that he really wanted to get to know my fiancé (at the time) and I to form a bond so that he could make our wedding day that much more special. On the first phone call we ever had with him, he said, I will literally be with you from start to finish your whole wedding day. And thay always stuck with me. We hired Sean for our engagement photos, our rehearsal welcome party and of course the big wedding day. I kid you not, when Sean was leaving the wedding I think I started crying because I loved every second of working with him. We also demanded having a picture with him. From the beginning of the day until the end of the day, he made us laugh, he directed us in ways we wouldn’t have known otherwise, and he told us exactly what we had to do to make sure we could get all the photos we wanted. I would also like to mention that we had a bridal party of 29 people, and a very large group for family portraits (not easy to manage a large group like that). Not only did he manage it, but he memorized everyone’s names…HOW?! After the wedding, people would come up to us and compliment us on the decor, flowers, food, the usual..but then they would say BUT OMG SEAN YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER WAS AMAZING! There are literally not enough good things I can say about him. And the quality of the photos?! I mean, just look at his instagram. His work totally speaks for itself as all his photos are absolutely flawless. He is a complete and total professional and a master at his craft. I can not wait until the next time I work with Sean.

It's easy to see the quality of Sean's work, but it's another thing to experience the way that he achieves his results. From the second you meet him you'll feel the confidence of an experienced professional and that will put you at ease. During our engagement session it was a joy to watch the way that Sean can walk into a new environment, quickly figure out the lighting and composition, and then effortlessly give instruction on how to stand, how to walk, where to look, and how to appear natural in ways that were not necessarily intuitive to us. His tone and demeanor are such that in more intimate moments it becomes easy to view him less as a stranger with a camera than as a friend who just made you laugh with a joke. That is a skill that allows him to get shots that most other photographers would never have the opportunity to capture regardless of their technical ability. He brought that same familiarity and positivity to our wedding but he also showcased another set of abilities that really put him over the top for us. Time management and people management. Pictures are important, but so is experiencing your own wedding day. Sean is able to get these incredible shots by placing you, posing you, and coaching you quickly. We gave Sean an extremely difficult and lengthy shot list and he was able to command the attention of a large room of friends and family who would rather be eating, drinking and dancing and got them organized and looking picture perfect while still exuding positivity and congeniality. Having Sean at your wedding is like having another planner on site. With a 3 second whisper in your ear he can give you little tips for how to cut the cake, or where to look during speeches, or any of the 30 other little things that you hadn't fully thought through. At other times he can become invisible and capture beautiful candid moments that you couldn't have hoped would ever make it into a photograph. All this is in service to getting the best possible photos, and making one of the best days of your life even better. Beyond that, he will turn around teasers very quickly and full packages not too much later in a format that makes them easy to view, download, and share. I can't recommend Sean Cook highly enough. Hiring Sean was the best decision we made during our wedding planning process, hands down. After our initial Facetime meeting, we felt like we were already long-time friends and we could tell he knew all the right questions to ask so we could all be prepared for the engagement shoot and our big day. He took the time to get to know us as a couple, understand the dynamics of our family and wedding party, and learn what was important to us in our photos. We couldn't be happier with how all of our photos turned out, and we had several wedding guests comment that he was the best photographer they've ever seen in action. Highly recommend booking Sean to capture your big day - you will NOT regret it!

Sean was an absolute dream to work with. We had a large, rowdy bridal party, so I was worried about wrangling everyone for some group shots, but they turned out absolutely perfect. 100% would recommend the Portrait booth - it was just beyond any "photobooth" we could have gotten. From the start of the day, it was if I had known Sean for years. He was so laid back (in a calming way), but able to direct us effortlessly, to get the most beautiful photos. Sean even stayed late and took some amazing candids on film (which ended up being my favorite shots) on the dance floor until the last song. I would marry my husband 100 more times to have Sean Cook Photograph our day over and over again!

We found Sean through our wedding planner, Lillian Rose Events. Upon our first meeting and hearing that photography was on the top of our list, she immediately said I have the guy for you. We had a FaceTime call and in the middle of it I wrote to my fiance on a piece of paper and slid it to him and it said “I love him!”. Sean started the call with “Hi Friends” and that is how every interaction is with him. After that call we easily knew Sean was a person we wanted to be around and take our pictures, and seeing his portfolio online just solidified it. We felt so comfortable right away, we laughed, we shared stories, and we knew this was the guy to make us feel so comfortable in awkward situations and who would capture the moments of our wedding.

We did a wonderful engagement shoot with him during the summer, and I would highly encourage taking advantage of this part of his package because it really did start the relationship with him, getting his flow down, and becoming comfortable in front of the camera/being posed. It was such an easy and fun day and of course we got FANTASTIC pictures that I had a hard time choosing between to print for ourselves.

The day of our wedding Sean came with his second shooter Aaron and we couldn’t have asked for a better team. I know they got so many wonderful shots, and Sean loves the detail moments which I also cherish. We had a lot of family mementos and special parts of our day and he took such care in making sure those were captured. They easily integrated themselves into the day and would step forward and help as needed. We chose to upgrade our package and do the Portrait Booth with Sean and I just can’t wait to see those pictures. People really had a great time going over there and interacting with Sean and getting a great picture. Something different that I have not seen before at a wedding.

Sean is one of the most genuine, kind, and thoughtful humans I have interacted with and he made all our time together easy and fun and if you have the opportunity to work with him, jump on it!

I wanted an experienced photographer that would be able to not only create and capture beautiful photos of us but also capture many of the candid moments of the event and our guests all night. Sean brought incredible energy and an easy-going, fun personality that put my fiance and me at ease for both the wedding and our engagement photo session. At the wedding, he also brought an assistant that aided in getting over 5000 pictures of us and our friends and family. We also chose to do the portrait booth with a blank black background. It was an absolute hit because of Sean. Anyone that chose to get a portrait basically got a photoshoot of beautiful professional photos. He was funny, made everyone feel comfortable and brought out some amazing photos. I will look at those pictures from our big day with awe forever!

To preface this, photography was the most important element of our wedding to me. Sean is so amazing to work with and I cannot recommend him enough. My husband and I agree he was our favorite vendor choice throughout our entire wedding (and we loved everything about our wedding!) After we first spoke with him, we interviewed a couple other photographers, and they just paled in comparison just in the way we vibed. Sean went above and beyond for us throughout the entire process, from the engagement shoot through the end of the night of our wedding. We loved our engagement photos so much that we added on a rehearsal dinner shoot and his Portrait Booth, which our guests raved about. I am extremely picky when it comes to photography, specifically with event/lifestyle-type photos. It takes a specific talent to be able to capture emotion, which Sean definitely has. We're looking forward to working with Sean in future lifestyle shoots.
