Heidi and her team were everything we dreamed of for our wedding. The food was a top priority for us at our wedding and Heidi absolutely delivered. She had my husband, myself, and our guests talking about the food for days. Not only was the food amazing, but Heidi and her team were efficient, kind, and considerate while the food was being prepared, served, and cleaned up. We would hire Save Your Thyme Catering over and over again for our wedding!!

Heidi at Save Your Thyme was amazing to work with from the very beginning for our wedding catering needs. She went out of her way to arrange samples for us to try before booking with her, which made a huge difference for us in deciding on a menu (and the samples were full size meals and were AMAZING). She was very professional and stayed in contact with me and my mother the whole time to ensure everything was all set and the way my husband and I wanted it. I really appreciated the way she took charge on our wedding day and made MAGIC HAPPEN with her crew. I have very high standards, and that was especially true for my wedding, but Heidi and her team exceeded my expectations. I'm so happy with how our wedding turned out, and the food and service was just outstanding. She's a talented woman with an amazing team!

Heidi and Save Your Thyme were a joy to work with. We had so much fun tasting beforehand, and when the big day rolled around the guests were raving about the potatoes. Heidi was very helpful guiding us through the menu, working with our not-so-perfect location, and accommodating some dietary restrictions. Heidi was AMAZING in every aspect! First, she is just a truly lovely person and throughout the entire planning process seemed excited and thoughtful about the food! But pair her personality with the incredible food she prepared for my wedding and you can’t go wrong! Heidi worked with us to create a menu and serving style that was perfect for our small wedding reception. She created the most beautiful grazing table filled with cheeses, meats, crackers, fruits, vegetables, chocolate, dips and displayed it perfectly. For dinner we had food served family style and she provides all serving platters/bowls needed. Our menu included a seasonal salad, rolls, green beans, twice baked potatoes, swordfish, and steak and literally everything was perfect! The salad was dressed well, rolls were soft and warm, green beans shad the perfect texture, my guests were talking all night about the cheesy twice baked potatoes, the swordfish was cooked perfectly and had an amazing lemony white wine sauce, and everyone who had the steak commented on how great it was! I wouldn’t have changed a single thing! We finished with a dessert bar with an assortment of cookies, donuts, cupcakes, eclairs and the best brownies I’ve ever eaten! Not only was the food amazing but Heidi was flexible on the day of with timeline changes and got everything out right when expected! I can’t thank Heidi enough for her hard work on my wedding day!

We can’t say enough great things about Save Your Thyme—they absolutely blew us (and our guests!) away with their food and service on our wedding day. From the very beginning, they were easy to communicate with, flexible, and genuinely excited to help us create a menu that felt personal and delicious.

On the day of the wedding, everything was executed flawlessly. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious—people are still talking about the Tuscan Chicken and the Roasted Veggie Macaroni & Cheese! The service staff was professional, friendly, and made sure everyone felt taken care of.

Working with Save Your Thyme gave us so much peace of mind—they were organized, responsive, and truly passionate about what they do. We are so thankful to have had them as part of our big day and would recommend them in a heartbeat to any couple looking for top-notch catering.

Heidi was so helpful through out the entire process. I knew after the initial phone call that we wanted to go with Save Your Thyme Catering! Heidi was very informative and consultative during our meetings. She did give us a great outline of the typical entree selections and buffet options but she made it very clear that it was our special day and that we could really put what ever twist on it we wanted. Our guests loved the food, specially the sliders and twice baked mashed potatoes (seriously still hearing about it 2 months later). Her team was very professional and so helpful on the day of our wedding. I really can't say enough great things about Heidi and her team, I would highly recommend!!

Save Your Thyme Catering did a fabulous job at our daughters wedding! Heidi and her crew were a delight to work with and very efficient and helpful in serving their food (which we did buffet style). Her appetizer board and spinach dip wontons were picture perfect and a great hit! The blueberry chicken, garlic steak and maple salmon delicious along with her fresh summer salads.

Many guests at the wedding complimented on how great the food was. We had several young kids attend our daughter wedding; Heidi suggested “kid friendly meals” which were a big hit with the young children and their parents. They even included crayons and coloring pages! Save Your Thyme Catering top notch from start to finish, I highly recommend them!

We are so glad that we hired Heidi as our wedding caterer. She was great to work with and made a custom meal with local ingredients based on our requests. She also went out of her way to give us a thorough tasting so we could pick our favorites. Her staff at the wedding were professional and efficient. And the food was delicious!

Heidi responds quickly to messages most of the time, yet has frequent typos. She was accommodating to meet in a neutral location for taste testing. We booked 10 months in advance of our event, and at the time of our initial conversations we had discussed having oysters as an appetizer, and then later when the time got closer (within 2 months of the event) she told me “No oysters. I don't do oysters anymore and don't recall discussing them, but maybe we did. “ This was a huge let down for my husband and I.

Throughout the last 2 months of planning Heidi was very defensive/passive aggressive in her messaging with us. 4 days prior to our event Heidi informs me she will not be catering/attending our event, and will be sending her son, although assures us the quality of will not be affected.

The day of the event she texted me, the bride 30 minutes before start time “Hi Shelby, you gave me a final headcount of 150. Drew (her Son) just told me 170-200???” Instead of one of the 2 point people she was given contact information for. This was false information we actually had about 18 less people than what we had planned and paid for, and an unnecessary stress on myself.

After dinner I was told by my family at the last 2 tables (buffet style) that there was no steak left as an entree option. My husband and I had the steak, which was dry and tough, it had a good flavor/sauce but was difficult to cut. I was also told from many people that were able to choose steak, that it was it was tough, and many were unable to use thier knives to cut it. There was a handful that said theirs was fine/good, overall the steak (our main entree choice) it was very hit or miss (mostly miss, as many didn’t get the choice and many who did, were dissatisfied). The appetizers, sides, and desserts were good.

I told Heidi that many kids at our event did not eat, as we had prepared food for the picky eaters on our own, her response was “no decent parent is going to sit and eat in front of their children” and proceeded to to argue with me about the head count, and that children did eat- regardless if the kids chose to eat or not, with the amount of no-shows, we were still under head count.

Upon bringing up my concerns Heidi offered me an apology and a 1.3% refund of what we had already paid. She informed me that her staff counted 20 people MORE than I had invited, (thus adding up to 40 extra people that were not present) and tried to use this as an excuse for running out of the steak. She also said “no caterer makes 2 entrees per person because it would be a significant amount of food waste. Reach out and ask someone else who caters”. We were left with two 13x20 trays of potatoes, two 13x20 trays of Mac n cheese, and another 13x20 of the chicken pasta (minimal chicken) our other entree choice. It seems there was a miscalculation on slides versus entree options.

When I expressed that I thought possibly a miscalculation happened, and what I had hard from my guests, her response was “ There are always going to be people that like the food and those that don't. I'm trying to be reasonable, but I am not budging on this offer. Take it or leave it.” And then proceeded to block me and not even send the 1.3% refund as she had promised.

It was only after my review was posted (which took 14 days since I had to contact admin as I was blocked and unable to post a review) that she Venmo’d me, a 2.3% refund stating “I attempted to send this to you 3 days after your last message. After checking my bank account, I called Venmo, who informed me that the transaction didn't process.”

All in all, I would consider hiring her for a much smaller event, if there was not another reasonable caterer available.
