Fabulous experince start to finish!

Edward and his team are that rare combination of extremely kind and extremely talented. We booked them for both catering and bar service for our ~200 person wedding at my parent's home this past July. The venue was challenging terrain and there were many details for this wedding production. From the very first phone call, Edward was flexible and accommodating and seemed to genuinely care about our experience and well-being through the whole process. It is rare that food is one of the things people are talking about after a large wedding...three months later people are still raving about every course. Less than two weeks after our wedding, we booked French Picnic to cater my grandfather's 90th birthday celebration and that was also wonderful! First rate experience and we will definitely continue to use them for any occasion worth celebrating!

Amazing, visionary chef and top service

Edward and his staff are true professionals. From the first phone call, it’s clear Edward knows food. He was professional, always early, and so easy to work with. And the food: incredible. I dream about the lion’s mane mushrooms he prepared for us. The steak, chicken, apps, and service were all impeccable. His flavors are balanced and original. His professional team made our perfect day even more so.

Best Meal!

Edward and his entire team at French Picnic were an absolute dream to work with! From the moment we first started communicating them over a year before our wedding to the actual wedding day, he was responsive, communicative, thoughtful, and accommodating! The food was absolutely exceptional - I had several family and friends rave about the entire meal, particularly the steak and the appetizers! The food was beautifully plated and the meal was served right on time -- I could not recommend French Picnic more!

Simply the best!

When I think of the perfect Maine caterer, it’s a group that makes delicious, farm-to-table, locally-sourced food, is passionate about their craft, creative, polite, and able to deal with whatever the Maine elements throw at them. French Picnic embodies this to a T. Our wedding took place on an island during a borderline-hurricane. The magic that Edward’s team pulled off to cook an amazing meal *outdoors* in driving rain and sustained 30 mph winds is still a mystery to me. But as many others have said - people are still raving about French Picnic’s food. My wife and I continue to dream about the best barbecue chicken we’ve ever had. Edward and his team truly care about making the day special, and it shows. Thank you again French Picnic!!

The best summer picnic you could ask for

Edward, Hagai, and the rest of the French Picnic team were amazing to work with. We literally picked our wedding date based on when the French Picnic team would be free and it was the best decision we could have made. We raved about the food, our guests raved about the food, and they even worked with us to put together some Persian-inspired food to honor my family's heritage. We are so lucky we were able to work with them and so grateful for everything they did from the menu planning to the tasting to our wedding day itself!

Above and beyond!

French Picnic went above and beyond our expectations for our wedding! From our first time speaking with Edward on the phone to our tasting it was clear the passion and gift he and his team has. Every appetizer and course is made with such precise detail and exquisite taste and flavors. He was always quick to respond and a delight to work with. The family style catering was exactly what we had envisioned, and all our guests loved how intimate it was. We highly recommend them!

10/10, book French Picnic NOW!

If we could rate more than 5 stars, we would! Edward and French Picnic blew us away along every step of the process. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were unable to have a tasting with French Picnic ahead of our wedding. We put our trust in the menu, Edward & French Picnic as well as our wedding coordinator who suggested him. Let me tell you: Edward's food was the best wedding food we've ever had (and that's not just because it was our wedding!). We continue to get raving reviews from our family and friends even months later. Every couple getting married in the Portland, ME region should work with French Picnic!

Wow, the Food was Amazing!

We are so happy that we chose French Picnic to cater our wedding! The family-style dishes were exactly what we imagined: Friends and family passing plates and chatting as they enjoyed the meal.

The Thai Coconut Tofu Curry was especially good and we had guests approach us after dinner to say that this was their first time trying tofu, that the dish was absolutely amazing, and that they needed the recipe.

Thanks for making our wedding so special!

We Loved French Picnic!

Edward and the rest of the French Picnic team were a perfect match for our wedding. They had everything we wanted for our vegetarian wedding. Every detail exceeded our expectations. The food was simply outstanding. Every interaction we had with Edward was warm and felt like family. Having an accommodating vendor like French Picnic reduced the stress of wedding planning and made it really enjoyable at every step.
