Documentary photographers Sara Young and Peter Franklin believe the most powerful and honest images unfold when the photographer becomes invisible. Guided by natural light, environment and relationships, the pair prefers to work quietly to capture the details of an event and directs photographs only when necessary.

Sara Young graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in Photojournalism. Young worked as Director of Photography and Senior Photographer for The Daily Texan. Her personal work focuses on the complexities of social rituals and contemporary trends. Young is currently working as a freelance photographer in Austin, Texas.

Peter Franklin graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Journalism with emphasis in Photojournalism. He has worked for The Daily Texan and The Kansas City Star, with additional work published in the French newspaper Le Monde and the Houston Chronicle. Franklin's personal work searches for depth, complexity and surprises in everyday life. He is currently working as a freelance photographer in Austin, Texas.
