When my husband and I began looking for photographers, we looked at many different photographers portfolios and Rob’s stuck out the most. The way he was able to capture couples weddings from start to finish in such a way that told the story was truly amazing. When we spoke with Rob and found out his pricing, my husband and I were a bit hesitant to spend so much on a wedding photographer, but I can say without a doubt that out of every vendor we booked for our wedding, Rob is the one who was worth every single penny. He truly was able to capture our wedding day in a way that brought us tears of joy. If we had to do our entire wedding over again he’d be the first on our list to book! From talking before the booking process to the photo reveal, it was such a smooth process and he made the whole thing feel magical. If you can, book Rob because he will absolutely do what you want and more!

Rob did an exceedingly exceptional job. Not only did he set us up for success by carefully going over a detailed schedule with us beforehand and help us manage expectations in the days/weeks leading up to the big day. He was also available and caring throughout the entire process. He is incredibly professional and makes sure that the couple, and family members are having fun on the wedding day, and don't spend too much time taking photos; the photos turn out better than we could have imagined. He doesn't just capture pictures from the day, he captures the emotions that made the day everything that it was. My husband and I were completely blown away by what he was able to do; he shattered our expectations and then some. Everything was very organic, we spent very little time posing for photos aside from getting the obligatory family portraits. Even our individual portrait photos were just us wandering around the venue and Rob capturing our playfulness and silliness. I cannot recommend him enough!

We discovered Rob through our venue, Sweeney Barn, as he is one of their preferred vendors. Looking at his portfolio and now having worked with him, it is obvious why! He has many years of experience, an incredible eye for framing, a beautiful and creative style, and a wonderful personality! And we were amazed at his ability to capture the same events from multiple angles. You’d think he was in multiple places at once! He kept us on track and moving, getting the important portraits that we wanted quickly so that he could capture candid photos of our guests celebrating with us, which was a big priority for us. During our photo reveal session, we had so much fun looking at all the great pictures and designing our album. We are so excited to see what the album looks like!

We used Rob from Rob Jinks photography at Airlie for our wedding. He was relaxed but efficient, especially when wrangling the larger groups for pictures. Because of the weather, he arrived early to find creative alternatives to get pictures in the more shady areas of the venue. He even provided us with a few preview shots of his work at the wedding which was really nice. We cannot wait to get the full set of pictures from him!

Where to begin? My friends and I have a running joke that Rob Jinks is our resident photographer within our friend group (lol). He has photographed 4 other weddings that my husband and I attended, and now our wedding. Rob is excellent in his craft! He'll run an idea past you, at your level of comfortability, but word of advice just roll with it, because it ends up working so well! We can't thank Rob enough for capturing such beautiful moments from our big day!

Where do I even begin? Rob and his team were the best part of our day, quite frankly (aside from being blessed with peak foliage and beautiful weather).

We got married 10/28/23 at the Skyland Resort at Shenandoah National Park. Rob was both a recommended vendor and someone I found when googling “Shenandoah Weddings”. His experience with the venue and the park was instrumental to how well he was able to guide us throughout this process.

From the start, Rob went out of his way to get to know us. The whole planning process was seamless and communication between Rob and I was fantastic. Rob made every effort to get to know us personally. His questionnaire was a very helpful guide in helping us establish a shot list and making sure the truly important moments and details were captured. A simple tool that really helped harness the chaos that is wedding planning and focus us on the things that were truly important to us. It also made for a seamless transition from Rob to his head photographer, Eric, who was actually in charge of shooting our wedding.

Where do I even start with Eric? Eric was incredible. He showed up early in order to make sure he did not get caught in leaf peeping traffic (something we didn’t really realize we needed to plan for and that caught some of our guests and unfortunately other vendors who said they were familiar with this location/time off guard) and just jumped right in.

Eric was not just our photographer but basically our wedding sherpa. He helped the groomsmen with their boutonnieres and almost single handedly bustled my damn dress. All while delivering over and over again epic shots. He claims he sucks at detail shots but what he created for me was beautiful. Same for the shot of my dress. He organized our first look and helped us remember to take a moment with each other before the hecticness of the day really kicked off.

Eric let me sneak a peak at some of the shots he was getting while we were shooting, so even though I do no have edited images in-hand yet I am so excited to see the final images he captured!

I cannot recommend Rob Jinks photographer and Eric enough – 5 stars for every possible category of service you could imagine and worth the investment in their services.

Rob really exceeded all of our expectations as our wedding photographer and we could not be happier with how our day went. After attending so many weddings in the past, my husband and I realized that our photographer was our top priority as we didn’t want someone who just took staged photos all day and really wanted candids- someone to capture moments rather than still photos in random spots. Rob really made that vision come to life as he captured our day in many of our favorite spots whether it was throughout our home where we got ready, fun photos throughout our favorite spots in Old Town ALX, at our venue ~30 minutes from our home where we got more action shots and all of our family portraits. He was very flexible and went along with all of our ideas as far as where and when to capture our day (and managed to get perfect photos incorporating our dog as well)!

Rob was super timely and even arrived at our house almost 30 minutes early of our shoot time to scope out all of the spots for good lighting based on the time of day. He brought great energy and was really genuine throughout our time together - as my husband and I don’t always like to be in the spotlight, he made us feel comfortable and was super uplifting as we went about the day. He kept the process even more exciting as there were times when he found a cool way the light hit the camera and he’d have us move back into a very specific spot to try something new and spontaneous. It was really fun shooting across Old Town in all the various spots and spending the afternoon with Rob! Even at the venue we asked Rob about bringing a drone to capture us on the road leading into the wedding- he was all in to try it out for us and it was a success! As we got towards the end of the night, our reception started to get a little behind on time but Rob made sure all of our picture requests were met (and even reminded us of a few we had forgotten about).

With so many photographers out there to choose from, I really think Rob is the best choice you can make! He really brings so many special touches (and surprises) and helps make your day as magical as possible. We were fortunate to have amazing weather but even if it did rain, I’m sure our pictures would have been just as amazing given how versatile Rob is with his work (check out his instagram!) so it’s helpful to have someone like him to put your weather fears at ease. Thank you so SO much Rob and we are so excited for our in-person reveal session in a few weeks (again another awesome touch that Rob does for his clients)!!

He was thoughtful and intentional in the questions he asked about us, our families, and our wedding day. Throughout the year & a half between us booking him and our actual wedding, he remained in contact with us regularly to check in and see if he could provide any additional guidance or advice. On wedding day, he was on time (early), super flexible with us, and had the best energy. Rob is an incredibly gifted photographer and fabulous person. His energy and talent is beyond impressive.
