Jess and Lisa are without a doubt THE dream team in the world of wedding planning. I’ll set myself (the bride) up: a “bride-chilla” -- someone who believes she is chill but in reality has a hyper-specific vision, high expectations, and a penchant for mood boards. Add a pandemic and 2 wedding postponements and we have a potential cocktail for disaster.

From the moment my fiancé and I met Jess and Lisa for, we were sold by their warmth, professionalism, and passion for all things weddings. They immediately made us feel relaxed and we knew we were in good hands.

Jess and Lisa have a strong foundation as wedding planners, which was only highlighted as we worked through COVID-wedding planning. Here are the main reasons I would work with them:

1. They are your therapists. They not only know how to handle any situation, but how to help you work through the stress of it. This is invaluable.
2. They are OBSESSED with weddings. These two love their jobs and their energy is infectious. I loved wedding planning, but a lot of people don’t. They bring fun to a process than can often feel daunting.
3. They are honest. We had to make several tough decisions and RLL always gave it to us straight. They want everything to work out for you, but they don’t make the mistake of telling you what you want to hear and having it blow up in your face.
4. They are like a Google for weddings. One of the most underrated benefits of having a wedding planner is being able to ask any question ever (brides are, after all, usually doing this for the first time). Whether it’s devising a rain plan, how to evaluate vendors, guest communication, or where to put signage, they are an encyclopedia.
5. There are 2 of them and their skills complement each other. Having a dynamic duo means more support, backed up opinions, and more attention to your wedding.

So, work with them! Our wedding was beyond our wildest dreams, and I could not be more thankful that we had Jess and Lisa to help us on our journey there.

I’ve followed Riley Loves Lulu on Instagram since their early days when they were known as And Something Blue Events, and have always dreamed of working with them for my wedding.
