Lisa and Jess are hands down amazing! Having wedding planners who were able to pull off the wedding of our dreams without a hitch, especially as we were in another state was priceless. My husband wanted a New York style wedding and had a lot of expectations around that and Lisa and Jess took the time to understand our vision and executed it flawlessly. The resources that they had and connected us with did an amazing job. We couldn't have asked for a better band or caterer; really any of the vendors! Any idea we had they were able to make it happen and with the stress of a wedding they were able to keep us reassured. We wish we could get married again just to have the experience we had. We love you Lisa and Jess!!! -

I selected Riley Loves Lulu based on google search / venue lists 18 or so months before our wedding. I was blown away by the thoroughness of their website, model, and value WELL before the actual wedding month. Seeing the upgrades to their website and socials *almost* makes me want to do it again, but I'll settle on referring their company to my Bay Area people. I was paired with Lili, who felt like meeting a calmer version of myself. When I had a little spark of an idea, she was able to produce mood/design boards that brought my vision to life. When I was unable to handle the numerous emails/calls from vendors I reached out to, Lili took over the little things and encouraged me to trust the process. Right before my wedding, we had a family emergency and Lili provided me with more grace, kindness, and candor than I ever expected. She has a phenomenal relationship with the vendors we selected and everyone lights up when we held meetings with her, knowing she has IT! Then, when it came to the wedding day, I could just look over at her and feel a wave of confidence and relaxation because I knew she had my back. -

From the moment we began working with them, their professionalism, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail were evident in every aspect of the planning process.
Right from our very first introductory call, we immediately hit it off with Lili and Makena. Their warmth, enthusiasm, and genuine excitement for our wedding made us feel confident that we were in the best hands. They took the time to listen to our vision, offered expert advice, and made us feel at ease with their knowledge and experience. It was clear from the beginning that they truly cared about making our wedding as special as possible.
While our venue itself was already stunning, Lili and Makena's vision elevated it to an entirely new level. RileylovesLulu is the BEST!! We had a logistically complex wedding (guests staying at various hotels with transportation to and from ceremony, reception, etc) and Lisa and Jess made our day seamless.
In addition, Lisa and Jess created an aesthetic for our wedding day that we never knew we needed. We did not have a specific vision for tablescape, etc. They completely took rentals/aesthetic off of our plate and absolutely nailed it. Our guests are still talking about the beautiful tablecloths they chose (seriously!!)
The best part about having Lisa and Jess is that they will allow you to have ample fun on your wedding day. Their kind, thoughtful, humorous energy alone will put you at ease, in addition to their organizational skills and expertise in wedding day logistics.

We truly were blessed by Makena at Riley Loves Lulu! Makena went above and beyond from a year before our special day, sharing our vision, getting the best vendors we felt were like family to us on our wedding day. The florist was the most gorgeous flowers I ever seen, the photographer and videographer were 5 star. Makena's expertise and planning tools as well as overall coordination was beyond excellent! She provided design tools to show us the exact layout and design look and feel of our venue down to the decorations and made our dream come to life, her monthly weekly planner with budget tracker were extremely valuable to make sure that we were on time and kept to our planned budget. And then there is Makena herself she is an exceptional person both professionally and personally , honestly my bridal party and I wanted to keep her on our group chats as a friend forever, she is special and will make your wedding more then you ever imagined tku Makena and the Riley Loves Lulu team! -

We worked with Makena for our wedding a few weeks ago and she was amazing! She was really helpful in coordinating with all of our vendors a few months before and had all of the planning with them completely under control. She also met with us often to help talk through things and make sure we were on track. Every time we talked to her, she made us feel totally prepared and calm. We had some last minute details to confirm and she was very available and made sure everything was updated and correct. On the day of, she made sure everything was exactly as planned and everything went so smoothly. She did a ton of work to make it all happen! 10/10 recommend. -

We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Riley Loves Lulu, especially with Lili! We partnered with her in the final two months leading up to our wedding, and she truly exceeded our expectations. Lili was incredibly responsive, and flexible, and guided us with expertise whenever we needed it. She handled all of our rental logistics seamlessly, which took a huge load off our shoulders and allowed us to focus on other aspects of the wedding.
On the day of the wedding, I was surprisingly calm—thanks to Lili. She managed absolutely everything, from finding missing candles to tracking down items needed by other vendors. She kept the entire day running smoothly, without a hint of stress. Her professionalism, intelligence, and proactive approach made all the difference.

We were given repeated advice that a day-of (really two months out) coordinator was completely worth it, and a repeated company name that I saw was Riley Loves Lulu. When I looked at photos of weddings Riley Loves Lulu did, I loved their aesthetic and had a good feeling about them. We had a great first call with Lili, and then what really sealed the deal even more was when, during our tasting, we mentioned that we were leaning towards hiring Lili at Riley Loves Lulu and our caterer raved about her.
It was excellent advice! Lili is the sweetest and is super organized and knowledgeable. She provided us with specific planning tools (including a guide that helped us with the ceremony order) that we could use as soon as we booked with her--we booked ~10 months before our wedding, and then once we got close to the wedding we were in regular communication so that she could ask us questions to know and execute our vision in detail. She was also able to answer all sorts of little questions we had like where to rent highchairs and booster seats (through our caterer), offered a gratuity guide for vendors, and helped me finalize our linen order, and suggested a room layout for our venue and guest count (which was a huge relief because we had no idea how to organize the room).
She created a day-of timeline that she communicated to all of our other vendors, and took charge at our rehearsal the day before the wedding wrangling all the people to know what to do, and then took care of everything day of so we could enjoy stress free. Lili moved tables, skillfully set out the decorations (including putting napkin rings that I ordered off Amazon on all the napkins), repurposed flowers from the ceremony to make the dinning room and head table even more beautiful, and even had a sewing kit that saved us when the zipper on one of my bridesmaid's dresses broke. We felt so comfortable and confident knowing that Lili was in charge and it really was the ultimate luxury. Riley Loves Lulu offers tools for everything--timeline, decorations, seating chart with dietary restrictions noted, contact information for important people, suggested check-lists, but are also very flexible if we wanted to modify or use a different tool.

We could not be more grateful that we entrusted Jess and Lisa from Riley Loves Lulu with planning our wedding! We were thrilled with how everything turned out on our wedding weekend thanks to Lili from RLL! After mostly doing the planning myself and facing some issues with unresponsive vendors, we hired her 3 months before our wedding. She was incredibly responsive and supportive leading up to the wedding, proving great vendor suggestions. I am a verbal processor and Lili is a great listener and gave advice and suggestions that helped make the wedding feel like “us.” She also helped us plan our welcome party the night before the wedding and coordinated with a fairly new restaurant that hadn’t done events of our size before. A week out, we had to pivot for unexpected rain and Lili helped us find an affordable last minute tent (which I hear is unheard of in the wedding industry). On the wedding day, she advocated for what we wanted and we had our dream ceremony outside despite a very close call with the rain. Thank you Lili and Riley Loves Lulu! -

We knew that we wanted a wedding in nature with dancing until at least 12am. In the Napa area, this is a near impossible task! RLL helped us find a venue that was absolutely magical and worked with us to craft a day that felt extremely “us”. Not only did we end up with the wedding we were hoping for, but also amazing food, music, and flowers. One of the highlights of working with RLL was the connections to fantastic vendors. We liked everyone they chose so much that it was hard to say goodbye after the party! RLL also worked out all the details to make guests feel included and taken care of the whole weekend — all of our friends reached out afterwards to express how much they appreciated this. Lisa and Jessica made my "good music, good food, good wine" wedding dreams come true this past September in Kenwood, California! From our first meeting through a year and a half of planning, I felt so at ease working with both of them. They were organized, communicative, kind, proactive, professional and truly wonderful human beings with so much knowledge and experience. Our venue was our family home, which posed some unique challenges of a private venue that Lisa and Jessica navigated with ease, including coordinating off site parking for the vendors, multiple days of delivery and pick up, and scoping the perfect locations for the ceremony, dancing and band. They recommended a team of amazing vendors and the day itself was more than I ever hoped for. We had a blast at our own wedding, our families loved every detail, and we knew Lisa, Jessica and Makena had all the behind the scenes under control. One of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding was hiring Makena at Riley Loves Lulu! We’re so grateful for her enthusiasm, kindness, knowledge, and patience. Makena was always super responsive over email and was always willing to hop on the phone to further clarify things. She helped connect us to a couple of vendors (lighting, beverage ordering) and completely handled the rentals process from start to finish. Makena even went with us to two rental vendor appointments to help us decide what items would best suit our budget and style. And in the month leading up to the wedding, she took over all vendor confirmations and communications—this was so helpful, especially when we had trouble reaching one of our vendors (an issue she quickly resolved).
She picked up all of our personal items and decor after the rehearsal (which she ran flawlessly, by the way), and when we arrived at the venue the next morning, everything was already set up perfectly. While we were all getting ready Makena checked in with us several times to see how we were doing, and each time she exuded a sense of calm and confidence that helped us relax. We were able to fully enjoy the moment because we knew everything was running smoothly with Makena overseeing it all. She’s truly the best of the best. Thank you so much, Makena! -

We selected Riley Loves Lulu for our February 2023 wedding at the Flood Mansion in San Francisco. And we couldn’t recommend them more. Given that we have busy careers, we selected the full wedding planning package. We worked with Jessica and Lisa throughout our 4-month planning process and they made what could have been stressful into a meaningful and fun process. They asked the right questions to get to the right results and involved us in all the right levels of decision making without us having to sweat all the details. My fiance and I had a very unique vision for our wedding: a space disco-themed wedding at the Chabot Space and Science Center. We were looking for a planner who could help us throw an awesome wedding that was unique to use, and who wouldn’t try to push us in a more traditional direction. When we met with RLL, we knew we wanted to work with them. They were professional and enthusiastic, and all of their weddings look beautiful.
We went with the 8-week coordination package and worked with Makena. Makena was great to work with throughout: she is friendly and calm, and she helped keep us on track. She was also very flexible with changing plans, especially as we had to deal with the changing nature of planning a COVID-safe wedding in 2022. She was also always available to provide feedback on our ideas and help us figure out how to turn them into reality. In the last two months, she took over communications with the vendors and made sure we knew what still needed to happen, and when.
On the day of the wedding, Makena make sure everything ran smoothly and took care of everything before we even thought about it. As a result, we were able to enjoy our wedding and trust that everything would run smoothly behind the scenes. Our wedding day was PERFECT, and Makena and the rest of the folks at RLL played a huge part in that. Thank you, Makena!

We worked with Lili from Riley Loves Lulu for our June 2022 wedding in Marin County, CA. It was an intimate, 70 person wedding on a beautiful estate in Stinson Beach. We purchased the "month-of" planning package, which was a great investment! Lili met with us several times in the months leading up to the wedding to ensure we were on track with our planning, and then came in full-speed in the month of the event. She communicated with vendors on our behalf, worked directly with the caterer to build and place our entire rentals order, and managed all sorts of other things behind the scenes. The week of our wedding, rain unexpectedly came onto the forecast, and Lili worked tirelessly to come up with a whole new rain contingency plan, including sourcing a huge event tent at the 11th hour. This last minute scrambling was SO crucial, as we had already entered into that final week with family in town, and our capacity to do this kind of planning that late in the game was highly limited due to family obligations and stress! Then the actual weekend of the wedding, Lili handled everything. All we had to do at that point was show up and have fun! The day of the wedding, she told us what to do and where to go. She made sure things ran completely smoothly. It was wonderful! I would absolutely recommend Riley Loves Lulu, and Lili in particular, to anyone planning a wedding of any size. My Saving Grace
Jess and Lisa are without a doubt THE dream team in the world of wedding planning. I’ll set myself (the bride) up: a “bride-chilla” -- someone who believes she is chill but in reality has a hyper-specific vision, high expectations, and a penchant for mood boards. Add a pandemic and 2 wedding postponements and we have a potential cocktail for disaster.
From the moment my fiancé and I met Jess and Lisa for, we were sold by their warmth, professionalism, and passion for all things weddings. They immediately made us feel relaxed and we knew we were in good hands.
Jess and Lisa have a strong foundation as wedding planners, which was only highlighted as we worked through COVID-wedding planning. Here are the main reasons I would work with them:
1. They are your therapists. They not only know how to handle any situation, but how to help you work through the stress of it. This is invaluable.
2. They are OBSESSED with weddings. These two love their jobs and their energy is infectious. I loved wedding planning, but a lot of people don’t. They bring fun to a process than can often feel daunting.
3. They are honest. We had to make several tough decisions and RLL always gave it to us straight. They want everything to work out for you, but they don’t make the mistake of telling you what you want to hear and having it blow up in your face.
4. They are like a Google for weddings. One of the most underrated benefits of having a wedding planner is being able to ask any question ever (brides are, after all, usually doing this for the first time). Whether it’s devising a rain plan, how to evaluate vendors, guest communication, or where to put signage, they are an encyclopedia.
5. There are 2 of them and their skills complement each other. Having a dynamic duo means more support, backed up opinions, and more attention to your wedding.
So, work with them! Our wedding was beyond our wildest dreams, and I could not be more thankful that we had Jess and Lisa to help us on our journey there. -

Jess and Lisa are simply the best! They are professional, easy going, fun and are all about creating/planning beautiful weddings. Riley Loves LuLu was recommended to use through a close friend who worked with Lisa & Jess for planning their COVID micro-wedding. After our first introductory conversation with both Lisa & Jess, we knew it was the right fit for what we were looking for and didn't look any further.
We were planning a micro-wedding of sorts, ~50 guests and rented a property through AirBnB to emulate a "backyard wedding". As such, we needed Lisa & Jess's support in how to execute such a party with a focus on good food, warm / friendly aesthetics, and nurturing a close/intimate and fun vibe. We went with their partial planning package and it was perfect for us! I was really looking for a team to help us define our vision, handle the décor and aesthetics, and provide vendor insight, recommendations and facilitate some of the contractual needs and arrangements.
First of all, the wedding day execution far exceeded our expectations and what we even envisioned. Lisa & Jess run their business planning events as if they were their own party. They are full of creative ideas and always add a personal touch (they are definitely not doing copy and paste wedding from their other events!); they drive to action and are super responsive; they are focused on budget (you will only go over your budget due to your own choices and decisions -lol!) and cohesion throughout it all; and above all, they are always willing to provide guidance and insight even beyond the core scope of work. -

Highly recommend!!
The. absolute. BEST. Like so many other couples, we had to change plans when a global pandemic hit this year. Our original plan of a 120-guest wedding in wine country ended up turning into a 30-guest wedding in my sister's backyard. Enter, our angel, Lili! We had less than 2 months to plan a brand new wedding. I was stressed, but Lili stayed calm and cool through it all. She was so patient with us, listened, and supported us through the whole process. She took over seamlessly dealing with all our vendors and finding us new vendors for our new plan. Lili was always available by phone, text, or email and quickly responded. Our wedding day was perfect! She and her assistant on the day of made sure everything and everyone was taken care of and we didn't worry about a thing all day! Lili brought our vision to reality and we will be forever grateful to her and Riley Loves Lulu! I know it wouldn't have been the day it was without them. We cannot recommend Riley Loves Lulu more!..and will use them again for our larger 1 year anniversary party next year :) -

When COVID hit, I reached out to Riley Loves Lulu to gain some industry expertise and try to figure out how to navigate the unique situation. After one call, I knew I had to book them. My only wedding planning regret is that I didn't book them sooner! They took all the stress out of wedding planning. Downsizing a 150 person wedding to a 25 guest affair wasn't exactly a walk in the park, but they gave me the confidence I needed to make tough decisions and navigate tricky conversations. I looked forward to our calls so much! They are so creative, have impeccable taste, and most importantly, they genuinely love weddings. It's contagious. COVID brides, you need that kind of energy leading up to your day! My wedding was more beautiful than anything I could have imagined. My husband and I worked with Jessica and had a wonderful experience! Jessica provided month of coordination services for us and I would tell anyone it's so worth it to get the extra help leading up to your wedding. Jessica made us a detailed timeline and coordinated with all of our vendors. She made sure all of the little details were taken care of on the day of. Jessica really understood our vision for our wedding and had really helpful thoughts and ideas for decor details and event logistics. I didn't feel worried at all on our wedding day because I knew she would take care of everything to bring our vision for the day of to life. Where do I begin?! Jessica is an angel. After having everything planned for our wedding, with one and half months to go, our wedding venue FLOODED. Jessica took full charge hunting for a new venue within our budget that had everything we wanted. She found the perfect location and traveled with us to go see it. She also took the reins in finding us a new caterer, and then another caterer after the second one had to cancel. She replanned our entire wedding at the new venue, communicated with all the vendors about the change, and then days before our outdoor wedding we find out there is a STORM passing through on our wedding day. For the third time she replanned our entire wedding to take place in various indoor locations. Jessica prepared our vendors for rain and worked with our florist to design options for both an indoor and outdoor wedding. She even allowed us to wait until just hours before the ceremony to decide if we wanted an indoor or outdoor wedding and was at the ready to make either one happen. Throughout this entire crazy process Jessica always made herself available. It felt as though she had no other weddings to plan but my own. She remained optimistic, she never complained despite my texts and e-mails through all hours of the day/night, and above all she never once asked us to compromise our original vision. I got so many compliments from friends and family throughout this process on how impressed they were that I kept my cool (if you know me, this is not normal) and all I could say was “it’s all because I have the most amazing planner”. Nothing I asked for was out of reach, she made it all happen- this gal is game for anything. Looking back, I can’t imagine having our wedding any other way. Jessica was our planner, our therapist, our friend and we love her for it. -

Knowledgeable, Reliable...and Fairies of Dreamy Weddings
Lisa and Jess planned our Bay Area, October 2018 wedding and we cannot say enough positive things about our experience. The 130-person wedding was beyond our expectations, and the months leading up to it were very manageable, especially as we were planning our wedding while living in LA.
We first engaged Riley Loves Lulu six months prior to the wedding. We needed planners who were knowledgeable with vendors, and who could be trusted to drive a bulk of the planning while being respectful of our budget. We also needed some guidance on design and approach since the question "Tell me about your wedding vision!" created a lot of anxiety for us at the beginning.
We opted for the partial package and the services well exceeded our expectations. (Real talk--wedding planning in general is an expense but Riley loves Lulu is actually moderately priced relative to other Bay Area planners who aren't nearly as capable). Outside of the venue, which we were close to locking down ahead of searching for planners, Jess and Lisa sourced all our vendors within the budget that we requested--everything including the photographer, florist, paper goods, and catering service. Jess also did a large part of the wedding design which I still wouldn't know (or want) to handle on my own.
They are SO nice, capable, trust worthy, and super flexible. We made some last minute changes and both planners remained calm and solutions-oriented with our updated requests. They don't make you feel incompetent, or that as a bride or groom you should know certain things...they're just there to help and execute against your vision (or help you construct one if needed).
The wedding itself was beautiful and all of our guests had just lovely things to say. We are so thankful that we had both these women as our resource. -

We LOVED working with Jess and Lisa! We reached out to them about 6 months before our wedding and were so grateful they were able to take us on. I reached out to 5-7 planners and it was obvious from the outset that Jess & Lisa were the best. They were on top of everything throughout - they found us a caterer, DJ, rentals, stationer and made sure we stayed on budget, even though we were hosting at non-traditional venue! Lisa also helped me find an amazing alterationist at the last minute! Our wedding WOULD NOT have happened without them. Highly recommend! -
