About

Photography began as a hobby for me as a boy. My father got started in photography as a boy, as well, and he was the one who introduced me to this exciting field! I got my first camera (an Ansco Cadet!) when I was 10 and I have been taking photographs ever since. My knowledge grew dramatically when I was a member (and officer) of the Camera Club at Harrison Hall at Purdue University. There I had access to great cameras and darkroom facilities. After I graduated in 1973, the first major purchase I made was a 35mm Pentax ES, the world's first available automatic exposure SLR camera! I began photographing weddings in 1978 and it has been growing ever since.

There is no way I would choose any other photographer. From here on out, I'll recommend Rich to everyone I know for Photography. We will hire him for family portraits and baby pictures. He's does excellent work. He is professional and knows how to capture the moment. He is patient and it is apparent that he loves what he does. He is as happy in the moment as the person/people being photographed. Thank you, Rich Walton Photography for making our wedding day PERFECT!!
